When it comes to the story of the next game. I'd like to see Rockstar take this "Bonnie and Clyde" story by making both protagonists these likable bank robbers, with a genuine and healthy relationship despite what they do for work. In comparison, all the craziness of other NPCs and the world make it so that this couple is probably the most sane of anybody around them. That's the only way I could see the Rockstar style of satire working. Subvert the expectations of what would realistically happen to a couple of bank robbers like this. I also think it would be funny for GTA, of all things, having a prime example of a healthy relationship.
The healthy relationship would be crazy for a GTA title but to your other point that was kinda GTA5 like the protags were unhinged but were consistently unhinged just making it through 'a fucked up world' of characters that orbited the characters but were never quite consistent

To be honest, if they came out and said this is going to be another 10 year game. And brought in some great innovation in the single player, I wouldnt mind paying $80 or a bit more.

I absolutely hate that the precedent that this may set, but I actually do agree that gta is one of those games that is "worth" more than $60. There's not many more games that I've put more hours in than gta 5. The original mw2, skyrim, and mass effect 2 are probably the only ones that I have put more hours into. If the story mode is anything close to gta 4, gta 5, rdr 1, or rdr 2, I'd be fine with paying more for the game unfortunately. Rockstar titles are one of very few companies that put the time and effort in, to warrant the higher cost that new titles are asking for. BG3 would be another imo. I haven't paid sticker price for any AAA release in the better part of the last decade, and anyone who does in this market these days is a sucker that deserves to lose their money at this point, with all we know. The only reason it bothers me is there appears to be *enough suckers to sustain the entire market*. I weep for the future of humanity.
Let’s hope they just charge double price for early access? People would pay the Idiot Tax, while us adults are happy to pass on the grasping to them while we adults wait for the reviews.
We want psvr 2 option like no man’s sky. And tighter controls closer to something like PUBG. That would mean they gotta get rid of auto aim, please! For the love of god tighten up your shooting aspect. Then the shooting parts would feel amazing and competition side games become way more playable like death matches and or the best battle royal ever made. Fix your side games! Gta v should’ve just copied hot shots golf. That could’ve been a giant side game but it ended up being a wasted opportunity. Even tennis. They could’ve just copied and pasted Mario tennis. What an easy game to make within their game. Lastly fix your menu game select screen please! Sometimes we want to race. Make it easier to get into these rooms so we can just race or sometimes we just want to shoot each other. Group these into separate rooms. Do not mix and match this stuff. What kind of awful design/decision was that? Sometimes I want to race and when I’m done and selecting the next mini game there are no race options. What the hell is that? Group them together man! It’s way too sloppy.
Rockstar will do what they did with RDR 2, lock single player heist behind ultimate edition have pre order bonuses for single player and online. So get ready for the Shark cards people
GTA has brought years and years of gaming, and enjoyable gaming, to players. Even at $80 with $20 for online or DLC is well worth it. But that's just me. The cost of games has not gone up or even caught up with the cost of development.
Was red dead online fun tho law dawgg??? I could not get into it like I did GTA online, if only they added hiests. I fell off really quickly even tho I wanted to get into it. GTA online just sucks you in so much faster and there's so much more to do.
I dont mind mtx so long as its all cosmetic and cars/guns are always tuned for balancing. Otherwise it should be $70 for singleplayer + base online access. If $80 it certainly shoudnt require extra for online. Paying PS+ for one/maybe two games is annoying enough
I think it would be foolish of them to charge people to even get into GTO. They'd be better off going the Club Penguin where they charge you monthly to be a member and that allows you to experience the premium part of the experience, which also sucks.
I think the game will be regular price. Like $60-70. I'd assume gta online 2 is included. Sharkcards remain. Gta+ remains as an option. I would of thought that it would be more profitable to make gta online 2 free to play. You'd get alot of more people buying shark cards and gta plus. Because if not people have to pay for online memberships like xbox live/core is the new name and psplus. I don't think they want there to be paywalls. Playing the game is a paywall since it takes forever to grind for good items. Mind you, you never had to pay for dlc/new content. You could grind and just buy the cool new car without ever paying real money again after buying the game one time. Would be interesting to see it do the same thing as halo multiplayer/warzone where you buy the Campaine but can play multiplayer for free. In the end they would make more money overall. There would be alot of whales which would also pressure normal people to spend some money to get better items.
I’d gladly pay $200 if i knew we would get single player dlc and if i knew they weren’t going to create filler missions for online like they did with GTAVO to incentivize shark card sales which just makes the game not fun at all and extremely tedious.
I don't care that Rockstar raise the prices of their games. What is worrying me is the fact that all other compagnies will charge the same price as rockstar to sell their shitty games. That is what bugging me about all this.
I purchased GT5 on the Xbox360 at launch and beat the game, then purchased on Xbox One and beat the game.Purchased 3rd time on PC physical copy from Walmart (returned claiming the game disc was defective since discovering the game disk was not needed to play the game)and beat the game.Purchased again on Steam when it was $15 on sale, didn't beat it yet :).

LOL at the location reveal being absolutely zero surprise at all, even before the leaks
I will be happy paying $80 for GTA VI if, the story is on RDR2 level and GTA online starts at level 1 for everyone, no carryover.
So glad I bought stock in TTW before RD2
How much do you wanna pay for private lobbies.
we this video feels like a Dejavu????
Prices so low you can buy it 3 times! (PS3-PS4-PS5)
I’d gladly pay $200 if i knew we would get single player dlc and if i knew they weren’t going to create filler missions for online like they did with GTAVO to incentivize shark card sales which just makes the game not fun at all and extremely tedious.
Oh NO!!! They've been speaking to Spool!!! 100 dollars for 100h😲😲😲😲😲
That’s absolutely ridiculous lol seriously $80!? Heck no way!!😳
I don't care that Rockstar raise the prices of their games.
Careful IG. Criticising shitty business practice = “entitlement” when dealing with Rockstar fans.
