    Recently picked one up. For life of me couldn't get it to take the new code. Read the book and quick setup. Felt dumb like I was missing something. Come to watch this and end the code with a # sign yet in the book its a * symbol.

      When me and my dad put it in it just fades out nothing happens we pressed the red button also to reset and no yellow indicator came up, the cables are good and connected and battery we did everything right but it’s not letting us put our own code in
      Or even reset it, my dad spent a good $500 on it,
      Did u find a way to fix it? Sanctuary uses like the exact same keypad for other products in there line

    If the code isn’t working can I use the “backup key” for an emergency open?

      Correct! Please keep your keys in a safe place, and not inside your safe.

    Is the light inside the safe supposed to come on automatically? Mine is coming out automatically without having to push the green activate button is that normal? Just hoping the light isnt on inside the safe when closed wasting battery

    Just received this from Costco, and there is no key, nor handle to open the safe. Any ideas what to do?

    When I set the code, I get the green light, which should mean it was successful. Then I go to the step that says to confirm the code and I should be able to retract the bolts- I just get the yellow LED-I have tried it like 10 times-please help

      Same issue here bought it at Costco . The key came with it wouldn't go all the way in. Turn it at 3 o'clock but handle couldn't open the safe. What do I do?

    What are you supposed to do when u get this home and the key won’t turn all the way to 3oclock and stops at two and you can’t open the door in the first place to set it up?

    How to remove the lock face to replace the battery?

      Simply twist the lock face counter-clockwise and it should pop off! Once the battery is replaced, Align the lock face to the backer plate, with the lock face slightly rotated to the left.       For context I'm not some robber, I work at a goodwill and we got donated a safe and I'm just curious as to what's inside, also we do have protocol that if we find anything personal we have to give it to managers to be destroyed

    How do you turn keypad sound on?

      Hold * for 3 seconds

      To turn "silent entry mode" OFF, press and hold the * button for 3 seconds. The yellow LED light will flash 2 times and beep.

    How to reset

      Detailed instructions are on page 7 of your manual.
      On the inside of the safe door, locate the brass cap. Unscrew and remove the cap, giving access to the reset button. Press the reset button. You will hear 2 beeps and the touch pad will illuminate indicating that you are now in programming mode.

    Hi my dad just bought a different sanctuary safe but it has a similar keypad in this video
    We set eveyrthing up cables plugged it in and folllowed the manual
    When we put the code 159# in the keypad nothing happens it just turns black/off
    This was weird, so we kept following it and we reset using the red button and in the manual it says the keypad should indicate a yellow lock but nothing shows up even pressing the reset button multiple times pressing and releasing
    We need a solution we also lost the receipt so I don’t even know if a warranty claim will work
    He spent $500 on it, and by the way we checked the the white cable that connects to the keypad the pins are not bent or broken the cable is fine no tears or anything so we don’t know what’s going on

      Hello, the digital lock is used to lock the safe. The key is for backup in case you forget your passcode or your battery dies.

    This safe is absolutely garbage. My handles are stuck and won’t open. The keypad isn’t dead, safe is brand new. Have to use key everytime I want to get into it. Don’t buy this thing for it to fail on you. The cheap pricing seems economical until the thing fails to open without a key.

    There is no single spoke or key to unlock the door….i think they are all placed inside the safe because they are not in the box the safe came in. What should I do?

      It's in a box taped and sort of hidden in the card board panel on the front of the safe when you remove during unboxing. It's easy to miss! I had already thrown it away in the garbage bin and then this video made me to go back and find it. Glad I caught it on time. Hope it's helpful...
