I gifted myself L’Homme Ideal EDP for Christmas, and darn, is it great. Such a wonderful amber woody/gourmand fragrance with those cherry/almond/tobacco accords. It’s one of the five foundational fragrances to my wardrobe. Love it!

Dallas, in part, your videos are one of the biggest reasons why I spend so much money on fragrances. But at the same time, when it takes me a while to come around like with seeing you review and mention a fragrance like Guerlain Ideal Edp several times and I wonder why and beat myself up for taking so long to get it. I finally got my bottle a couple of days ago. I know fragrances are a subjective but when it comes to your reviews, it’s always spot on. Salute.
Just put this on today to see how I like it. So far so good. Had my decant for a couple months, but I thought the cherry was too prominent at the time. Now that the weather has cooled down, it smells amazing today. Could be a combo of weather and maceration. Absolutely right in that it it gets better after smelling multiple times.

I just bought a bottle from News Parfums. They are a French website so it shouldn't ever be out of stock. Shipping was fairly cheap and it got here within 2 weeks in perfect condition. I would definitely try there if you can't find it anywhere else/
Was looking for a unique scent that stands out from the rest. Picked this up after seeing it in Paris. This is an amazing scent and I really like it. Only problem is the longevity. I feel it wears away after a couple hours. i generally spray my upper chest and both forearms. I might try doubling up and see how that goes. My batch was from September 2022.
Edp is my fav from the guerlain ideal line

I was actually at sephora today and i did test a lot of things, of course the l'homme ideals and man i have this and i still sprayed it, absolutely amazing.. so classy and sexy and warm, i absolutely love this fragrance, i do get great longevity from it too and find it versatile for cooler weather.

I’ve had it for several months now. Coincidentally. I wore it Sunday to work for our breakfast with Santa breakfast at the Pfister Hotel (my job) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I’m down to half a bottle now. But I have 2 bottles of the L’INTENSE Because I wanted to see was there a difference between the clear bottle and the black bottle but when I got the second bottle which was black when I ordered it was clear when I got it. 🤦🏽♂️🤷🏾♂️Lol anyway I love this Fragrance. When I wear it, I definitely have a different swag.

I got like 50 fragrances but this is definitely my number one! 😍 Also got the Intense version and the Cologne! Also very good! I bought this fragrance as a blind buy based on the reviews it received and it's notes, it was only a 50ml bottle that I got on a deal , but I'm not exactly sure about my thoughts on it, there's no doubt it's very unique and different, I did like it but I think I need to get myself another bottle to really make my mind up with it

Great video bro about fantastic 1 from gerlain l'homme line continuously last 3 days and today onwards this 1 my sotd. Smell extemely amazing but so poor in performance.
My favorite fragrance. Much better than then L'Intense. Not the strongest projection but not weak. Something for someone who's classy, low key, calm, cool and collected. A little playful but not too playful. A touch of mysteriousness. Sweet but not too sweet and still masculine. Would love to try smelling the Extreme to see how it compares.
I love that the EDP has some sweetness but not too much. Smells so good. I actually have the extreme but it's just not my style.

So after over a year of having owned both, I'd have to say that L'Intense has grown on me. It's darker, smokier, and less sweet. The chili pepper and leather are more pronounced with the almond and vanilla taking a bit of a backseat. Definitely underrated. However, I still prefer the edp though. There's just something about that cherry note and extra sweetness that's a bit more playful.

this is my favourite parfume. I just used it to watch this video and connect better lol. I am just curious what people think of it as I think it's the best parfume I've smelled ever.

The inside reads something to the effect of No Need To L’Homme Ideal Have Your Fragrance. Something like that. At least you know it’s not a fake. A fake would have nothing on that label. 😊 Great review!
In an earlier video, I recall you saying that you preferred the EDT to the EDP - does that still go? I'm debating which one to get since I still can't find the Extreme, and the EDT seems like it might be a bit more versatile.

Crazy you get this video today when im actually wearing this fragrance. Whats even crazier is that i got this fragrance for $28 as a tester from fragrancenet 2 yrs ago and wasnt much of a fan, it was after all the 2nd cold weather fragrance i had bought after just wearing freshies. Now i love it and so does my lady.
This is a straight up masterpiece 10/10 a true casanova fragrance.

