My cousin and I had almost this exact same conversation when he told me this guy he knew had tried to date his wife before they got married. And he had came back around recently, and tried to be friendly with her. Needless to say, I told him to make a few phone calls around 10. Cops are smart. They're not dumb.
😉 "I gotcha." I don't even want to know how many takes they did to wrap this scene. How Vince kept a straight face through the whole thing is beyond me.
@@RJ-cq8dd he was serious and not joking, he legit has his friends back. You can tell by the hotdog scene when Vince asked that guy if he had a problem with him eating a hotdog and favreau said he would slap him across his head 😂

These two are the best! When I see a movie with both of them in it, I know it's gonna be good! I haven't seen Vince with Will Ferrell that much lately but those two are also a good pair...
now that's a best friend!! lmao! but damn, talk about a conversation diverting completely toward another route you didn't expect, let alone, a route u don't want it to go down! lmao!!
The first time I've seen this scene I was rolling, Vince Vaugh is awesome in the movie but the other guy? Man he nailed it, playing the psycho friend that you should NEVER tell about any beef you got, he gonna make it worse...the dialogue and pacing is so on point "You're smart!", "Say it louder!"
This scene is a cinematic masterpiece.
bedlambikes AGREED!
Yes. Especially at 00:15 where Gary puts the beer down after a sip and at 00:16 he's barely picking it up for a sip.
Danny nobody said actors were intelligent. It’s a funny scene nonetheless.
@@bedlambikes great scene nonetheless. I catch things like that. ADHD I guess.

And so he finally knew what it was like to talk to someone who does not listen...
I watched this movie a couple times and never got that
This is an amazing insight!! Never caught that.
I wish they had emphasized that

This movie as a whole isn't that good but some of the Vince Vaughn parts are hilarious 🤣. Anything with the video games , this part😂😂😂😂
I think pretty much every guy on earth has a friend like this.
tmoney0925 wtf?? What kind of friends do you have? 😂😂 Jesus!
I think he is a really good friend, that’s a stand up guy
The greatest friends is that guy lol

I wish I had a friend that was that loyal🙄 or even that funny for that matter. Lol
"Make a couple phone calls tonight...especially around 10." *Intense stare* lol lol lol
You'd better believe my 10:00 phone call would be to that guy: "hey seriously, nothing's happening right? You hear me?!"
Hahaha, so funny
Trace it to either one of us
Cops are smart, trust me.
"Right ... say it louder!" lmao Favreau doesn't just make this scene, he IS this scene
samhain HHH
Oh yeah, one of the most hilarious moments in cinema
Seriously 😂😂
Love how his character's "Jon" lol --that's always a sign of a comedy with smoothly funny dialogue/banter amongst the actors.
😉 "I gotcha."
I don't even want to know how many takes they did to wrap this scene. How Vince kept a straight face through the whole thing is beyond me.
John Bailey it is so hilarious, I think about this scene at random moments
this is seriously one of my favorite movie scenes ever
Steve Kells me too, I think about it at random times, just hilarious
Watch the movie made. These two have such a great time.
I just love how favreau just isn't getting it, he's juts got the complete wrong idea, brilliant acting
FourMindsTV Nah he is just messing with Vince.
RJ he looked pretty serious to me...
FourMindsTV To me the joke is on Vince. He thinks Jon is serious and Jon wants Vince to think he is serious.
he not getting it along with the fact that vince is genuinely getting exhausted trying to make him get it i think is pure gold
@@RJ-cq8dd he was serious and not joking, he legit has his friends back. You can tell by the hotdog scene when Vince asked that guy if he had a problem with him eating a hotdog and favreau said he would slap him across his head 😂
These guys work so well together. I can’t ever get tired of their dialogue exchange in any movie starting from the classic -“Swingers”.
They were brothers in Four Christmases
They were also both in RUDY!
Swingers Favorite movie 🎥

😂
I mean, you can literally SEE the guy who he points at.
This has to be one of the most clever and ingenious funny scenes in the history of film making
JuGGtimus1 so funny
100
It would've been hilarious if at the end of the movie you randomly see a missing persons pic of the dude who was at jennifer anistons apartment.
Drew Dargis that would have been funny
"It's better if nobody trace, you don't know anything" LOL
Mike Haskell this is a masterpiece, it’s like the humor hits you in slow motion in the beginning and it just gets funnier
Mike Haskell i’ll put money on it that this whole scene was adlibed
One of the most funniest scenes ever in movie history
+HolyKnight12 Totally! their a great team, always have been!
HolyKnight12 if only his character Pete was this tough in FRIENDS

This guy stole the whole show, he's the main reason why I watch this movie. He's a true buddy
This scene kills me every time I watch it.
This is possibly one of the most underrated comedy scenes of all time.
I was dieing the entire time, but the "Say it louder" and pointing part was the cherry
The history of these 2 guys is what makes this so brilliant. I’m still not sure if he was joking!
Vaughn and Favreau are the most underrated comedy duo of this era…every scene there in together is all time🤣🤣🤣
"it's better if nobody tra... you don't know anything" knocks on wood
➡️ the wood knock is the best part of this entire scene
"I'll take care of it" lol the friend you want but don't
Vince Vaughn and Favreau sell this scene lock stock and barrel. Hilarious!
but you gotta tell me exactly what ur gonna tell em if the cops come to you because we tell a different story lol

He’s a true friend
Jon Favreau on par with calling the answering machine in Swingers. God he’s funny.
Phenomenal update of the classic "who's on first" bit! 😂 You KNOW they shot at least 10 different versions! 😁
Everybody see it as comedy movie..but actually its reality disguised in comedy
That dude made the MCU and saved Star Wars
I think we all do have this kind stupid and funny friends 🤣🤣🤣
Now that's friendship
1:25 couldn’t hold it in anymore 🤣
The reason this scene is so funny n ingenious is cuz the scene was almost entirely improvised. Hardly in the script.
This is the best scene in the movie CTFUU. Their chemistry is FN epic 😂😂
This scene had me crying of laughter
Who thought Favreu would be the guy to direct blockbuster movies.
He directed ironman
For all you know nothings happening
I don't want anything to happen

So crazy to watch Swingers and then this movie. Just like the same characters all grown up, decades later.
In Ironman 3, I think Favreau references this scene, when Pepper meets Killian for the first time. Anyone else spot that?
