- 9-BALL - USA’s SHANE VAN BOENING and Philippine’s ROBERTO GOMEZ were opponents in the 2015 U.S. Open 9-Ball Championships. Van Boening, 32, won this event for the last three years. Gomez, 37, has been making a name for himself internationally with very high finishes.
Pat Fleming and Bill Hendrixson were in the booth.

Great match, but really hope this was Bill's first and last time gurgling into the microphone and saying really insightful things like "Wow, Shane is a good player." Hard to listen to that guy...
The guy snorting into the mic makes it so bad I almost had to mute the sound to watch this video. Where do you find these guys Pat, and can you not tell the guy to stop the snorting into the mic.

@@kaisaarnio7208 According to Pat it was a result of an operation he had. Which is fine, and I hope the guy is doing ok. My only point is that it is annoying to listen to, and that Pat could have got someone else to do the commentary with him. That is my opinion, if you do not like it, to bad, so take a hike dork.
How is that Pat’s fault? Have a little respect for Fleming he’s done more than your brain could possibly comprehend for pool!

Another good match. Pat Fleming's commentary was a bonus. If possible, it would be cool to incorporate a real time audio chat to broaden the commentary during the match.

Shane and Efren...two best ever!! Here is why Shane shares the title of the best. Look at a SVB match. The commentators never see the path. They are pro players but they cant imagine what Shane will do because they are not capable. Shane is the hardest working pro in the game...period. Efren is the best Kicker ever. They are the two best of all time.
How is predicting what a player is going to do and where the cue ball should go insightful commentating? I don't know what else could be said but it's not that. I love it when the shooters don't comply and the commentators are a little embarrassed for making the wrong call.

The next best four players in my opinion are Ruiz, Kaci, Feller and Gorst. Jason Shaw is right there. Defensive game isn't on par with Ruiz or Kaci!! Shoots the best!

Shouldn't the ref remove the template at the earliest opportunity? SBV's kick at the two went across a corner of the template, and fouled.
Btw, in all the Philippines matches I've seen except the Shark games, no one uses jump cues.
It is not a foul for a ball whether it be the cue ball or any other to touch the template if it hasn’t been removed after the break
@MrTimmyc77 : I was talking about the rack affecting roll of the ball. SVB should have removed the template. Both times where his cue ball went across it to kick at a ball it went slightly off course.

Yakitty Yak banter makes me laugh.. *seems to be that leaving the accu-rack sitting around the 9-ball is getting to be kind of a game of chicken; both get to leave the table a little screwed up until someone Needs to remove it. Notice how the cueball rolled away from the side pocket at 1:12:49 ? This is due to glue on the top of the slate at the side pocket. That ball should have fallen in the side pocket instead of rolling away from it.
