- *UPDATE*: Torque now has a version of the app specifically designed for the Parrot Asteroid Smart.
Torque Pro running on a Parrot Asteroid Smart Head Unit in a Toyota 86 using an ODB 2 Bluetooth adapter from Dx.com
Adapter 01: dx.com/p/super-... (Didn't work)
Adapter 02: dx.com/p/elm327... (Worked)
Order two different ODB 2 adapters just in case one winds being faulty as was the case with mine.
I've tried 2 bluetooth dongles so far and my Parrot Smart does not even see them. The dongles do work as I've been able to pair them both with my tablet, but not with the Smart. The smart must use an outdated standard or something. Anyway I want to thank you for the link to Dx.com. I found the dongle you have and ordered one plus a few more unrelated gadgets. It's a fun website to shop. Again, thanks.
Hey mate. Sorry to bother you on such an old video.
The obd2 that didn't work, what happened? I have one now, it is getting detected by my Parrot Asteroid Smart but when I click to pair it just keeps saying "Pairing..." it never asks for the pass code 1234 and never actually connects. Wondering if I should order the one you had that's working or if I'm doing something wrong somehow. Any help appreciated. Cheers
No worries man! I found it was just down to pure luck. They came directly from China and there’s no way to guarantee quality!
@@brandcaul that DX link doesn't work 😭 anyone know where I can get one of these that work with the Parrot Asteroid Smart
Damn that is the one I got coming in the mail. Lol
Hi @brandcaul is this unit upgrade-able to android 4.0 or higher???
that second one is the same one that i have on my tacoma and it works fine on mine as well, i use the play store version of torque since i already paid for it and it works great. i'm curious if there are any device specific improvements with the asteroid market version over the generic
Hi..nice video..Did you root your asteroid smart??
can you access the menu to "manage extra PIDs" and "add custom PID?"