I'm a big Guerlain fan (I don't share your dislike of Habit Rouge EDP, but I totally understand it, very subjective experience) so I had high hopes for Ideal EDP. First sprays, I was disappointed. I think I was expecting something punchier. However, it just keeps wafting off your skin if sprayed on pulse points. It's a subtle background soundtrack to your day, but does make itself known. It lasts well too. The main thing is I find this smells kind of natural, it doesn't hit me with a load of artificial vibes like many. I've grown to love it as a rather sophisticated and classy composition. It's art, it's near niche. If you said it was only thing I was allowed to wear for a year, I wouldn't be sad. The mixture of slight sweet, but complexity too means I feel like it's pretty versatile. Very good value for money.

One of my all-time favourites, and I have smelled so many fragrances priced way above this one, I still think it is definitely in my Top 5 of all fragrances I've tried.
I really love how unique, classy, and gorgeous it is.
It is just incredible, with a great performance on my skin too.
I also love the entire L'Homme Ideal series, honestly. Every single one of them is at least very good to me, even the ones that are being considered as "meh" like the Ideal Sport.

Hey man I'm thinking about buying this and there's some available at local discounters in my country how can I tell if it's real since theres always complaints about authenticity over here(some shops have more some less but all have a little)
Shoppers drug mart still advertises the old bottle but I just got mine and it's the new bottle..I've heard its got less longevity and the same as the original. I can't compare to the old bottle but I find this pretty weak. I've tried the edt and it was pretty weak as well. For 155 bucks I expected more.
I bought this in full price and it smells different in a good way from the rest of my perfumes … it’s pure class but you need to be able to carry/front it properly and your dressing will help do the job as well cause it’s not a casual perfume

I just bought one from Fragrancenet but the label is different. I went to the Guerlain page and the label is the same that I received

@@autumnwind3853yeah it’s a complete different scent during the day or if the weather changes. I prefer it on the cold, but in the spring nights you really have to overspray or it will get quite sooner because the heat will extinguish the aldehydes.
I'm surprised nobody ever talks about the Shalimar connection with this scent. The bergamot is the same burning rubber note from Shalimar and the middle smells like part of it was directly lifted from Shalimar Parfum Initial. This is a fantastic, faceted scent. Can't believe they discontinued it

@@amierulrusmadi5544 I get about 6 hours performance and it sits pretty close to the skin. The smell is so good though that I kind of wear it for myself because I enjoy it more so than getting noticed / compliments. There’s way better out there in terms of projection and longevity but it smells amazing.

Wouldn’t call it one of a kind personally, smells quite similar to Dior homme intense except less exciting. Gurlain L’homme ETD however, absolutely amazing from start to finish.
Edp and Dior homme intense smell nothing alike.
same idea.. edp is very identical to Dior Homme Intense.. but less lipsticky.. which is better than Dior

As someone traveling to Dubai soon, I also loved your videos on Lattafa and other Middle Eastern brands - really excited about Sauvage Elixir and Y EDP clones!
I have a quick question though - do you know anything good on a budget that would resemble Prada L’homme and YSL L’homme EDT (not La Nuit!) sufficiently? Love both scents but the prices on these two office masterpieces keep rising while I’m only starting my work… Would really appreciate any leads 🙏🏻
P.S.: I’ve heard you say Ajmal Evoke Gold can get you close to Prada’s L’homme EDT, while Zara’s D Collection is somewhat resembling YSL’s L’homme EDT based on some Fragrantica discussions…never tried those but was lucky enough to get both originals around 50$ on great discounts in Duty Free stores.

I appreciate your reviews on this fragrance. But, I disagree respectfully. This fragrance does last that long. I have the new batch with the new bottle/lid and labels. I find that its last 2hrs MAX and that's spraying a lot. I really don't get the cherry vibe but the vanilla and almond I do. There are a couple of other channels that has the same opinion. Performance is a let down. If I do the whole Vaseline test then spray, maybe 3-4hrs. But overall, it is a nice fragrance. Keep making these great reviews buddy

i really liked the idea of this scent and it's marketing. At first i thought i liked it, but after testing for a couple of weeks, i have to say i don't like it. For me it smells like cherry chewing gum. it's definetly not for casual wearing, but for special occasions i like to wear other things. Its different and refreshing besides all the Mainstream designers, but its not my taste.

Beautiful scent. Blind bought a 100ml after doing my research. Sold out everywhere here in Sweden but I managed to find it at notino at a decent price.
Amazing job with your channel bro. One tip would be to include updated bottle designs. New ideal edp is a full glass bottle with a black cap. Not coloration on the sides. Dont know About reformulations but that’s the latest bottle on Guerlains site too. Was a little puzzled cause I was expecting the bottle design you have on here. I get about 6-8 hours out of mine. Last 2 hours is a faint skins scent. Strong silage but more of a close projection. Overall very satisfied.
