Vali’s actually humble here compared to his Dub counterpart. In the dub, instead of saying “maybe he’s an even better dragon host than me” he flat out says “looks like I’m better at bringing out your dragon power than you are” 💀💀💀
Actually it wasn't stated in anime, but Issei balance breaker remove limiter on rule one Boost per 10 second so he could use it again and again (same goes for Vali and his Divide), but it's ofc drain his stamina a lot. Plus at this point of story he is still so weak that he not only couldn't activate true Balance Breaker, but even it's incomplete version (s1/s2 ep12). So he never use it when he is in his right mind.
The big reveal about Vali's origin! He is the great-grandson of former Lucifer. His father is Lucifer's grandson while his mother is a human. Due to his hybrid nature, he gets great powers from both as his devil side grants him the vast demonic power of Lucifer while his human half allowed him to obtain Divine Dividing, his Longinus. Ophis is so strong that she is considered the strongest being in the world, and there is a wide gap between her & the 2nd strongest person. Vali's unique existence makes his rivalry with Ise one-sided in his favour since even if Ise trains just as hard, Vali's base stats are just that much higher. Ise was able to exploit the imperfections of the Sacred Gear system that appeared after God's death to combine Albion's jewel & gain his power, much like how Kiba created Holy Demonic Sword. But that cut down his lifespan by a great amount. After the battle, Azazel forbids Ise from trying to use Vali's power since it would further reduce his lifespan. Ise was able to multiboost so many times because of his sheer fury with empowered his Sacred Gear.
Naturally the Boosted Gear and Dividing Gear take effect every 10 seconds, but if your willpower is strong enough, you can ignore that. The power of the horni lets Issei go absolutely nuts with power spikes due to that. Most of his willpower comes from that anyway.
Why he can boost so many times? The sacred gear does as the wielder want to, if his will is strong enough. Its one of the best scenes of boost in the series.
Vali is just an antagonist really, his true goals aren't actually evil in nature. The Chaoes Brigade under Vali serve The Choas Dragon which is one of 2 Dragon God's. The 2 Dragon Emporers are just under the 2 Dragon God's in power. So Vali is an emperor serving a God. Technically all four of the great Great Dragons are neutral. Neither good or evil in nature. There is a true Great Evil in existence. . . . . . . . . . . . Issie eventually gains the power of both of Dragon Gods on of the power of both Dragon Emporers. Issie is on track to become a new God himself. All for the sake of his lust, l o l
You already spoiled a lot of stuffs so whatever, while most of what you said are true regarding vali and the nature of dragons in general. The dragon emperors being only under the dragon gods in power is true to some extent(excluding the evil dragons who are stated multiple times to be on par with the heavenly dragons) that only applies among dragon race. There are a lot of gods that are above them easily not to mention 2 of the super devils, sirzechs and ajuka.
season 3, definitely watching (albeit this season isnt as canon as it should be , most events are still relevant and also the reason why its a disparaged season. but imo good op and still mostly intact story). We watchers will talk more about the changes that will lead to season 4 at the end . Until then Cya next season
