I highly suggest using the CLI command "set nav_extra_arming_safety = ALLOW_BYPASS" to allow arming on the bench without having GPS lock and all. You simply hold the throttle to low and yaw to right and while holding those flip your ARM switch and you're now ARMed. However this does not setup a Home location so it should not be used in the field.
Inav 2.4 has a few extra tricks re arming, all detailed in the release notes. But be careful, that method only disables the navigation pre flight checks not all of them (with the exception of low throttle) so doesnt have the same effect... Happy flying!

Coming from betaflight to inav for wings this is very cool! On betaflight I kinda of risolved this by usign logical conditions directly on my taranis, disabling disarming if the throttle is not zero, adding anyway a pot to emergency disable in case of problems, used a central pot since it's very difficult to switch it all way down inadvertitely!

I use a pot for arming my wings but have a throttle cut on a switch. That way if I accidentally hit the switch I just lower the throttle then re-enable the throttle switch.
With the release of 2.6, this process has changed. Have you got it sorted out in 2.6 yet? I would love a quick update video for this if you get a chance :-)

Betaflight has a provision to set the limit angle for arming but inav does not have the feature. That why I'm asking. There must be a cli command that will set the angle limit but I can't find any info on it
I almost lost my quad because i flipped RTH instead of ALTHOLH very close to home. It disarmed. Second time, my friend was flying and he panicked because quad came close his face and he flipped RTH. It disarmed again. Well, I'll not do that mistake now but there's anyway this will do anything for disarming if RTH flipped close to home bug.

@@Painless360 Appreciate it! I follow a lot of your videos when setting up my planes, and this was a new issue to me, I accidently had a disarm in flight, and I just couldn't rearm. While I think overriding rearm safeties in flight should be a standard option in INAV, if nothing else it looks like we can program the rearming ability in: th-cam.com/video/ndxtVzC7LHA/w-d-xo.html Seems like you could make a better video than MrD did about this, just to raise attention about it. Absolutely should be on every plane in my opinion.

so just to be sure, for logic condition 1 you set it to whichever rc channel your arm switch is on? (in your case ch10)

What if you have auto launch enabled? Will it go into auto launch mid flight?
The better way to do this now is to set up a logical condition that stops disarming if the craft is in flight... video coming soon..

I think i armed in flight just by setting the arm angle to 180... But all of this, im going to have to tinker with it ALL :D

inav should not allow to disarm at 100m up during flight,.
I've created a winged quad similar to the "black fly" ultralight. How do I configure inav to arm with the flight controller at ~45 degrees to level?

set inav_reset_home = FIRST_ARM / this command also seems to be a good idea for CLI..?
