Great stuff Bobby! The ease with which new people come aboard and, within minutes (it seems) fit right in and become comfortable is a testament to just what nice people you, and Taylor, are. Well done!
Sad about Josefin hope she is ok now. Beautiful video and by far best season so far!!! You look so relaxed Bob and Taylor is the best mate for your adventures. Go on guys, keep the best work coming!!!!
Wow now this is brave!! It’s much more like the cruisers my Dad’s Cousin and his dad (my Grandad’s brother,) used to sail around Burnham On Crouch in England 🏴 UK. This is a bit more relatable to me , though we never really did any proper ocean going sailing. It was always extremely cool though and a great treat. (RIP Uncle Peter, RIP Uncle John. )
Driving in DR is frickin' crazy! Gives a whole new meaning to the word "wedgie". You literally wedge yourself into any available space in between the other vehicles on the roadway. Amazingly, no one gets pissed and no there's beef. Very laid back where driving is concerned.
I couldn't make it without a pit onboard! Nothing like good cold beer with BBQ or some wine and grilled fish lobster caimari or crab! Be nice to have small countertop auqaponics garden for fresh leafy greens green onion and herbs. Great scenery and Happy travels!
Not only don’t drink the water in DR, but also watch out for things like salads washed in local water. That one got me a few years back in Puerto Plata. Some of the best beaches in the world in DR. My wife of 31 years is from there. Beautiful people.
An entertaining and lively episode, well edited. A nice marina in Samana there. But really, that was so much background - with Taylor in the view. What stunning beauty! With that lovely accent, smile and articulateness. Just jaw dropping: 13:16. 14:15. 14:44. And her new channel reflects her charisma.
Taylor never gets seasick...so when she paused after saying " as it turns out..." My heart stopped. I thought she was gonna say... " I'm preg..." Turns out it was just the water! Hahaha..My bad! .This is what isolation does to people back here in Calgary. We are in desperate need for anything exciting. Bobby you should make more prank videos bro! The catfight was a good one 😁
It's amazing that the Windlass worked at all. You must have had a massive Voltage Drop at the Solenoid with that much rust. I hope you re-terminated the ends of the cables with new lugs as well.. Great Video.
@@Sailingdoodles All connections must be super clean and tight . Protect with Vaseline. Remember, Voltage and Current are inversely Proportional. So, if Volts down, Amps up to compensate = Burnt out equipment.
We went there on a cruise a couple of years ago and everyone in the group who drank the water was sick for days. Those of us who stuck to bottled adult beverages didn't have any problems.
Y That's a starter solenoid, made for short bursts. It'll probably burn out fairly quick. You need a continuous duty solenoid, like the one you're replacing. It'll last so much longer.
Interesting dynamics with the new folks. I know they have been and gone by now will be interested to see how they fit in. You guys are great hosts but having looked at their channel they opposite end of spectrum. Great vid quality and editing is sweet.
Bobby you needed a continuous duty solenoid not a regular solenoid. Continuous duty the power flow is more constant. Your new one may crap out in time. Enjoying the videos as always!!
Bobby, try using a solenoid made for a snow plow pump. The ones for a starter are for more instantaneous power, whereas the plow rated unit holds up to continuous duty.
Bobby you know all of the knows by far. The engineering on that boat looks like a perfection of thought. And beautiful carpentry all over. Getting ideas on how to do my boat. If I can trade the stocks well..........then the well won't be too deep for clean water.
You don’t need a stern thruster you just need to practice using the prop walk to your advantage. I had a Hans Christian 13 ton full keel and I could turn her around in her own length plus two meters. I recommend taking her out into a small channel with marks to gauge yourself and practicing spinning the boat. Then practice backing. The trick with backing is to just realize you steer with prop walk until you get stern way. In other words you can only turn one direction until you get way on. Just do it all slowly and you’ll get the feel for it. I also had a slip most of the eight years I had the boat with a crosswind in the SF Bay currents. It can be done. I did spend three days three hours each day just practicing maneuvering in tight quarters when I first got the boat. There were times I would come into a marina and playing the wind and current bystanders swore I had a bow thruster I didn’t have.
Yeah this is a 31 ton boat... it doesn’t prop walk in reverse. I have tried. The beneteau 50 I sailed for a year would prop walk like a champ. This boat will not
Ha! That's just an old ford style starter relay. My CJ jeep uses the same one. In fact. My old Warn 8274 winch uses 4 of the same relays. Those relays are so ubiquitous.
For brief moment, I thought you were doing limerick there with "Taylor the sailor." Sounded like you were going to end it with something rhyming with "sick."
If the water has some organic matter in it, extra chlorine is required to provide free chlorine for disinfection effectiveness. I add and mix until there is an mild but obvious odor of chlorine at the faucet after each fill up. Then add a bit extra every week or so to keep thing from growing in the tank and lines.
A much better solution and then you have water at the faucet that is as good as bottle water you buy at the store. www.gonewiththewynns.com/product/water-purification
I can speak from experience about the water in the Dominican being sketchy to drink. I think a water maker is the way forward. As soon is this lock down is over, we're going to pick up one of the Rainman water makers, which I'm sure I thought I saw you guys use in the past?
Taylor’s by far the best crew member 🤩
Canadian ,the best but we apologize for our stupid PM Trudum
+Kerry You must a missed Megan, then Laura. Your loss.
@@whiteribbonman1 nah, Taylor is where the money is at. Fresh, young, low miles
Taylor is top of the crew member chain!
Taylor brings a lot of balance to the boat, such a sweet heart.
Canadian all the way
OMG Taylor looks even more beautiful without her full makeup !!!

