Eh I think you might be just a biased Kurt fan, this has a very different vibe and emotion to it altogether that isn't the same as when the lyrics were written. While a Kurt interpretation of the song is interesting (and I do think this version is faithful to how Kurt would have done the song), I'm glad this version exists as a separate entity to the original. There's something so haunting about the original release that I don't think anyone would have ever even wondered how Kurt would have done the song had the original not been just so striking. Despite being a very simple song instrumentally, the vocals on the original release of the song somehow simultaneously convey optimism and melancholia at the same time, a rare feat that even the most accomplished vocalists would have trouble faking. It's the raw emotion, captured as it was felt, that has driven the song to be such a cult favorite amongst the listeners over the years. Both versions have their own value, and it wasn't originally a Nirvana song for good reasons.

Idk I’m not really sold…. Just my opinion but it just seems like the AI used a crude imitation of how Kurt’s voice sounds in other songs with zero consideration for the way he would approach singing this song which I feel would be with much more delicacy in his attack. Just because it imitates the cracking in his voice and other unique qualities he had doesn’t make it believable for me. At this stage of the game AI can’t cut the mustard as far as replicating singers that have passed on in my opinion, something im thankful for actually!
Disagree. I think your correct on the AI being able to replicate singers 100% yet but it will get there...I have heard on the other hand rap songs done as in what if Biggie rapped this instead of Tupac or vice versa etc etc and some of the stuff is down right eerie
