my high school won this mat in a raffle. we use it for tourneys lol
That’s sweet
That’s awesome
That’s actually really dope !
Damn. Knowing now what Nolf has accomplished, it’s crazy to think how good IMar really was.
Defeating one of Sanderson’s middleweight monsters instantly makes you legend.
Imar really deserved it. Such a humble guy. I've met him in a Michigan training camp.
Great comment, when you're in NCAA Finals against Penn state you're really in that circle trying g to beat Sanderson, IMAR essentially beat Sanderson. Nolfe would've never been a great wrestler w/o Sanderson
@@davidgantz9378 I agree. However Nolf was a redshirt freshman in that season and hadn't really come into his own yet in terms of the big stage. He wouldn't really dominate the 157 until IMar bumped up to 165 and then things were all Nolf at 157. Then we know what happened to IMar at 165 with Joseph and their wars.
3 time pa state champion. Would have never been great without Cael??? 😆 He had determination. He would have been great anywhere.....except Iowa. Lol
@@jasontipton546 yeah, Cael refined him but Jason Nolf was already a hammer...
One of the best NCAA finals matches of all-time.
Not really. Still angry with Nolf. Not much he could've done, but he could've adjusted a bit more. If IMar didn't move up to 165 I'm not too sure if Nolf ever actually beats him in the finals.
Indubidubly 🙂
looking back at these matches it's crazy to see how bad the stall calls were on Imar. He's be fighting for a takedown and the moment he adjusts he'd be hit with a stall call smh
Martinez always blew my mind with those head stand escapes from bottom. No one else does that.
Are you talking about a granby roll?
Actually if you watch wrestling, alot of wrestlers do the granby roll
@@SuperPanthers77 most wrestlers go over their upper back with their head tucked in, IMar literally stood on his head at times
@@thegrindpodcastwithdanielr3781 IMar does granbys to an extreme. Some of his escapes looks like cartwheels. His compact build lends very well to these moves.
@@SuperPanthers77 the one at 3:34
One of the best championship matches of all time.
8:30 such a good ass moment. Love the announcers voice.chills.😁😁😁
Love your pfp, that's the astra skill from fe
@@thematturbator2146 YEAH the skill is op I love the skill
Why is the pic of the video Vincenzo vs imar like??
shhhh you’re talking too loud
@@joshmorris4811 lmao
They should upload the 141 Bryce Meredith vs Yianny Diakomihalis from 2018

Need the whole 2018 championships ASAP
It’s on here.
@@andizzyJD12 yea ik, cuz they responded and posted it after but this is from like a year ago
Wow that was such a great finals match at the time I was working overnight shift so I was watching wrestling but casually and holy crap with a amazing finals match that was
Can someone explain that stall call in the 2nd on IMAR? It’s not like he was being pushed off the mat or avoiding action, he just sprawled, as he should have. And it’s not like he had been stagnant for a long time, I’m just confused. Anyone have a good explanation?
My thoughts exactly. Called right after a flurry of action also. It dosnt make any sense. bad call. I really think nolf thought he was going to get 1 pt call at the end of the 3rd for the win.
Horseshit call
They upload on random Sundays?
Jason nolf used to walk onto the mat and he did not do much walking back and forth or do the pre wrestle bounce. He just walked straight up and put his foot on the line and waited on the referee like "let's blow the whistle and imma clean this up right quick".
MARTINEZ FTW
Isaiah deserved this win over anyone else, nolf is a fantastic wrestler no doubt but Isaiah was better that day
Very good match!
Nolf got pretty lazy in the last 20 seconds, though many wouldn't be expecting that hard of a slide by attempt heading into overtime.
Boom you nailed it. Nolfe thought he'd casually get his PSU win with a boring single in OT, IMAR showed him what it means to throw caution and fear to the wind and WRESTLE, EPIC final 20 seconds, heart of a champion
@@davidgdmz4551 We both know Nolf would have definitely taken him to school in 2018. Oh wait, he didn't have to do anything because Joseph did it for him the next season. Lol.
