Hiya Kane Great first hole 😮🎉 was the other thing a locket of sorts. Bloody massive musket ball, and the penknife. What a brilliant day You've had so far 👍👍 Woahhhhhh 👍 that coin is MAHOOOSIVE 😮 Well done to you both on a fantastic dig theres loads chase those Cartwheel penny's i think there ace 👍 Love love love the petrol cap Thanks for sharing Maria 🍀
@rudigginit 🤣 cheers maria it was a good day for both of us, just hope my mate gets on the silver soon as im hoovering it all up its normally him finding the silver and hammereds not me 😅
Well what a cracking session, fantastic hammered, and a stonking Charles 1st Shilling, what a permission that is mate, there must be loads more on that land. Deep HC all the way, crank that sensitivity up to 99 and see what other goodies you can find. All the best Wendy and Jon. 🙂🙂
some great coins. 😮 wherever you dug produced great items, unbelievable. 😅 imagine a pocket full of those Cartwheel coins? 😂 no wonder so many were lost, people simply threw them away to lighten the load!😫 I watched earlier sorry for late comment. 😊
It's fine. dont worry, and i know imagine 12 of them in your pocket i rather the small silver shilling instead 😅 but i suppose it was about a pint back in the day
Some nice hammered coins there. The XII really stands out on that Shilling! The Cartwheel coinage is from 1797, and then there's the 2d - TWO OUNCES of PURE Copper! I have a nice one in my collection.
Thanks and thanks for the info. I had a few of them 2d coins as well from there there about 10 years after the cartwheels arnt they, look nice when they come up in good condition
@@DuckDetects No, ALL the Cartwheels are dated 1797. They only lasted the one year, because of their weight, it made them very unpopular, so the issue was scrapped! I'm originally from the Isle of Man, and we had Cartwheel issues of the Penny dated 1798 and 1813. There wasn't a 2d. Also, the Isle of Man was the first to issue a Copper Penny with the Monarchs effigy (George III), in 1786, 11 years before the Cartwheels.
@michaellooney1089 i know all cartwheels are dated 1797 but i know there's another coin just as big dated 1807 i believe just as big as a cartwheel but slightly slimmer that came up as well as the 2 cartwheels
@michaelhedges7541 considering I've only ever had 3 hammered coins in the past, getting 2 in the same day is a big deal for myself im still fairly new to this hobby and finding things ive still not seen before so seeing the size and weight of a silver coin that old isn't enough get you excited your in the wrong hobby. I love it, and i consider it a perfect reaction to what i found
What an absolute treat to see mate, those coins are awesome

First hole and you find a 400+ year old coin very cool
Its the mystery of this hobby you just dont know what you gonna get
Well saved 👍🏻 what program was you using on that pasture
@cruzy1969 Deep HC mate and i put the sensitivity up to 97 and i occasionally switch from 17kHz to 24kHz
George I 'Dump' issue Farthing - very nice. I have a really nice George I 'Dump' issue 1717 Halfpenny, gifted by my brother.
@michaellooney1089 it really confused me that coin did as you can tell haha 😄 but tidy little coin if cleans up well
Bit over excited
