As a radio person still working in the business, the art of Theater Of The Mind is best displayed by Jack Benny. I listen to these to review the basics. Esp when I have to write dialogue. Anybody in radio or now Podcasting would be wise to study these triggers:. 'What did he say to cause you to see a picture in your mnd? Lesson two: NO FOUR LETTER WORDS. Today's young media people would be great if they stayed away from bad language. You will get a bigger audience.
Great programs when I first heard them in the day with my Pappy. Better when I listened to the with my son. Best..when me...my son...and his son listened to them. Magical Moments...Magical Memories.
@@erichwise9936 Unlikely. Why do it at end anyway. I watched Benny from when he first aired on TV and he was always announced as “The Jack Benny Program”. The graphic in the TH-cam icon would be something added by a producer of a rerun who came up in TV rather than radio, where the term “program” originated.
What about A couples compostit like Murder and the murdocks (Mother and daughter) Nero wolfe( nero and Archie) The thin man (Nick and Nora) or Mr and Mrs North, 📻 Dragnet (Friday and his buddy) like that... ? M. Elgin.
Cry babies today couldn't take this humor it might offend somebody God forbid. People can get offended if somebody on the other side of town drops their head on the sidewalk the wrong way it's a kind of world we live in now
The world now is just negativity, death, hate, crimes, vape, those idiot rappers that rap about their "problems" but really its like guns, money, and drugs. The world we live in now sucks. I wish I was around during Jack's time. I couldn't experience a play that has actual comedy. Rappers suck. The only good rapper I know is NF. NF has actual problems. Every other rapper SUCKS. Jack Benny and the 3 stoges are the BEST comedians.
Ah, the great Mr. Benny and Company
Thanks for sharing your collection
Their won’t be comedians like Jack Benny again
I love him! ty! Please join us as well on our new live channel Hearth & Home Nostalgia:)

Thank you for posting this, awesome humor.
The second show is a good example of figuring out the year it was broadcast based on the music and topical jokes. Thank you.

'So round, so firm, so fully packed.'
Been a few decades since these ears heard that..
So round. So firm. So fully packed: My old dog. M

That was a commercial description for a brand of breakfast sausage.
It was never the Jack Benny “Show” even after Benny went on TV. It was always “The Jack Benny Program”!
There were a couple of the live TV shows that showed a "The Jack Benny Show" slide, usually at the end.

Just wish it was 3 hours 51 minutes and 12 seconds of episodes you watch.
