Jack is by far the best on TH-cam doing this kind of reviews! For us boating people Jack touch on everything that’s important in a boat in every review! Very professional, nice to listen to and the videos are well made and you can tell that Jack genuinely likes boats and knows what to look for! Watch your videos from the first ones you did on Motorboat and yachting! Keep up the good work! The Sargo 45 is an absolutely magnificent boat and if you don’t need a fly I’d take this over a Targa 46 everyday.
That was a great tour, I have watched a few tours of this yacht and you are the only one that's shown almost everything on board, really nice well presented and informative. keep up the good work.
I found out about Sargo about 2 years ago, what is evident is the thought that they have put into things. The use of space is clever but so are the little touches too. Irrespective of boat size they go that extra mile to make it work brilliantly. Not a name everyone has heard of but the quality speaks for itself.
A boat doesn’t have to be big to function well, the simplest things are usually best. Have a look at the Dale Nelson 28, simple but effective. The location of the engines can have a major impact as that can free up what would have been the engine room can be used for storage or some utility space.
Thanks once again for the comprehensive review Jack.I have seen this boat reviewed on other channels but I love yours the most. Not to much unnecessary chitchat, just a great tour.
What a wonderful craft - Thanks for answering my only question of having or seakeeper - l am loving both the SARGO and TAGA - Time to find the NORE STAR Reviews
Love your work always Jack. FYI, in the USA? That steering knob on the wheel goes back to autos in the 1940's and became really popular in the 1950's and was known to one and all as...."A Necker's Knob" for the fact that it let you have one hand for the wheel and one for your honey! (smile)
3 relatively decent sized cabins and 2 heads (1 dry at that) for a boat that size is impressive. You can even take the seat that covers the way to the 3rd cabin out and keep it open so you have another accessible day head. That way, you can dedicate the other dry head to the masters.
Thanks for the good review. I have actually gone for a Targa 46, because the woodwork on Targa is much nicer and therefore the interior is that much more cosy. I think there is easily enough room for folding bikes and if you go for sterndrives in stead of IPS, you would actually have a massive amount of room there. Price for the Sargo or Targa would be the same.
So to lock someone in the mid ship cabin, you just need to sit on the seat! It is like the designer of that does not have kids and could not see the arguments arising from it! Really it is a very nice boat. A lot fit and hidden into those lonely space's!!! Excellent and Witty review! Keep up the good and entertaining work!
The only change I'd want is the oven moved in the galley, from under counter to above the counter, probably to the stern end of the galley, I’d gladly loose some of the counter space to have that, the table is close enough to serve double duty as extra prep space if its needed.
Decisions, decisions? Targa or Sargo? If I can ever afford one I will let you know which, fingers crossed. If only Targa and Sargo would give you one each to do an on water comparison at the same time. Dream on!
The black handrails are a mistake, they will be hot to the touch in the summer (especially when moored and moving around the boat) and the seagulls will definitely make their mark. White powder coating or SS is the best for handrails, thats what i had on my boat but the black does look good, just impractical.
@Yachtbuyer, Jack great looking boat and I love the design Do want to ask if you’re doing a review on the similar looking boat on the starboard bow? Silver and white with forward sloping screens? Many thanks Jono
One day someone will make a boat just like this for fishing. But with open deck. There are none. So family sunbathing at from catching blue sharks at the stern. Yet to see a hood mixed quality fishing boat.
I'd love one of these things, but it should be more oriented towards practical adventure exploration. There should be less focus on luxury and more on extended time off the grid, with room for six or so to fish, skin dive, spearfish, and go island camping.
Can the company that built this boat put in normal engine with a propeller instead of Volvo Penta engine because in my country (PNG) we don't use Volvo Penta engine. We mostly use Yamaha outboard motor.
I'm going to be boring, but it's important! how do you sit up in bed in the owners cabin and read a book? This is what I want to do, look at the owners cabin, it's impossible to do that unless you buy something thick and bulky to sit under that overhang. That is a design fault, I cannot believe it isn't being addressed. I love the boat but unless I have to make something that I put in place at bedtime to read and then take away when I want to sleep then it's nonsense! So I'm out!
As he mentioned at the beginning, black is just an option. You can still get stainless railing. I suppose heat isn't a problem in Finland, maybe it's even more comfortable with a bit warm railing on a chilly day.
Love your reviews, but they aren't 'nice'! I have to switch the sound off, due to the continuous and utterly superfluous use of the word 'nice' Do try listening to the recordings of your reviews, nice this and nice that, when there are many synonyms, and in most cases no qualification at all is needed.

i have watched every video on this boat and you are the first person to show the front step and flip it up. thumbs up!
This vs. the Targa 46 is a tough choice - luckily I’m too poor to have to make it. Great video!

I would choose the Sargo!
I cannot imagine how they found all that space below decks for the cabins and heads. It really gives the Targa 46 a challenge.