Graeme and Theodora are so likable. Wouldn't have known anything about them without this collab. I have now subbed to their channel too.

Ahh, I really liked Josefin. Hope to see her soon sailing again.
such a cool adventure ,binge watching catching up.

Josefin #ROCKS Great addition to the crew. Respect
Thanks for some of those shots, Bobby! Taylor good modeling this episode.
Love watching the channel. Looking forward to your new passengers. Safe travels to you all.
I love that CT 56 . Such a pretty boat
I really like your boat Bobby. I feel you made a good choice. 🏴☠️
The wood work they did on the boat during your bad time looks great. Tell them I said thank you.

I have been enjoying the videos Graeme and Theodora have been producing and posting on their channel of their sail on the Nauti-Dogs.
Yes, I would agree Taylor is beautiful! Thanks Bobby for allowing her to be with you.
Wayne McPhail Yeah! Thanks for giving her permission to increase your subscriptions by leaps and bounds! :-)
Bobby, you are one cool dude. Way to go..could you ever imagine. Keep rolling
Such a beautiful boat. I just love all the wood work inside.

Nice episode. Coat that solenoid with whatever you have to protect it from the moisture in the chain locker. It will last longer.

Nice video, good shots and balance. Keep up the good works.
Bobby, great videos! I am still catching up. Also, watching your subscribers grow!
What a cool life...one year and I will be there
Hi you are liveing my dream great boat great wether and great ladies

Your ship is too much. That cabin area is just gorgeous. 😎👍❤️

How would like to sleep in there❗️ 🤣 So funny❗️
Awesome stuff as always! I really like seeing the videos from both points of view :)

Great stuff Bobby and crew
Taylor is amazing. Josefin was awesome too. But Taylor is amazing.
We stayed at the Bahia principe and sailed past there when it was first being built. It looked so beautiful! Looks amazing now

Shame you all got sick and Josephine had to leave however it’s a nice place
Man I love them Canadian puppies
Beautiful boat
You don’t need bottled water, you need a Seagull water filtration system. By far the best improvement I made to my boat!
We got one now!
Sailing Doodles Nice job. Game changer for sure, especially when living on the hook.
Other countries were already social distancing. USA was over a month behind.
Taylor may be too young for the back of a Volkswagen reference but I see what you did there Bobby!
Haha thanks!
She got it alright ! 😃
It's all for show and money donations. point!
🌹Love you all from lidia... 💝💝😘😘
Nice write up in the New York Times! Stay safe.
Most people would be so stressed out by what you get through in 20 minutes with a smile.
Englich from hollande this good baabe this couple super équipe very good trink bear
For your bright work. Try the sharkhide metal protectant. It lasts for a year.
Taylor looked amazing in that blue swim suit! Safe travels guy's!
You don’t need nice boobs to get on Bobbies boat but it definitely helps, keep up the good work it must be a real struggle.
Awesome Video! One of best yet
13:39, You don't get many of those to the Pound ;)

I discovered the water issue a few years ago while visiting a few years ago. Never drink the water from Dominica period!
You should try to get Kate and Nate , they are a travel channel here on you tube . They are young and very energetic and entertaining. Love colabs
Bobby check out the difference between starter solenoid and continuous use solenoid . You will be glad you did !!!
Could also have been nurovirus ( stomach flu ) that virus is super contagious wrecked havoc on the cruise ship industry years ago.
Never show any weakness Bobby LOL
