@@mackendw you are quite right. I painted the inside with black hammerite and then brushed some lanogaurd in before putting the felt back in the frames.
@@deanshortland7194 on my 03 disco, I filled every crack and hole on the underbody with fluid film. spent 2 days wire wheeling off the rust and flaking black spray that the previous owner put on. then used amsoil HD metal protector to cover the bare exposed metal. that stuff seals like a beaut!
Lovely. Nice and fiddly. Well done for tackling that job!
Yeah. Worth it in the end tho
@@deanshortland7194 Yeah, looks good.
Loving the hat!
Man from delmonte style!
This jobs on the cards but it looks like it's a job to get the rear frames, yours looking great now
Thanks pal. I would have liked to refurbed my original frames but it was quicker to buy another set and then swap over.
Hi how has the painted frames held up
So far so good. Any stone chips I can just touch up with more black hammerite 👍
Where did you get the spare door frame from?
Got them from a scrapper. £30 for all four, bit rough but they cleaned up well.
@@deanshortland7194 did you fill the channels inside with fluid film? they seem to rust from inside -> out....
