Thanks for the help! I was super nervous repotting mine because it's super top-heavy with tons of arms growing out, just how I personally like it to look. The string trick helped so much and I was able to repot with no problems! Even got to see some new growth that has went unnoticed which was a great surprise! Thanks again for the great tutorial!
I live in Tempe and got mine last summer. It didn't even flinch in the heat. It's been a great plant here for those of us that really struggle with other succulents in the summer. I did bring mine in overnight when we had frost in the forecast.
Greetings from Tucson. It's tough to find succulents (other than cacti) which can stand to to our heat & sun. I've seen a few around town which got hit by the freezes so you were wise to do that. Nell
I finally got mines today after being on the hunt for a year. I am so excited also found huge crested cactus. I believe that's what it called for two dollars. I got two of them.
Yup, Iearned not to touch my eyes just today - if you're cutting off lower thorns (toddlers in the house), even the thorns ooze sap when broken. So, yeah, I touched the scissors, then, without thinking, rubbed my eyes. It was about like getting sunblock in them, and caused no lasting harm, but it was unpleasant. Mine is getting really tall. I need to find it a good, heavy pot.
Hi Nell! I came across this video searching the care for this plant. I learned you’re in Tucson which I’m planning a visit in sept 2021. Would you recommend any plant shops to visit? I’m looking for some cacti native to the area as a souvenir to bring home. Thanks!
Hello! I live in growing zone 9a. Like Tucson, temps here are dangerously high for probably 7 to 8 months. As a succulent and cacti novice, in a way, I just purchased my first red Euphorbia Trigona. I want to transplant it to a tera cotta pot. I have many questions about my supplies, growth outside, fertilizing, distilled or tap water, location placement in my yard, etc. Please reply in order that you share your knowledge and expertise. Let's connect, please. I really would appreciate it. Thank you.
Thanks for this video! I have 2 Euphorbia Trigona Reds. 1 is 6 foot tall and the other is 5 1/5 feet tall. They are about 6 years old. I live in KY so I can't keep them outdoors all year round. Could you make a fence with these?
Hi Nell, just watched this video because i think i have a Euphorbia, and it hasn't done anything! no growing, or dying. But i noticed your pants, I have pair just like those! lol
I live in Sun City. I got one of these last fall. It was hit with the frost in January. I cut it back and it is in my garage. Now I was going to put in my front yard in full sun. What do you suggest? Your plants always look so healthy. Last year I really got into succulents. I moved hear from Wisconsin and loved that look. Unfortunately nothing survived the sun just fried everything. Most of the people I follow on U tube are from California totally different climate. Now I can only propagate cactus🤷🏼♀️ I need help.
Hi Christine - I lived on the coast of CA for 30 years & now live in Tucson. Very different climates for fleshy succulents. I have quite a few "fleshies" & grow them in the bright shade. The sun here is so intense! You might want to grow your trigona with shelter from the afternoon sun. Nell
I have a euphorbia (chandelier cactus) that has become inundated w/ red scale 😖😫 I didn’t even know it was scale! (That’s probably why it got ahead of me) I’ve been treating w/ 75% isopropyl alcohol and neem oil spray .5%. Anything else I can do? Should I go to 1% neem? I’ve been spraying every day at dusk and many of the red marks have turned brown.

NICE - I like to use velcro stripping when stabilizing my plants, or encouraging it's broke.
I've got Velcro ties too & use those for my outdoor projects because they're heavier. Nell
If a piece drops or breaks off, do you let it callus over and plant back into pot?
Hi Neil, Thanks so much for your advice. I will move my Euphorbia out of the sun. Just looking for a part shade area, which is hard to find.
I guess I am pretty off topic but do anybody know of a good website to stream new movies online ?

Hi - I used horticultural oil for scale because it smothers them. It can be used for other insects too. Nell
Where do you reside???
I live in Tucson, AZ which is in the Sonoran Desert. Nell
The leaves do not grow back on this plant.
I wish i grow old like you. So adorable..and plus surrounding by the plants 😍😙
