"I don't want to share my emotions on here". That broke my heart. I think I'm finally realizing how much pressure these poor girls went through, practically living on television with basically no privacy.
When I was in high school I just finished and I had a job my first sister school and dance I devopled anxitey disorder and mild deppression I had comptions once a month or showcase and I had practice on Tuesdays and I also danced along side my school's team sliverstars so I had very bad anxitey that I had to be prescribed four different medications to controls it and I have to have a support dog with me as well

Yep shes exhausted and stressed, sometimes the best thing you can do is step away if it's only negative. She just had too much in her plate, it was a smart decision if she knew the solo wasnt going to work out for her.
It’s sad to me that all the girls were aware of the fact that if they showed any emotion on camera, Lifetime would take advantage of that and harass them or twist the story.
Well they're 14/15/16 now. When they were 9 years old you don't know how TV works. Still I think these girls cry way too much. As Aisha said- you don't have excuses

Even to be 8,9,10 in an environment where a mistake means you’re yelled at, a praise means your yelled at, you’re made to feel that no one has your back, and that any feelings you have whether they be good or bad, is punishable; that’s traumatic. So no, I don’t think they cry too much. I think that have PTSD and are afraid of something they love to do because a vile woman hurt them. Maybe some choreographers have a tough love approach, but full on “bullying”? That’s not right.

MsJubjubbird Many things are cut from the show. These young girls were emotionally abused, manipulated, overworked, and even had to interact with known pedophiles at some points. They had to travel constantly just to dance with a sub par teacher and end up missing more opportunities outside the show.
abby really taught these kids to bottle up their emotions and never let them out, that’s why they have so many breakdowns. they’re not “crybabies” or “brats” they just need to let out so many bottled feelings.

That is literally so unrealistic. Nothing wrong with showing emotions but in a professional setting abby is right when she says you can't cry and have attitude and what not. Just goes to show no longer how long you are with someone the moment you leave them everything they taught you can go out the window. They do not respect this new dance teacher at all.

Abby is mean and used the kids to get to the mothers but the mothers were just as vile (except for nia's mom and maybe melissa). Imagine working for a professional studio and saying you don't think you're ready so you will be pulling out of something; you literally won't work for them again. This scene was so unrealistic and unfortunate because they ARE growing up and getting closer to entering the real world.

She does cry whenever things don't go her way. I think her mom is wealthy and buys her stuff to spoil her. I also thinks she feels a lot of pressure from her mom to keep dancing. I don't think she has anxiety. I just don't think she was raised to be tough. I mean her mom steps in whenever she s slightly upset and that's not teaching her how to handle things on her own.

The reason she has anxiety is because she’s being pressured to keep going in a sport she’s no longer passionate about but because it’s something she’s been doing for so long she can’t get out of it which is why she fails to show expression in her performances . This happens when you’re doing something for others and not yourself.
Literally me this year. I finally resigned from an activity that I’d been doing for 10 years because it was an incredibly toxic environment, and I didn’t love to do it anymore yet there was this pressure to stay and commit. I feel for these girls, I really do.
I really feel for Kendall. Sometimes there are moments where you don’t want to share your emotions. Also, I don’t know why the camera man would zoom in the Kendall’s face after she said that, it’s unprofessional and rude. Also, I felt bad for Chloe, I think she was very stressed. :(
The amount of stress these girls are going through is heartbreaking. They’ve been put through so much by Abby and now they’re struggling to try and prove they’re better off without her. I hope they did well. I never saw the episode so I wouldn’t know.
It’s honestly so frustrating how they completely ignore the fact that Kendall has anxiety. I was diagnosed with asthma at 5 and no matter how frequent my “attacks” were and how much I was they ignored the fact that I was misdiagnosed. It wasn’t till my teacher said something that they finally figured out I had anxiety and not asthma. So I know how she’s feeling and it’s so frustrating
Nesha Mitch That’s just your opinion. I think the shape of her face and the way she styles her hair reminds me of Ms D. No person is identical to the other, but there are similarities.
I am of Asian descent and I have heard many times that I look exactly like other Asian people. I am well aware of the racial bias attached to that and in no way am I trying to perpetuate that. But, as humans we do share characteristics that are similar to each other, a child has their mothers smile, or their fathers face shape. I am merely marveling how, in my opinion, they do bare a similarity based not solely in appearance, but also in their teaching styles and devotion to dance.
I think Aisha is one of the best things that happened to the girls. Laurieann had the right idea, but at some point the crazy moms broke her. Aisha gave it to them straight, that in the real world, nobody cares. It is sad, but people don’t care whether you have anxiety or stress or not; they only care about whether or not you can do the job well.
The producers & Aisha & moms should have realized that all this stress around Abby was building up to a horrible level. Then they were given this dance to do, which Kalani was excited about, and the others got excited and wanted to try it because they wanted to look more grown up, and then as the rehearsals progressed, they realized that it was really too much for them & too old for them, and Kendall & Chloe started having anxiety over it, especially since Abby was going to be watching. Someone should have stopped it and given them a week off at that point, or let them do a different kind of dance. They went out there and did it, but I think Chloe completely blocked it from her mind and just performed it. They had been trained all their lives not to say no to a dance teacher or choreographer. Chloe filmed a special episode a couple months after that and seemed like she was surprised at the moves, shocked even... that tells me she just steeled herself to get through it and blocked it out. The moms should have said no.
CucFan I understand, that isn’t wrong. When they are working jobs, if they say no or create a fuss with the producers, they will be replaced. Nobody will care about “their stress”, they will just find another girl. The entertainment industry is cutthroat. I think that was Aisha’s point. “There are no excuses in dance”. It was Christi’s decision to bring Chloe back, and Jill’s decision to stay on for a 7th season. I blame most of the mothers. It depends on whether your kid can handle it. Nia was able to handle it, and now she is on Broadway. Chloe and Kendall couldn’t, but since their mothers didn’t refuse, now they have anxiety and other things that they didn’t have when they started with Abby in Season 1.
I know exactly how Kendall feels. I have never been diagnosed with anxiety but I feel anxious like Kendall and can relate. I hate how it's so clear how stressed she is but her mom said she looks like she has an attitude.

