Tip if you trying to build a row boat thing use the custom door parts the only difference is without the door because the game thinks it’s a sealed area but it’s technically not because the door frame is there but not the door
ok so i got my boat working there is a few extra things i added i didnt follow tutorial perfectly like i just used it as a guide to know what does what and what goes where i will put my boat on the workshop if u respond to this bc theres a few things that are messed up and idk how to fix them like for example maxing out at 20 rps per engine with large engines so the boat only goes like 5 mph so if u see this and respond i can post it on workshop and tell u name so maybe u can use it for a vid to kinda show people things they might have done wrong if they didnt follow the tutorial step by step
Is there a way to in essence make an "auto clutch" in the microcontroller or otherwise so you don't actually have to press W and 1 simultaneously? Like a threshold saying that if the throttle is at a certain point, it smoothly enagages the clutch to avoid stalling?
ok i have fixed my boat my only problem now is it maxxes at like 16 rps per engine and my boat goes like 5mph if i turn on inf fuel it goes to my set max rps 30 rps which is like 35mph
I'm having problems with my helm; it doesn't output a numeric value (green dot), only an ON/OFF value (red dot) on the A/D command. None of the helms do, so I can't connect them to the rudder because it needs a green input. Any idea what I should do?
My engine stalls out after working for 30 or so seconds, when it does it doesn't restart anymore. Any ideas? It should have fuel, added an indicator and the tank has plenty of it inside. EDIT: Noticed on the engine that the Exhaust was getting to 60ATM, turns out the catalytic converter has an input and an output and can be placed the other way around.
could you upload the microcontroller you used in the video to steam workshop so it's easier for people who can't understand the microcontroller video please it would be very helpful.
2:40 "This will not work, it won't float." Also him: *drops it from like 30 feet* Me: Well duh. Don't know where you're from, but obviously it wont float when you drop a heavy object into water from that high. Lower it down so it doesn't just drop in with force, it'll float just fine. Closed or open
So I have my boat functioning, but it only makes it about 1km from the port and it just shuts off abruptly and won't start again. I've added gauges to monitor everything, but there's nothing wrong. It has over 3000L of fuel, battery is good, engine temp, etc.
Shame you missed out explaining the center of mass. I always try to put my propulsion inline with it. Other than that, good video. I don't think there was anything else I would have mentioned.
BRUH... been following along until i get to the micro controller, now i have to go find that video to finish the boat, just saying that this shouldve been an all in one video, no need to go watch another video
Homie just banged out a boat hull in a minute like it was nothing. Shit takes me an hour usually.
Same here, I struggle a lot with the pyramid ones in the front (bow) lol
Too true
my one sank and i didnt save it ):
I taught myself how to play the game lol i can make a good bow in minutes
@@ShipGuy75 doesn't everyone teach themselves? Also it's pretty easy to build a basic hull that looks good if you have done it enough times
I learned all this the hard way. It's really refreshing to see this shown simply.
I am so intimidated LOL. Just bought this game and I feel like I will never be able to figure this out XD
u belive in u
Dude, you are hella underrated, its an impressive explanations, even such dumbass as i am understood how to do such a complicated thing

Storm works strikes me as being a good potential CAD educational tool.
Yea I’ve learnt a lot of basic programming for my course on this game
"this is how to make a 'simple boat" *50 minutes later*
a minisub tutorial or transmission tutorial would be really nice
Most underrated youtuber ever
So true
I agree
Fact
Bro you're the best TH-cam ever 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Excellent video man, thank you
thanks for showing the basics
Interesting CAD system in gaming you got there
Great Broo ! Make More !
Thank you :)

I don't have any time in Stormworks, but as I understand it, you need to keep your center of thrust in line with your center of mass, ideally.
Is there a way to in essence make an "auto clutch" in the microcontroller or otherwise so you don't actually have to press W and 1 simultaneously? Like a threshold saying that if the throttle is at a certain point, it smoothly enagages the clutch to avoid stalling?
Yup there is! Check out many centrifugal clutch MCs developed by others! Pretty much that, it slowly opens the clutch as power is applied
How do you make the transmission thing
so far my boat works however do u know why my boat wont go past 16 rps and keeps switching from 16 to 9 rps back and forth ever millisecond
ok i have fixed my boat my only problem now is it maxxes at like 16 rps per engine and my boat goes like 5mph if i turn on inf fuel it goes to my set max rps 30 rps which is like 35mph
If I understood correctly, it is impossible to go into the holds of the boat without sinking it?

Great video!
Tutorail for beginners: continues to build at the speed of light lol

My boat wont go forward with the point at 28:34 idk what is wrong but my propeller will not rotate. Anyone know what might be wrong?
I have the same problem. IDK what is happening.
Hey when i try to duplicate the wedge it only goes up and down how to fix?

I’m not sure where the microcontroller is, can someone tell me which video and time stamp?
I haven’t got it yet
@@paulblart2961me neither. But I still got you man
Simple Engine Tutorial for Stormworks (Engineer Explains) 25:28 here he make the key starter controller
I know this is a bit old, but where exactly is that microcontroller? looked at a few of the other Engineer Explains, but couldn't find it.
did you ever figure it out? im confused too
No, don't think i was able to finish the boat super well.@@_catata
Simple Engine Tutorial for Stormworks (Engineer Explains) 25:28 here he make the key starter controller
@@artemkiller7005 Thanks!
how do you drag the wedges like that?
What is a microcontroller?
No 3 position toggles?
whats a engine controller i cant find it
At the start it looks kind of like the 3d printer benchmark boat
My boat is sinking but there are no holes?
Where is the video of microcontroller
Man I worked my ass for an hour to super cool my plane engine and this homier pulls a boat out of his ass in like ten minutes I’m quiting
Shame you missed out explaining the center of mass. I always try to put my propulsion inline with it.
Other than that, good video. I don't think there was anything else I would have mentioned.
the scale of the blocks really fuck me up, they are unexpectedly small
1st person makes me sick can I play the game exclusively in 3rd person?
Yes, but you have to modify the config file to turn off firstperson only. After doing so tab switches view.
I am building my first boat:
by the way your boat is better

I made a nuke

Bro did not send a link of the microcontroller ;(
Edit: I found it th-cam.com/video/X84dYMeRMQg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3cW-d_ltDRDUJfo1
THERE IS NO WAY IM GONNA THING THATS NOT A GOOD BOAT
What is a microcontroller?
