Going to try to find some good used tires or going new? Yep, when things are go go go and problems it takes priority... keep chuggin along! Speaking of rocks, lucky that only took out some knives! Could been worse. But I finally picked up my first rock, at least size of my fist. Came from a badger mound that I didn't see in some heavier crop; must have hit the bottom conditioner roll instead of falling out of the bottom trapdoor, and it rocketed a 100 MPH fastball forward and back out into the field... hope I can find it while raking. Have to check the roll yet but hope it didnt' take a pice of rubber with it.
I've been looking for a used set in that size for the 1594 since we got it and haven't been able to find anything, so they would have to be new I think. Even new seems a bit hard to come across unless you buy the cheapest of the cheap tires. A set of BKT's would be ideal but we'll see what happens. Luckily I've not had too many launched out of the mower, hopefully your rolls didn't take any damage $$$$. Heard plenty of stories about rocks breaking glass in the cab but I guess that would be one nice thing with the windrower, would really be an accomplishment to knock a window out on that lol
Broke part of the spindle on the front right and bent the front beam of the undercarriage. Then we jammed up the floor chain on one side unloading it and bent the idlers at the back of the wagon. All the parts to fix it are NLA so we will have to get creative to fix it.
If it’s not one thing, it’s two things. As they say.

Some years everything goes great, other years it’s a nonstop train wreck
You said it. Just have to take the good with the bad. The weather worked in our favour at least, we were quite pleased to have it done early.

What’s wrong with the other Gehl box?