I really feel for Kendall. Sometimes there are moments where you don’t want to share your emotions. Also, I don’t know why the camera man would zoom in the Kendall’s face after she said that, it’s unprofessional and rude.
Also, I felt bad for Chloe, I think she was very stressed. :(

The amount of stress these girls are going through is heartbreaking. They’ve been put through so much by Abby and now they’re struggling to try and prove they’re better off without her. I hope they did well. I never saw the episode so I wouldn’t know.

It’s honestly so frustrating how they completely ignore the fact that Kendall has anxiety. I was diagnosed with asthma at 5 and no matter how frequent my “attacks” were and how much I was they ignored the fact that I was misdiagnosed. It wasn’t till my teacher said something that they finally figured out I had anxiety and not asthma. So I know how she’s feeling and it’s so frustrating

I am of Asian descent and I have heard many times that I look exactly like other Asian people. I am well aware of the racial bias attached to that and in no way am I trying to perpetuate that. But, as humans we do share characteristics that are similar to each other, a child has their mothers smile, or their fathers face shape. I am merely marveling how, in my opinion, they do bare a similarity based not solely in appearance, but also in their teaching styles and devotion to dance.

I think Aisha is one of the best things that happened to the girls. Laurieann had the right idea, but at some point the crazy moms broke her. Aisha gave it to them straight, that in the real world, nobody cares. It is sad, but people don’t care whether you have anxiety or stress or not; they only care about whether or not you can do the job well.
The producers & Aisha & moms should have realized that all this stress around Abby was building up to a horrible level. Then they were given this dance to do, which Kalani was excited about, and the others got excited and wanted to try it because they wanted to look more grown up, and then as the rehearsals progressed, they realized that it was really too much for them & too old for them, and Kendall & Chloe started having anxiety over it, especially since Abby was going to be watching. Someone should have stopped it and given them a week off at that point, or let them do a different kind of dance. They went out there and did it, but I think Chloe completely blocked it from her mind and just performed it. They had been trained all their lives not to say no to a dance teacher or choreographer. Chloe filmed a special episode a couple months after that and seemed like she was surprised at the moves, shocked even... that tells me she just steeled herself to get through it and blocked it out. The moms should have said no.
CucFan I understand, that isn’t wrong. When they are working jobs, if they say no or create a fuss with the producers, they will be replaced. Nobody will care about “their stress”, they will just find another girl. The entertainment industry is cutthroat. I think that was Aisha’s point. “There are no excuses in dance”. It was Christi’s decision to bring Chloe back, and Jill’s decision to stay on for a 7th season. I blame most of the mothers. It depends on whether your kid can handle it. Nia was able to handle it, and now she is on Broadway. Chloe and Kendall couldn’t, but since their mothers didn’t refuse, now they have anxiety and other things that they didn’t have when they started with Abby in Season 1.

I know exactly how Kendall feels. I have never been diagnosed with anxiety but I feel anxious like Kendall and can relate. I hate how it's so clear how stressed she is but her mom said she looks like she has an attitude.

Kendall isn’t a “crybaby” she’s had numerous panic attacks on this show, even from when she was little!
I love how the camera crew forces the camera into their face when all they are asking for is personal space I feel bad but at the same time, I couldn't stop laughing.

Poor girls there drained and use to being yelled at when they show their emotions. Also Kendall said, “I don’t want to show my emotions on here!” Then she turns around so the camera isn’t facing her while she cries. Then the camera man zooms in. Can these ppl not tell the kids are drained?

I felt so bad for Chloe and Kendall.
These kids while the adults went about it wrongly treating them. They don't seem to understand the drive to want to win as they got older. Their passions have been killed. You can kinda see that older they get their passion is leaving them competitively
