Remember when I sniffed this one for the 1st time and thought: 'Wow, this is different but so good.' I immediately purchased it and since then it‘s one of my favorites at all. Very underrated, deserves much more attention imo.
How is the performance?
First time i ever wore it, (and I'm a 49 year old man), some 60's ish guy in the grocery line said, "you smell really good." all day long that day, i just smelled AMAZING. It's one of the most creamy, sweet but masculine fragrance

Just got mine today based off your recommendation. So far I'm loving the opening. Waiting for the dry down. But I'm sure I'll love it too! IMO this very well could be a signature scent.

One of my favorite designer fragrance, in my top 5. In the future you do need to do the video with the top most beautiful opening (designers).

I love the ideal line. It's like my secret line here because NO ONE wears it. I absolutely love cologne and edp. Cool is nice to me as well

True about the tobacco thing. It gives that feel off because of the sweetness which many tobacco notes give off on their own but in this case it's 2 notes of the incense and cherry that give that off.

This is a line I want to look more into .. I've tried the ideal cologne & I thought it was ok totally worth the $25 it goes for but nothing I was interested in adding to my collection
Been wearing this for two weeks and it quickly sits right there on top of my night out scents. It's just that good. Aside of the gourmandy combo of cherry and vanilla, other notes like lavender, leather and woodiness help to neutralize the potential (overly) sweet accord. It is a perfect balance of sweetness and elegance. It's not a scent for boys imo, definetely suits better for mature men; thanks to the complexity. Nevertheless, I find this to be naughty yet classy hence wearing this with suit and tie will make you the sexiest guy in the meeting room! It's a worthy blind buy to me.

There are no tobacco type notes I can detect on my skin. But your experiences are different. It's still a wonderful high end fragrance.

5 spray on that day and work in the controlled environmet about 23c
so that's the last day i wore this to work.
for me lhomme ideal edp is for date day or night.
more well-rounded cherry that's not like cough syrup also more feminine than pure havane.

Yes, I definitely encourage men to wear THIS and not Le Male on dates:) Timmy, are you kidding me??? Guerlain is my most fav designer brand and that cologne IS THE BEST totally agree but I definitely love their feminine scents. My boyfriend loves this one too. It's just soo good and reminds me just a bit of Fève Délicieuse by Christian Dior

I own the EDP and its become my signature scent. By far my most complimented fragrance. And I've owned probably 25 bottles in the past 3 years... And counting 😊
I love me some vintage/old school scent but this sauce is really nice. Have you tried the black one, intense. Its amazing
to me it's not old fashioned but we all have our opinions:)

Guerlain is my favorite brand. EDP and L'intense are so good. Getting more compliments using Intense over EDP.
Guerlain Vetiver also a gem for pure freshness

Why not? You could apply less, on a wider area, just make it more airy. Don't buy into this whole season bullshit. Of course, your preference is the only thing that matters

Ehh to me it is just a worse performing version of pure havane. They are both imo to sugary sweet cherry bubble gum. With the dry down of ideal just falling apart earlier and turning into powder.

Nice leather almond cherry fragrance...Love the opening but this performance is garbage, both longevity and projection
For me this scent was a weird one. Too sweet too rich and just odd. Smells like you got fruity candle wax spilled on you.
Maybe you should take a shower first and actually spray the appropriate amount of sprays on your skin

I could probably be the only one in the world who absolutely dislikes this scent. Man, It's sooo damn linear it makes me wanna throw up sometimes.
@Bent on fire. Yes, I don't like this perfume. However, I have the 2016 version. It got reformulated nowadays and the bottle is no longer painted, and the scent is much more bearable and wearable in my opinion.
