When DCA first opened up, The Ariel Ride used to be a theatre that was the History of California Movie. It was for out of town tourists to know the history of california. It had Whoopie Goldberg as the narrator and it spoke of the Gold Rush and Pacific Railway. Its the reason why the ride looks like the entrance of a Edwards Cinema.
When you said "kids if you get good at math, you can work for marvel or disney" I immediately thought, "I wish I had someone like you and Amanda when I was kid inspiring me to work at Disney" my heart melted. I love Disney so much and Prvost park pass literally makes my day. I admire your work!! Love you guys, God bless
You don’t ever never wish to send your kids to be slaves yes I slaves to work for Disney. They only pay you enough money for their crappy apartment with 4 girls to a room which was extremely over crowded 2 girls per queen bed!room and board you work 60 hours a week without any overtime pay and that only takes care of your room and board my daughter got an ear infection and she worked at blizzard beach in Disney world she had a really bad kidney infection they gave her 1 day off to rest. No money leftover your parents had to provide $100.00 a week to barely survive and also provide health insurance so don’t ever have your kids dream to work for slave Disney!
@@sanhorsey It sounds like your daughter may have been manipulating you into giving her money for her extra curricular activities. 60 hours a week even at 15/hr is still over 2400 per month after taxes.
The warf is also based on Monterey(where I'm from). When I went... Felt like I was home haha. And the bread factory used to be tortillas and used to be sooooo good. Lol
Oswald! Downtown Disney Walking Tour! DCA looks awesome! I'm going next November. It's so far away, but these videos make the wait easier! I could sleep to the sound under Grizzly River Run too!
Our family LOVES the Animation Academy. We frame ours and put them on the walls! Thanks so much for featuring this. We never care which one we get - we just show up and draw whatever's next!
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. I would love a walking tour of Downtown Disney. I am planning a trip to Disneyland for the first time and these walking tours are so helpful! Thank you
Whoa! The Disney Jr. Dance Party is fun for all ages! I think the parents have just as much fun as the kids :) Crush's Turtle Talk and the Dance Party are never missed!
Thanks for all the wonderful information Chris!!! You covered lots of my favorites. Can’t wait to see more soon. “Oswald” is also one of our families favorite. 👍🏻
This is a great walkthrough of DCA. Disney has done a great job improving this park over the years. Whenever I'm in the Pacific Wharf dining area the architecture reminds me a lot of Monterey, but the businesses represented and the buildings around Ariel's Undersea Adventure are very much like San Francisco. Thanks for giving us a way to visit Disneyland and DCA from a distance when we can't be there.
I too think Oswald The Lucky Rabbit is fabulous! Thanks for this great tour Chris! PS: I, as well, really adore the sound of the lift flume machine at GRR!
There's no question DCA has improved massively since its shaky early seasons, but I do miss the full-on airfield theming around Soarin'. I really loved that and miss it. I've learned everything is somebody's favorite thing, so you can't remove anything without making somebody a little disappointed and things come and go in Disney (as in life) all the time. It's all good.
Oswald the lucky Rabbit!!! Love that you incorporated math with working with Disney!!! You do an amazing job!! Hope to meet you both in person one day!!
Pacific is based off of Monterey, Ca where the iconic red canning company bridge is that disney remodeled for the area is. Parts of the area are based from San Francisco but its also inspired from Monterey.
currently planning a trip for december and having this video on while planning is giving me such a sense of productivity, calmness, and excitement! thank you Provost Park Pass!
Oswald the lucky rabbit. Loved the walking tour and descriptions, explanations. I was a Disney kid long before DCA came to life, so it's good to see what's available in the other park, for the rare times I make my way over there. Thanks!
Oswald the Rabbit! I've been to DCA twice and have totally missed all that is offered to see! I need another trip back ASAP! Thanks for the walk, Chris!
Having been a full head character a long time ago, I must say that that Oswald was really good. And I must say that *you* are amazing for making these videos! Thank you!
Chris oh wow 😳! Thank you so much for the shout out and wearing the button, I'm really glad you enjoyed it (I hope the impossible spoonful was just as good). I love watching your videos, and I'm looking forward to what's next 😊

LOVE your DCA tour. I always learn something new watching your videos. We use to have the annual passes and thought I knew every corner of DCA. I was so wrong 😑 Again! Thanks for making these videos.
Thank you so much for this! I’m a Disney Nerd who has been to Disney world countless times, but has NEVER been to DisneyLand and DCA. Until i go, I feel like i can “visit” the California parks through your videos. Thank you!!! It’s my dream to go to all the Disney parks!! My bf and I might go to Tokyo DisneyLand next year!!
Hello Chris, thanks so much for doing this video! DCA is getting better each time I walk through that park. My favorite land to walk through is Grizzly Peak, I love the sights and smells from the fog in the geysers on Grizzly River Run. It enhances my experience and helps me seize the moment. You and Amanda are such a huge part of my life. Disney and PPP really go together so well. Oswald The Lucky Rabbit!!!
Amazing video! Thanks for all the tips and tricks for California Disneyland as me and my wife already planned our vacation in going there in the next couple of months. Looking forward to to more great videos from you!
Having grown up with Disneyland but then lived in Florida since the 90s we are more familiar with WDW. But I think I like Disneyland better even though I haven't been there in 20+ years.
I was just in San Francisco and went to the antique arcade they have there in fisherman's warf and thought how awesome something like that would have been here at the park
I was there two weeks ago...in fact, we passed by you as you were talking about Soaring Over the World. Thanks for all that you do, and keep up with the great videos.
Thank you, I really enjoyed this video! Disneyland Paris is so beautiful, I really appreciate you showing all the special decorations and the food. I hope to someday be able to visit the parks!
Hey Chris, what a great day at DCA! I love seeing Oswald; he is so cute! My heart is still racing, though, as The Golden Zephyr and Silly Symphony Swings absolutely terrify me! I haven't ridden Pixar Pal- Around, and when I do I'll head straight for the swinging gondolas. But the notion of flying through the air suspended by a meager handful of frail chain? No thank you sir! 😫 Anyway, thanks for the tour of that gorgeous park!
If I recall, there is no Sally vehicle in CarsLand because of an agreement with Porsche. There are okay on merch and in the ride, but there could not be a drivable Sally. The only one that existed was a decorated real 911 with a Sally face when the promoted the first movie. The closest we get is the one Sally we see before cars go into Ramone’s or Luigi’s.
The Pizza and Pasta is the best especially next door, salads👍 Sometimes you get lucky and there’s entertainment within the area. Restrooms are always clean and easy access too. ATMs as well.

That alternative walkway at the Grizzly River Run is one of my most favorite places! I love watching the waterfall and standing at the viewing areas to watch the riders. Once in a while those geysers will send mist over, which feels good on a hot day. Also, there is actually a mountain in Utah named Big Rock Candy Mountain (in Marysvale). My family visited a store there when I was young that sold candy that looked like real rocks. Best tasting rocks ever! Don't know if that place exists anymore, but such a fun memory. The bench was for a smoking area. Smoking is no longer allowed in the parks, so it may not be coming back.
I had no idea they had an Oswald character meet and greet. Very cool! Loved this walkthrough. I don't typically favor that park and thus have only been 2 or 3 times compared to 20 plus Disneyland trips but this video actually made me want to go again! So thank you!
