‘The thing that should not be’ sounds absolutely epic in this concert....they all do, granted, but that one in my opinion is truly epic! They take the original heavy ness to another level. And the orchestra adds to it dramatically 🤟

Metallica - No Leaf Clover Lyrics (from genius . com)
And it feels right this time
On this crash course with the big time
Pay no mind to the distant thunder
New day fills his head with wonder, boy
Says it feels right this time
Turned it around and found the right line
Good day to be alive, Sir
Good day to be alive, he said
    [Chorus]
Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel
Is just a freight train coming your way
Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel
Is just the freight train coming your way
    [Verse 2]
Doesn't it feel right like this
All the pieces fall to his wish
Sucker for that quick reward boy
Sucker for that quick reward they said
    [Chorus]
Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel
Is just a freight train coming your way
Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel
Is just the freight train coming your way
    It's coming your way
    It's coming your way
    [Guitar Solo]
    [Chorus]
Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel
Is just a freight train coming your way
Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel
Is just the freight train coming your way

Don’t mind those “fans” that are unable to see any kind of change and immediately reject it. Good music, is good music, and as any art is subjective to the perspective of any individual, so never tell anyone what’s good and what’s bad, each person makes that choice. I love old and new Metallica, my favorite band ever.

    • @peeweekitt

No one in metal has changed more than Opeth from their first album to their most recent and I love them all. Great bands change throughout their career and evolve. We "fans" just don't think Metallica produced music worth listening to after Justice.

    • @DannyRobalino
      @DannyRobalino 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I think that #1 albums in a row speak lots to the appeal of their music. But again, music is subjective. I think their first 5 are masterpieces from top to bottom, and the next have lots of awesome songs and some not as epic, but it doesn’t mean is. It worth listening. Everyone has their opinions, and that’s the way is going to be. I still enjoy all of their discography.

    • @peeweekitt

@@peeweekitt *We "fans" just don't think Metallica produced music worth listening to after Justice*
sad that you "fans" are only stuck to one genre of music
you use Opeth as an example because they didnt go to a "sellout/normie genre" like rock but im sure if they did you cry SELLOUT as well
and it's good that you put "fans" in quotations since its you are barely fans of metallica, just fans of Edgy music.
      *They became predictable*
ell me in 1996 that you predicted they would make Death magnetic and Hardwired after Load and St. Anger? I guess you have some kind future telling powers to predict that change.
      don't kid yourself buddy.
      *lacked the raw emotion*

S&M is such a great album. It's one of my favorite Metallica albums and one of my favorite albums of all time. The contrast between the metal and symphony music is just absolutely beautiful. It's worth a listen or a watch from start to finish. The rendition of Master of Puppets and Battery they do are absolutely phenomenal in this album/show.

MetallicA was one of many bands that did a symphony type album, but NO OTHER band could come close to the magic MetallicA made with this one. And Vin is correct about how MetallicA evolved the best of any other bands, and that is why I have loved MetallicA since the day I started listening to them when I was 8, I'm 40 now and I still love this band, thanks for reacting to this one.

I was into SAVATAGE and to some extent NIGHTWISH when they were developing the Symphonic Sound. I was at this show in Berkeley with a friend of mine. The deep emotions flowing through the audience as these songs came together with the orchestra was incredible. It could have set a record for Goosebumps if the fans stood still long enough to be counted... this song being heard for the first time that night had hardcore METALLICA fans (like my friend) sobbing. Thank you for the Review. It brought me back, bigtime.

Nice to see you open your mind man. Just because it wasn’t a thrash metal album doesn’t mean it’s bad. If you appreciate music in general then you won’t follow the crowd. Talent is talent. Hopefully those who didn’t like some of their ‘90’s music will go back and re-evaluate now that they have grown up.

Just a calm laid back song. Well played. No chills down my spine. But the solo fitted well with the classical instruments on the background. Allegaeon - Grey matter mechanics or The Black Dahlia Murder - Nightbringers.

The idea that a rock band performs live with a complete orchestra is a bold and creative one.
The S&M album gets much hate from many fans, but it is a very good one.
The Call of Ktulu version from S&M is not less epic than the RTL version, I strongly recommend you react to it. This one got won a grammy award back then.

God damnit S&M is good. I firmly believe this era was when Metallica were at their creative peak and when they were performing at their best. The old stuff is obviously great, the new stuff is good, and the band still puts on a fantastic show, but the Load/ReLoad/S&M era in the mid to late 90's was when they seemed to be most at home with their sound and sorry Rob, you rock, but Jason brought something to the stage that you just can't. Hands down the best live album of all time.
