If your Holley CL works off PID algo to get it to react faster you could increase the P term until it begins oscillating then give it some I till it's close. Majority of the time I don't run any D term unless it needs some help predicting the swing like if the fuel map was all over the place. I'm sure you already know this though.
Maybe a smaller turbo or a shot of NOS to help spool the turbo… I remember Cleetus having to use a small shot of Nos because he couldn’t get his turbos to spool fast enough off the line. Can’t wait to see the Truck rip

This video has me hyped up. First when I heard officially that the engine out the nova was going in because from the first video I said you guys should put in the full set up that's in the nova in this truck. Can wait to see it
One thing you may look at doing is doing a fuel offset on the advance tables to add or remove fuel by rpm when the t brake is activated. That way you dont have to keep making base table changes. I started doing it that way and if it needs more or less you can make easy changes.
My buddy had a 2.8 s10 with a 4 speed stick shift back in the very early 2000s. It wasn't that slow for the time, problem with his is it topped out at 85mph max. Did super awesome burnouts though, especially after it got wrecked. It had a homemade wooden bed, that was fairly light. Would melt the skinny little tires in 3rd gear and it had a great limited slip, also didn't wheel hop anymore with the wood bed. Before it was wrecked you know it had the classic 40 series Flowmaster with the big ass stove pipe exhaust tips lol

I had a 98 S10 with the 4.3 v6 and a 5 speed. Not bad for what it was until a dmf hit me. Owning that truck once it`s done would be awesome. If I may, what does it take to drop a sbc (350) in a 96 blazer 4wd 4door? The 4.3 gave up the ghost and I just can`t part with it. Great video as always guys, you never disappoint. You can drop in a TBI fuel injected 350 vortec out of a (around the same year) Silverado. They are really easy if you're mechanically inclined enough to know the basics (judging by your choice of words you seem like you are). This type of thing is the only thing TH-cam and Google help out with that's positive lol. I'm sure you can pull it off. The cool part of this particular swap is the 350's engine harness and ECU is literally plug and play with your trucks original harness. Pull the 4.3 along with it's harness (it has it's own harness that unplugs and comes out with the engine) then drop in the 350 with its harness and plug everything back in. After that your factory gauges and everything will work like new. Of course I left a a bunch of the obvious. There's hundreds of videos on this swap
The give away truck is going to make someone a awesome ride especially with a piece of the OG S-10. I enjoyed the shenanigans and the top notch entertainment. God bless and as always be safe.

2.8 makes 160 hp +/- depending on yr and config. 2.2 4 banger with an internal oil filter in the pan was the "Iron Duke". Love the show guys.
