Really enjoyed this video. We bought ours new in 1991 along with our 91 Toyota 4WD and we still have them both and in great condition!! In 1992 it was our home on the road for 6 months. The only time we couldn't deploy it was during a night in Chaco Canyon with 50+ mph winds. A solid gadget. Adding a pair of additional leaf springs really helped with the weight and kept the truck level.
I got one of these brand new to put on my new 1999 Hilux, got it painted to match, it was $5000 and worth every penny. The Wildernest is by far better than anything on the market today. It is easy to setup/takedown, still use the truck, comfortable, more room, 9’ from bed to roof. If a company made these today, they would outsell everything. I wish I still had mine.
Just suscribed, it was the line about drinking down a dirt road, looking for a quiet campsite, with a great view! Ive never heard of the wildernest. Looks awesome. Cant eait to see the build!
I just picked one up for 800 bucks and plan to restore it too. Plan to add a wood stove and get tent remade. I’m in WA State. Have a first gen Tacoma too. Be great to hook up and compare them
Could anyone possibly point me in the direction of some of a wildernest in the mid-atlantic and/or accessories for them? Such as the tailgate curtain, the carpet kit, or the kitchen/laundry organizer? I just picked one up and fir some reason the previous owner(s) removed everything and didn't include it in their sales. TIA!
I just picked up my wildernest camper yesterday i paid $1,000 it needs a little work. It still has the original tent. Any advice on what to use to clean it and get all the stains off? It's going on my 1990 Toyota pickup 4x4

We've had a wildernest for 12 years. The previous owner did a great job restoring it and it has served us well.
i got one yesterday for 200. is cracked on the right so it slopes to the side though. needs a ton of work but i think i got it for a crazy deal.
