RAE Gear Sheath + Leatherman Tool = Awesome!!

  • Made in the USA. I carry a multi-tool off and on as my EDC but not as much as I would like to until now. Before I would either place it in my pocket and with a huge bulge or use the pocket clip which also took up all the room in my pocket. Using the standard sheath also created too much bulge. This sheath from R.A.E. Gear is the first I have found that makes we want to carry my multi-tool again.

    I contacted RAE about horizontal carry option, he said that there has been a lot of interest in that so keep an eye out in the future.

    I got the version for the Wave that has an added space behind the tool that holds a Bit Kit to make it even more useful!

    Great vid, great product! I too have the Charge Titanium. I wish I could make use of this great product but I like being able to carry the attachments too. The standard Leatherman leather belt holster has features that allow me to do that. Thanks for the vid.

    That looks like a great product. I'm going to see if they have anything for Victorinox, but will at least pick one up for my Wave. Thanks for spotlighting this cool product, Ben, and greetings from Pittsburgh. Laura

    Hes a good guy at RAE and good on you for supporting an upcoming business. Hes up and coming so if other viewers have suggestions for him it would be a great idea to send him a message on his insta or through his site.

    Hey Ben just wanted to say great job on your videos they are very helpful. There is a company from Canada called SKINTH SOLUTIONS that makes custom sheaths for multi tool pliers and also allows you to carry a flashlight and bit kits, mini prybar, tweezers and all kinds of EDC tools. would love to see a video review on the custom Skinth sheaths. I personally owned a Skinth XL and I carry LM Surge with many other EDC tools.

    Thank You, but I stole it from the Knife Company that puts a Magnet in the Sheath. LT Wright? Bark River? Anyway, give it a shot. Should work with that thin Steel. Take Care.

  • @SN-qu2gz

    This has the same problem as every case for the Surge. Where do you put your bits, extension and file/saw?

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      i guess if I am worried about carrying all that I would use the stock sheath.

      @SN-qu2gz 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ben - I use the Nite Ize Tool Holster Stretch. It fits the Surge perfectly and has a pocket in the back that holds the saw or file and ONE of the bit kits. It was like $10 on Amazon and is very nice. Check it out!

    Need one with molle so you can attach to webbing i.e. Plate Carrier.

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      on a carrier I don't care as much about the bulk and also want to be sure it wouldn't fall out so to me a nylon sheath for that application is better.

  • @lesliepaulkovacs6442

    Nice Ben. Thought of a solution for the Retention. Go to Harbor Freight, get one of the Magnets they sell with the Hole in it and Gorilla Tape it just below the Spring Clip on the Back. They sell different sizes, but I'd get the largest that fits. Plus in case you have to fish something out of a Pond that's Steel, just rip the tape off and tie on a String. I would carry it on the Opposite Side of your Phone, however. Take Care.

    The exposure on the phone's camera was acting weird. The audio was kinda sorta poorish... Other than that, I guess it's ok 👍🏻 (I know this wasn't a review on the video quality or the phone for that matter, just my 2cents). 📱#Apple 🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎
