Luke and Laura do show up at Kelly's and bump into Rick. They give him the news. Luke makes plans with slick. Laura makes plans to tell her mother.

I thought he was going to say her safety. He would've had more leverage with that argument.
I'm glad Laura stood up to Rick. She spent way too long in her life trying to do what she thought others wanted and then having it blow up in her face.
I Love this! So Wonderful! the way Family Values are present, Especially how we Respected our Elders. Luke says Sir and the Nurses are kind and Respectful to each other, and what really matters the most the Nurses are kind and Respectful to their patients.

OMG, I love the kiss goodbye between Laura and Luke!! I remember what it was like when you couldn't possibly walk away fro each other without the kiss and I Love You's!!! This is a real walk down memory lane for me!! Thanks for posting!

Laura has grown up so much since last summer! I'm so proud of her for telling Rick and for saying it would be worth all the talk!
I read recently that when TG and GF came back to GH in the 90's as Luke and Laura they were given a certain amount of creative control in order to protect the legacy of L&L, and TG even had a producer fired bc of the direction he wanted to take the story in. So sad how times have changed :-/

Around the time of the parade they stayed up for 2 or 3 nights in a row,so much going on. Now after a night like that....Going home just to change clothes ,and off they go like a couple of Energizer Bunnies. Lol

LUKE, WAS RIGHT ABOUT HER MARRIAGE TO SCOTTY BOY, IF IT WAS SOLID IT WOULD'NT OF BROKE DOWN. SCOTTY DIDN'T TREAT HER LIKE A WOMEN, BUT LIKE HE WAS HER DADDY AND HER A CHILD. @dc8058 LOL.. well the truth is his is amazing entertainment.. everyone behind it put their hearts, souls, blood, sweat and tears into it.. they cared about the final product... so sorry we can't say that about a lot of what passes for entertainment these days... the people who produced this and TG and GF deserve all the credit in the world. It is fantastic television.. and deserves to be seen!!
Yes it most certainly dose this only proves that many fans Loved Luke and Laura together. All of over 30 million fans did and still do. Oh Luke andTracy I guess where funny. But there is no reality in any of there storylines now nonexistent fake and very forced. I see no family no happiness no love and no tenderness anywhere. JMHO. Thank Rosie
I loved Luke's statement that he would never cheat on his woman, Laura. That's why the rewrite adding Ethan made no sense. The later writers must not have ever watched these scenes and never really knew the real Luke and Laura.

That is why it is hard to believe that he would ever cheat on Laura.He never loved anyone like her no matter how they wrote the story.He loved her from the first moment he saw her!!!!He dropped everything anytime she needed him.They were so happy together.Their eyes literally shown when they looked at each other!!!

That was part of something else that was going on. I can't remember that was edited out a long time ago not part of Luke and Laura Story.

Yeah Rick and Laura had a great relationship back then.... it was really bizarre how they turned him all evil!!
And let Scott get by with killing Rick and letting Laura and Luke believe she did it! Between that and Helena Casadine, LNL were destroyed again!!!

Yeah, I thought the incident in the attic with Rick was a truly bizarre storyline and highly improbable. Sometimes it's like the writers are on a runaway train.
I know... and I believed him... didn't you... that Luke was MUCH more believeable than Luke 2008-09!!
Watching this over 30 years later as a parent, the whole meeting with Laura's father was not handled well. Instead of addressing Rick's comment that his main concern was that Laura be happy, Luke continued to be confrontational and so did Laura. This would not have ended as well in real life. As Laura's father, Rick had a right to be concerned (after all, Luke was a man in his early 30's and Laura was still only 19 years old) and Luke should have reassured Rick that he only wanted Laura's happiness as well and that he was dedicated to making sure that happened. He also should have apologized for getting Laura involved in the whole mess the previous summer. As two men who both Laura, they would have found common ground if this would have happened. Not impressed at all with the writing of this scene. It just wasn't well-thought out.
In real life they still would've tied the knot because the days of begging for parental approval has expired so if the parent doesn't like their choice as a mate then they'll have to live with their own thoughts.
Luke wasn't in his 30s. Tony may have been but not Luke. Luke was in his mid to late 20s.

I suppose the passage of time is the real reason. She was more valuable, yes then, in 1993. But times and regimes have come and gone. Very sad, but very true. :--(
The problem is nobody has faith that they will do what is right, needed, deserved by the audience... so everyone is afraid to be invested in current day events for this couple! I mean we get Genie Francis back and they rip her away 5 seconds later and leave the story in shambles... hard to put yourself out there to hope!
I dont understand why everyone hates luke now. I love him. he's the funniest character on GH and he's the only one with really cool lines. To me he seems like the super hero of port charles. I just wish Stefan would return so he would have a reason to be pissed off again

@@janetmyles8764 Well actually she did find that out and was going to marry Scotty anyway in 2013. Leslie jumped all over Scotty about killing her husband. And Laura blows it off telling her mother it was a misunderstanding. How is killing someone a misunderstanding exactly, I don't know?

Rick is a jerk. I don't like the way Laura told Luke "she doesn't want a confrontation" as if Luke is the one with the problem. Still love Laura though. :)

Let's face real truths the writers did not do there homeline story work! They helped kill GH for good. Next time read the FINE print maybe just maybe it would have turned out to be a great and better ending for us all. Thanks Rosie.

In my mind, Luke and Laura stay married and dedicated to one another, have children and grandchildren, and grow old together. I have seen a rare scene or two from the later years but I stopped watching after Laura disappeared. In fact that story was a bit far-fetched to me and I didn’t really watch it that closely. Long live Luke and Laura. 💙💗

Luke is not a cheater, he would break up first. He was written as honest. If his feelings changed enough that he wanted to be with someone else, he'd level with Laura.
