I thought I’d watched every XL600 build series. So stoked I just found yours. I’m rebuilding an 83 right now myself. I’d love to see some close up shots of the electrical connections : blinkers and all lighting
This XL's are still the most iconic bikes in this class.....in the 80's behind the wall, I always wants to own one, but I was aware that this must remain a dream.....after the fall of the wall, I bought the KLR600 for a good price, it was for sale not far from where I was working... that was now 30 years ago and it is still functional and with a license plate in my basement.....
clean engine, clean mounts, bolts in a dirty frame...... 🙃 replacing the oil filter. I did that in the 70's with my CB 350/2, but after 10 kilometers the engine got stuck. Now I see you do this it all comes back and I will not sleep tonight. ( did I put the little hole in the cap in the right place???)
Ya I know I was thinking the same as I was putting it together but I have lots of other stuff to get done and there are only so many weekends. Yes I did line up the oil filter cap correctly.😉

Hey Carl- I wanted to ask if you have any suggestions what to do about a broken tab on a stator cover. The one that holds the clutch cable
