Welcome to the ninth chapter of the book of Proverbs!
'Wisdom hath builded her house,
she hath hewn out her seven pillars:'. Proverbs 9:1
What are these 'seven pillars?'. Some scholars point to James 3:17 where seven descriptions explain the progression of, 'wisdom from above', ('But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy').
Some people say the, 'Seven Pillars' are those Paul details in Ephesians 4:4-6, 'There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all'.
