Hey, I’m living in Ankara, Turkey, which is quite a cold and moisture-free city. I have a well grown euphorbia trigona that I’ve been taking care of for 4 years, but my Euphorbia ingens died very quickly. I’m trying to figure out if low moisture was the cause. They were placed in the same room, and I was watering them at the same times, but I can’t determine the exact reason. I’d like to buy another ingens, but if the low moisture or cold weather was the issue, I don’t want to risk killing another one lol. Loved your video very instructive, thanks!!
I've made some assumptions from your post, in particular that moisture free means very low humidity? If that's correct then no, the Ingens should be fine. It's a succulent like the Trigona you have, and can cope with that easily. They will struggle with long periods of no watering and they dislike cold temperatures. But I think Turkey is generally warm (at least by our standards here in the UK) so "cooler temperatures" in your climate shouldn't be a problem. Obviously it could be a factor, what sort of temperature is it growing in?
I leave the leaves on and a new euphorbia grows. To get branching I have seen growers cut the plant off at 3 or 4 inches above base. 2 branches will grow from that cut.
They can be a little slow to get going, at least above the soil level, but hopefully all being well it's busy establishing roots and getting ready. Fingers crossed next year you get some top growth.
I got a cutting from the Canary Islands and brought it home to Ireland. It has taken about 8 months to start to root. I was going to give up, but first roots are eventually forming.
This was the best video about Euphorbias I have watched here on youtube. Now mine will probably do much better 😅👍
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment that. It's very kind and it's made my day. Good luck with yours!

This is good to know, thank you, although I'm nervous to try it!
thank you king
Perfect...
Good timing! got a cutting of variegated ingens like 3 months ago, however . no progress! Guess it rooted, but no growth...

They grow really well in South Australia where it’s dry and hot… Love how structured they are.🌵🌵💚

I have one that's around 5 meters tall, it has stopped growing but I think it will stay in its current pot forever haha
There comes a point when it's big enough! And oh my, if you ever did want it larger you're gonna need a team to help you do it 🤣
