    Hi! I love your videos! They’re super helpful for a new cake decorator like me. I do have a question, will foil work to lay the sails on?

    The cake is amazing but the dyed fingers amused me! Been there, done that! We have to suffer for our art!

    Wonderful, I will try this soon. Can the sails be stored for any length of time, and how so? At room temperature? How about storing for a week? Thank you in advance!

    would it be easier to lightly spray the parchment paper to help release the rice paper once it has set up?

      I bet it would set on pretty low. I haven't tried though. I would be a little concerned about them shrinking would be the only thing. I would suggest a test run;) and then let me know!

    Thank you for sharing this!! Can I do the same thing with wafer paper? They don't sell rice paper here. 😒

      You could do something similar for sure! I am going to do a tutorial very soon using wafer paper, only a different design.

    Sorry but I do have quite a dumb question. Does the rice paper soften upon prolong contact on buttercream? If so, how much time does it take for the rice paper to succumb to the moisture?

    • @sophisticakesbymary
      @sophisticakesbymary  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not a dumb question at all;) a crusted buttercream should be fine. If you are still worried, you can brush cocoa butter onto the back side where it will be touching.
