Hey! Thanks for your review. I'll try to answer some of your questions. First off, the blaster uses standard FTW flywheel cage geometry. Small wheels give a lot of extra torque which allows them to achieve rather high crush, which, however does kill some darts. In case you're wondering, I've used cut down Accufakes for testing. An integrated cage was the compromise I had to make to ensure that the blaster remains slim. I myself or the testers haven't had any heat or cage melting issues but if it becomes a problem, please contact me directly on TV and I might work out a fix. I'm planning to expand the wire channel in a future build and the Viper Heavy has more room for wires already if I recall correctly.
Secondly, in regards to the friction, it takes quite a bit of time to get it sanded down right. Took me 30 minutes to get it right the last time I did it. Though I do see that your extension spring could be cut down a bit for extra tension which should help the pusher return. The missing screw head slot on the left side is actually a bug where I originally had the switch elsewhere and after moving it I forgot to move the hole as well. That will be fixed. I'll update the main page with extra info as well. As for the switch screw I might just make a printable pin so that noone has to bother finding the screw of the right length.

P. S. Night Owls and original FTWs are actually the same in dimensions except that NO's lack the fillet.

Did you get readings for full lengths? Its hard to find aftermarket blasters that use fulls nowadays and the events I attend do not allow halfs.

I am looking forward to the community playing with this design a little bit and working out some of the little bugs. The concept is an awesome one, and I love those colors. I might just have to bid on that PAB. Great video!

Printed and I added vents to the bottom of nose to combat that heating problem, I have uploaded my edit as a remix.

It's not as bad as I thought it would be. That being said it's a little funky hitting the top lever with your thumb. Helps to have big hands.

I'd just really like to see a single action revolver, no flywheels firing some Stephens to make it a true revolver
Single action blasters have been made, but they are only good at close range.
@@mazon33 yeah I saw a guy on the nerf subreddit make a double action pistol (prime and fire all in one trigger pull) it fed mags great with no jams but the fps readings at their highest were around 40, definitely a close range blaster you only pull out in a pinch, nonetheless still awesome to see
I don't normally like 3d printed blasters but this one looks ok. The hot motor thing isn't good at all making this kind of useless but it looks neat. One of my points about the flaw of 3d printed blasters is exampled here precisely. They melt so easy. If this thing heats up like he states it's going to melt without much use at all let alone try and use this one a warm sunny day it's gone. That's sort of why paying a lot of money fir already assembled 3d printed blasters is not really worth it yet. You are limited when you can use it and if it's a primary the damn thing could melt while your in battle and don't most people want to use it warm nice weather when a lot of outdoor wars happen? It's just not worth it to buy any 3d printed blaster yet especially with the mark up being way over priced. I think with all the flaws with 3d printing the mark up should be super minimal since your blaster could melt the first time you use it even if you are careful. No offense to those selling 3d printed blasters but it's not worth it. I've seen how much things are overpriced. I mod myself and know how much things cost and most people don't have 3d printers at home. We are just not that far along with 3d printing yet that almost all 3d printed blasters should not be sold especially at the extreme mark up. Maybe when pla has a much higher temp melting point it may be worth it but when motor reving can heat it up super warm it's kind of shit. It's cool to see things like this as a personal only build it's just when I see many 3d blasters on Etsy or wherever being sold for a high mark up it's just not worth it until there is higher quality but for people thatmake personal builds that's neat to see but for distribution I don't know how people are knowing the product could fail so easy or if it gets bumped it could break and be useless and I know you have to take care of it but it's Nerf at you can't be expected to baby your blaster in battle. Once 3d prints are much stronger quality there will be a bigger market but as is even this blaster and most 3d printed blasters are shit quality. Mod a rapidstrike or stryfe or any flywheel. It will be way reliable and wont melt or bow in the sn. This may trigger some but if your really triggered you know what I said was true and your probably trying to sell things that you know are flawed
You know you can print in other stuff than pla right? Like abs? The material nerf blasters are made off? But yeah I admit having a pla blaster that warps in the car on your way to your war is kinda pointless 😂
I see your point about melting but unless you have the motors reving constantly or leave it baking in the sun, pla isnt a bad option. I use ofp cages on all my build and have never had a warp or melted cage.
Tell you what, go watch some of the EndWar footage from TK1138. He runs a FDL in both EndWars, and he don't baby them. He's just not stupid about how he uses and treats them. If you watch what you do with printed blasters, it shouldn't be a problem. Of course you could always do like Hawki007 and hand machine a Caliburn from metal....
You talk about people being triggered, but that seems like exactly what this long winded, poorly formatted comment is.
What type of lipo battery to power the flywheel? The grip compartment looks small to fit a 3s lipo.
Do you happen to know if any of the individual peices are larger than 6 inches?

What nerf needs to make is a magazine fed, lever action, pump action, bolt action, break action, shotgun, sniper, assault, gatling, revolver, carbine, grenade launcher, semi auto, full auto, single shot, 6000 attack and defense, fusion synchron, xyz, normal, effect monster card, limited edition, only 400 copies ever made, ultra rare, super rare, ultimate rare, gold rare, ghost rare, $700, super weapon.
No knock on you...it looks like finicky crap.
