    I have been watching hours upon hours of TH-cam videos on this. I was losing hope as I'm new to lasers. Frank and this video has given me hope. You explained more than any of the other videos I have seen in the past week. I even looked into classes in person and online for help. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job explaining this program. I hope you have more for me to learn. Bless you!

I should do a combined laser and wood turning video 🤔. Dont know how that would work, but I'm sure I could think of something 😁. Thanks for watching Roy 😁👍

    Thanks Frank I just put together my ortur laser today very similar to yours. I haven't switched it on yet or down loaded the software yet. The software worries me the most and I think you have saved me probably an hour trying to find things to start with. . Your video came out just at the right time .I hope to see more of them if you are able I know the filming and editing take a fair bit of time so a big thank you. Steve Australia

    • @frankslittleworkshop
      @frankslittleworkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      😃 Thanks Steve. I was originally going to get the Ortur but ended going for the Sculpfun S9 because of the actual laser. I had some issues initially installing the software but thats because my laptop is a bit out of date. But the actual software install was easy. I did install the free trial software but it expired before I got a chance to use it. My suggestion would be to just go for it. Once you get burning the software will all make sense. Good luck Steve and thanks for watching 😁👍

    Great video, New sub, I have the YoraHome 6550 and no one says anything about moving the laser to the originating corner. That would be important I would think. New to lasers myself and this video was very helpful. I have been binge watching some of your other videos. Great content. nice to see time spent on detail.

      😁 Thanks so much for your sub "Darth" 😁. I haven't used my laser much yet to become proficient at it. I need to use it on the little project I'm currently working on, so hopefully I will learn some more (every day is a school day 😁). Thanks again for your support 😁👍

    It is possible to install router motor on Z to replace laser head ?

    • @frankslittleworkshop
      @frankslittleworkshop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi 😁. I guess it is possible but I wouldn't advise it. The frame is not designed for the additional weight and load that it will be subjected to. In addition there is no Z axis mechanism to move the router up and down. In short, its not a good idea to fit a router. You will need a dedicated CNC machine for that. Thanks for watching 😁 👍

    Ok I have a question for you.
    If you haven't ever used the Lazer how did you learn so much about the burn software. You seems to know the software rather well so my question is can you or have you been able to play with the software with out the Lazer.
    I'm hoping this is what you did because that is what I would like to do. It just seems other video's I have watched always has the Lazer right there.
    And by the way you have a great video and have it in my watch later file so I can keep going back to it.
    Thank you very much for the great video.

    • @frankslittleworkshop
      @frankslittleworkshop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      😁Hi @sigh_of_the_times. The Lightburn software can be used (to practice or create designs) without a laser attached. But it is a paid software so some investment is needed to get the software. I basically spent a ridiculous amount of time on TH-cam seeing how it worked before I invested in buying it. I had the advantage that I have used CNC software before so a lot of the terms and functions are common between CNC and laser engraving. But again I learned most of my CNC ability from watching videos. The best way to learn is to have a specific task in mind (e.g. how do I convert a picture in to a vector so the laser can read it properly). Then investigate that task on TH-cam. And I can garentee you will learn other tips on the way. I hope this helps in some way. But if you have a specific question I would be happy to help if I can. You can DM me on Instagram if that is better for you. Thanks for watching 😁 👍

    Well done Frank. Instead of moving the board, you could have just copied & pasted the text to a different position & then deleted the original text. Speed always takes precedence over power. But with enough practice & tweaking, you're gonna do well. Keep it up. G

    • @frankslittleworkshop
      @frankslittleworkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      😁 Thanks Gary. Looks like it won't take much to get used to the text editing. Thanks for the tip (speed over power). I'm reluctant to wack the power up in the hopes it will increase the life of the laser head. Hope to do more laser vids soon. Thanks again Gary 😁👍
