Motorhome External 12v Power Sockets 🙂

  • This video explains how to add power sockets to the outside of your moho. They are really handy for powering tyre compressors, water pumps, lilo inflators, inspection lights, cooling units (up to 10a) etc etc.
    It is a relatively simple job and can make life on the road much easier. Allow 2 hrs for installing the kits.
    Ducato, Transit, Mercedes - this works for all 👍

    That's another one I was thinking of doing :) It would make it easier to plug in my evaporative cooler for some comfort when sitting under the awning. Well done Ian.

      Thanks Rhys. The circuit is protected by a 10a fuse (EC400 unit) so bear this in mind with the loadings. My tyre inflator draws about 8a under load (60psi).

    Nice one Ian, will be looking into changing the one next to the water filler, never liked those 2 pin jobbies. Another great idea!

      Thanks Anthony. The original 2 pin was always an odd ball and the covers drop off after about 2 years! I never did understand why they didn't use a standard cig socket.
