In this Longplay/Walkthrough video, i'm playing and showing a thorough and detailed guide about how to complete the Sega Genesis version of Streets of Rage [USA] by playing as Axel Stone from the beginning to the very end on the Hardest difficulty setting.

Yeah I'm frickin amazed too. For the longest time, I couldn't get past level 5. This guy makes it look so easy.
Mona n Lisa are the easiest boss for me...I love tossing them in opposite sides

I always thought that this is how demos were supposed to look like- we used to always get a 4 year old playing into he demos.
Forget all other bosses. You showed mad skills just by fighting the damn twins without taking any damage!

Background:
Axel quits the Wood Oak City Police Department because he found out that the department is corrupted. Only a few police officers were not corrupted, other police officers like Adam Hunter and Blaze Fielding quit the police force as well. Axel and his 2 companions decided to take down the criminal organization called "The Syndicate" and take down the leader of the organization, Mr. X.
Events of SOR 2:
One year after the defeat of Mr. X, Axel left the city to run a martial arts dojo, and became a bodyguard, he got a call from Eddie "Skate" Hunter, Adam's younger brother, and told him that his brother Adam has been kidnapped by Mr. X, Axel along with Blaze, (who became a dance instructor) Max Thunder, a wrestler and Axel's friend, and Skate decided to rescue Adam and defeated Mr. X once again.
Events in SOR 3:
Axel (still running the martial arts dojo) got a call from Blaze (who is now a private investigator) that their friend The Chief of the Wood Oak City Police Department has been kidnapped, the Syndicate framed Axel, and Police Department thought Axel is the kidnapper, but the person who kidnapped the chief is the fake Axel, in other words a robot. Axel and his companions (Blaze, Skate and former member of the Syndicate Zan Gilbert) rescued the Chief of Police and put an end of Mr. X once and for all.
Events of SOR 4:
After the fall of Mr. X, Axel retired from the police force and left the city, deciding to live a simple life in isolation and spend his days training and studying. However, he immediately returns to the city when Blaze calls for his help to take down the new Syndicate, run by Mr. Y and Miss Y (Mr. X's children).

Oooh... Those Martial Arts Sisters were/are so hard to deal with. Constantly evading, jumping and grabbing you then slamming you down, the moment you try landing in a single punch. The only way I got a couple of hits in, was by NOT jumping and walking all over the place, in hopes of ending up at the right place, at the right time to get some hits in. Trying to take advantage of a certain exploit, thus frame trapping them, giving me the chance to deal some REAL damage. Frustrating, challenging but also fun at the same time, as the nostalgia sinks in. 💯
@@spaghettisamurai yeah I agree. It is extremely vexing to be constantly thrown around like a fucking frisbee. But I eventually beat the game. I lost count how many times I've beaten the game since then.

If you get thrown (at 29:31 mark for example) press and hold "Up + C" in air to safely land on your feet and take no damage. A lot of Players know this "Landing Trick".

Good execution, but not the hardest one, I used to kill the seco nd player in hardest mode at the first stage, so there will be double enemies, including double bosses. Thats a true challenge!
I just tried this game after playing it a couple of decades ago. I wasn't even playing on any harder difficulty and played Bare Knuckle. Any difference with difficulty between versions or is it just me? Genuinely perplexed.

As far as I know, the difficulty setting on both Japanese and Western Versions of Streets of Rage is the same.
