In Argentina, it is VERY RARE that we have some emergency situation like in so many other countries. Generally, the alerts are informed locally, not nationwide (perhaps to avoid alerting people who is outside that area). We don't have any mobile alerts whatsoever (including amber alerts, which is called Alerta Sofía), all is communicated thru traditional media (radio and television, and sometimes on newspapers, but usually as news and not as a proper alert). That's why we don't have a frightening sound or an alert message like in other countries, we rarely have natural disasters and people in Argentina are easily scared with almost anything. But honestly i hope soon we have some sort of alert, people are too stupid sometimes and maybe that thing would help.