I don’t think he was being lazy as much as trying to push the pace and possibly get that second stall call. Imar had a history of gassing out and had already gotten the one stall call.
2021
Nolf is my favorite wrestler ever.
I don't think he can ever wear glasses with ears that low.
IMAR took most the shots and ALL the exciting make the crowd roar shots. Nolf got 1 takedown, IMAR got 2. Considering that this was against the greatest coach of all time Cael, IMAR crushed him
Not looking for an argument here but at 5:44 is Nolf allowed to use his foot like that or is the ref just letting it slide?
Nolf can do that, but it would have been illegal if he was full on kicking I Mar in the head
@@cjb2836 Should be illegal in my opinion because it could be a cheap way to knock an opponents headgear over their eyes.
@@hooplists1112 then their head gear isn’t tight enough
@@dillonmackay683 Tightness doesn't matter when somebody is grinding their foot on it trying to take it off.
Plus the rubber on hair and skin is nasty and will cause burns and cuts. It's a dirty move. Tell ya what, for being dirty like that, nolf got what he deserved in the last 12 seconds haha, IMar is nasty, please come to UFC!!
6:28 ain’t no way that ref just called nolf “bud” 😂
Yeah… almost like he’s a lot older than
that duck under at the end!!!!
I want refs to shut up and stop screaming "center!". If you see stalling then call it. Otherwise shut up. And same for finder locking. Call it as stalling. Otherwise shut up. Leave the coaches to coach. Coaches are who the wrestlers should be listening for during the action. Thank you.
If it wasn't for the Penn State Middle Weight Titans, IMar would have gone down as one of the greatest to ever do it. I don't know if Imar would have stayed at 157 if Nolf wasn't there. It could have been about getting used to a weight closer to 74 Kg to prime for an Olympic slot. I think Vincenzo is good, but the fact that he's only a class above Nolf and he wrestles for Penn State makes me feel like he has an advantage against Imar. He's probably the training partner for the only guy to ever beat Imar. Insider knowledge and such.
Electric match
Worlds best hairline.
Nolf should’ve won this one. Also realize how Nolf is the closest Penn State wrestler to win 4 NCAA championships
Bo nickal to lost in the NCAA finals to Myles but then got revenge in 2018 NCAA with a pin 😤💪🏼
@@Smokey561yeah but even Nickal, he almost got majored by Martin and Martin was #11. Nolf was literally 1 takedown away from being a 4 timer
what bout ed ruth
@@martinezjames83 Ed Ruth got 3rd his freshman year
False.. you want him to win but he didn’t so stfu and show respect. He couldn’t touch imar in big tens or finals
crazy
This ref doesnt believe in stall mates
STALEMATES you charlatan
Wrestling nolf looks like it must feel like dying of cancer. But martinez is just such a complete gangster he doesnt get phazed
This is a fantastic match! Like this is a great match! I kinda wish Nolf won
After Isaiah went through his dads death and all that I think he deserved it, plus Vincenzo pinned him next year in the finals lmao
Yeah we know cause you mad a white guy lost 🤣🤣
@@crimsonchin142 what
@@crimsonchin142 surprising fact here: everything isn't about race
It is great! Thanks for stopping by!
Jared gave the match away being lazy wtf
Jared?? Lol
imo this ref a complete bum
That stall warning on Martinez was probably the worst I've ever seen. He called it while Martinez was defending a shot like wtf is he supposed to do?
Cant claim courage when you ran at the end.
nah, he smashed him the last 20 seconds, 2 high risk takedown attempts, Nolfe made none. But oh your'e talkin about the last 6 seconds, Nolfe had the entire 3rd period to actually shoot, he didn't, IMAR showed the courage
IMAR was smarter, Nolf was better.
@SOSA yeah?
nolf got owned
@@charleyu5506 lol
Being smarter is being better.
How was Nolf better?
nolf was the better wrestler
Nolf is incredible, but martinez is a more talented athlete.
Nolf wrestled Martinez match. I know he wish he had it back. Especially at the end. Get out of that
Martinez with those horrible rolls at the end of the first period very luck jason didnt get back points out of it
So horrible he got an escape point right at the end of the period lol.
