FYI there is a line near/above the top radiator hose 0:33 that supplies fresh air back into the valve covers, 2 lines run from each cover to a T and it goes to intake tube. (can be seen at 1:52 above his wrist parallel to the PCV hose disconnect from intake earlier) Slide clip and it pops off. Make sure its connected back or it will throw code due to un-metered air not crossing the MAF sensor.
Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but why wouldn't you want to leave both inlets open for more air intake? Is there a reason/benefit to install the plug on the secondary inlet?
So you took the real cold air intake that collected cold air from the front of the vehicle and replaced it with an intake that draws hot air from the engine compartment. So you can hear a different sound. Kiddy toys. Jeez !!!
If you watched the video it lines up at the same place as the OEM air intake does to allow you to utilize the same cold air from the fender. It flows a little better. I'm not for or against it, I like the sound but they are overpriced noise makers, but at least leave an educated complain...

Got one for my 2016 Colorado about 3 months ago. Great product, good price.
bought a used 2021 duramax diesel last year with this same unit. looking to put a purple filter on it 😅this really helped. i love customizing it.
Does the engine cover still fit after installation?

It forces air to come through the fender where you are pulling the coolest air. The second inlet pulls warm air from the engine bay.
Cool, thank you.
So where, exactly, is the "cold air" coming from? The same exact place the stock intake is getting its air from!
Yes sir exactly! Ours just flows 32% better than the stock one
@@SBFiltersand sounds better!
