Not sure if yall missed it but the reason that the first girl took so long to turn was because the dad/teacher was giving her medical to prevent her from turning.He even said its slowing it by a couple hours at most with the injections. And lastly sure yall have noticed but with everyone else to speed of how fast you turn has to do with where you were bit, like how it took longer for the best friend to turn who was bit on the leg vs the teacher who was bit on the lower part of his arm.

i think the acceleration of them turning depends on the psychological emotions they feel and their immune systems, like the teacher and isak they were both indenial and vulnerable they were bitten and just started turning faster when they started to realize they actually were, i think fear speeds up the infection and anger fights the infection

Also, zombie movies require very good BGM at the right moments which the 2nd half didn't have.

Characters are prety aware that it's a zombie outbreak, they even call them zombies and mention Train to Busan. The thing is that they didn't know anything about the virus and how it works.

Lol I get the frustration but please bear in mind that they are high schoolers and in an APOCALYPSE they (us too, you have to be realistic to admit) wouldn't be thinking rationally 100%. Sure they have knowledge about zombies from movies but remember it was fiction for them until now. They're in shock and their reactions are delayed while others aren't. (All of us respond to shock differently). Bear in mind also, that certain conversations and decisions made by the students are that made by adolescence who are dependent on surviving, not kicking ass and finding weapons to defeat something that can literally kill them.
It is not because they're in high school, it's just how koreans make their zombie films and shows (maybe in exemption of kingdom).

i think, the reason why Onjo's friend was turning too slow, is because of comfort, notice how her eyes changed? when she's scared her eyes turn black, when she got comfort from Onjo, it turned to normal eyes again, and when Cheong-san grab Onjo, Isak turned, because she's scared again, you will notice it in ep. 5(?) where gwinam turned to zombie but, only half zombie(spoiler) because he's not scared, you can also notice the FEAR in cheon-san's bestfriend Gyeong-su. I hope you understand, english is nnot my language. this is just my opinion hehe

I finally started watching this because of y'all and made to episode 8 and all I can say is wow y'all are in for a crazy ride.
The thing with these zombies is unlike what you would believe they're still other bodies hosted from regular individuals so it's not easy just knocking them down or picking them up like they're toothpicks and throwing them out the window
In episode 4 they show this and then you Have to think they're trying not to get bit by a zombie at the same time 1 bite you turn...

Day by day people pass out, freeze or feel sick just from a phone call saying that a relative/friend has passed away, so I don't see any problem reacting the same way when suddenly 80 people around you become cannibals and die too, so take it easy.

In reality, some people freeze up, some make mistakes and some do surprisingly well and so on.
Fight, flight, or freeze. Even trained combat soldier's body gets locked up. Shock can literally kill people much less just making their reaction slow.