Superb tour Jack. This Sargo 45 is brilliant, some very clever design ideas have gone into this. And a big plus point, it’s good and practical.
Cheers Nick! - Jack
No contest, I'd take this one!!!!
Good to see you again! Stay critical where you can.
Totally agree...bloody fantastic vessel...i would love it.
Lovely boat from Sargo...Thanx Jack 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it
Great tour Mr Haines, I wish I was in the market as I love this yacht. For 45ft it offers so much.
Magnificent for Europe, US and Canada!
Great boat. Great video. Thank you.

Thanks Jack! A LOT of boat for 45 feet...😮
+ clever storage for the fenders, snuck behind the aft sofa.
Nice boat and superb tour.
Glad to find you! I’ve enjoyed your work for quite a while. Excellent video.
Thank you kindly! - Jack
Excellent, just started to watch another video of same boat and not very fluid , will have a look later , thanks , a boat I like the sound of
who ever built this is a craftsman who has been at sea with family and friends for extended periods. Lovely attention to details.
Wow! This is an awesome Boat!
Very nice to watch this review. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
How engine room is sealing from the top? Rain or accidentally any water? I see only rubber around the top. What about drainer inside of engine room?
A friend drew this boat! :) I remember him drawing these amazing boat designs when we were about 12.
That’s awesome!
Great review Jack 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
beautiful
Great boat. Sargo is very impressive.

whats better to get sterndrive or the ips for ocean going? and how do you know what upgrades to get the website isnt very thorough?
You missed the washing machine under the floor in front of access to the rear cabin

Love ❤️ it.
Hi Jack, you mentioned the Nord Star 49, does that mean you have a tour coming soon, also eagerly awaiting the vid you did of Prestige M48 😊.
We’re working on the Nord Star but have a tour of the M48 on the way soon. Keep your 👀 peeled!
Now this is amazing I would go for this over its rivals, it kicks the Targa 46 down the river.
Nah
For the same length are the prices for Dale or hardy higher than Sargo or Targa?
You missed the washer! 😁
Great review 👍☺️

You mention all the storage space. Is there room (maybe in the engine room) for folding bikes?
Yes, there would be 👍
Can't believe you missed the fender storage jack !!😢 😱
And the washing machine 😁
Perfect. :D
when do we get the nord star comparison Jack ?
Wonderfull, wondering how the flybridge version will look like. Is the Targa 46 more expensive than the Sargo 45?
Taking a like for like spec they are pretty comparable
@Yachtbuyer,
Jack great looking boat and I love the design
Do want to ask if you’re doing a review on the similar looking boat on the starboard bow? Silver and white with forward sloping screens?

The Nord-Star? It’s on the list.
@@Yachtbuyer Thanks Jack
Is this a new direction from MBY or have I just asked the unanswerable?😳😜😜😜😜
Nope, totally separate and not associated with MBY at all.
🔥🔥🔥👍
Personally i prefer the Targa 46, due to the fly bridge. As a matter of interest what is the Air Draft on this yacht
Hi Chris - there will be a future fly bridge version for sure. Air draft with the stainless arch folded down is 3.78 to the top of the radar
The cabins feel very claustrophobic!!!
Yes please
Good tour just need more engine room footage
I actually prefer this to the Targa 46
How much does the smallest boat you make cost?
how does this ride compare to the targa..?
See for yourself: th-cam.com/video/tkgRLsD1iXw/w-d-xo.html 😊
Verry nice boats❤Both, there are nice. I prefer, more big. More space. 49,sargo. 14,50 meters♥️. How much, it cost.?? Thanks. Have, a nice day. 👍😊
It’s about €950,000 ex VAT.

I am thinking this one is a keeper.
how 'bout draft?
Nice boat and nice video...just miss the price ...
It’s in the data at the start 👍

Volvo IPS or sterndrives are the only options on this model.

HOW MUCH IS THIS BOAT??
If it is in the 300-700k range I would rather have NORDHAVN used
It’s €950,000
It's much faster than a Nordhavn though.
Powder coating > exposed metal
We've got a Sargo from 2013 with the coating on the rails and cleats and it is still fine💪
l would love my knob on the wheel..................but i am not tall enough.
🫣
Looks like a carbon copy of the Targa? Or vice versa …
Still can’t get my head around the Volvos….In the USA I have heard horror stories regarding parts and service..
все у них хорошо, только время ожидания своей лодки на верфи - плохо. жаль что нет функции - приехал- увидел- купил- уплыл.
Too much for fiberglass. Especially without flybridge
looks like its made from cheap materials and iffy design
I really don't understand what possess these yacht companies to think black railings in the sun is a good idea....
Sun? They’re built in Finland* 😉
*you make a good point
As he mentioned at the beginning, black is just an option. You can still get stainless railing. I suppose heat isn't a problem in Finland, maybe it's even more comfortable with a bit warm railing on a chilly day.
No glare from the sun. It's worked for the RNLI for years.....most of their large lifeboats have black matt bow/forward rails
Lol. 1 million have a lot choice. That boat cannot sale 1 m. Only around 500k
They've sold several of them already.
