Jennifer, I found a UK version online. Do you think they would honour the US offer? I always look for possible uk sites of the companies who sponsor you, like Rituals, but not sure if I should ask if their us offer can cross the pond…
Hi Jennifer, I love the idea of the Thrive Market, but unfortunately, it does not allow buying without a membership and I have loads of questions and quirks to satisfy, so unfortunately I can't try them out. Thank you anyway, Charlene
I think I need to incorporate teatime in my daily eating routine. Love how you don't deprive yourself of eating something sweet daily. Thank you Jennifer for sharing. ☕
IF has been great for me. I started after watching Jennifer's videos! The main thing it helped me with was mindless boredom snacking before bed; not for hunger, just because it was habit. IF helped me cut down on that!
From watching your videos I realized that it’s not just the time restricted eating window but the incorporation of healthy fruits and vegetables in your meals that may make a difference in getting good results. Even though I feel like I don’t eat huge portions, I noticed my weight goes down when I eat more veggies in the week especially broccoli and other greens and drink more water. I love how you don’t deprive yourself of sweet treats and carbs.
Typically I will meal plan my breakfast and lunch for the week and eat the same thing but switch it up week to week. This week breakfast is fruit and sous vide egg bites, lunch is sandwich with salad and carrot sticks, tea time is usually dandelion root tea and a piece of dark chocolate or banana bread, then tonight’s dinner is bangers and mash with peas. Try to stick to a 15:9 intermittent fasting since it works better with my work schedule. Thanks for a great idea video!
I’ve been IF since just after Christmas - I started with 14:10 to get me used to fasting… for the past two weeks I’ve been 16:8 and loving it. Wished I’d done this years ago.
I lost 10 pounds over the course of a few months of intermittent fasting. I didn’t do any exercises or change the food I ate, it just so happened that the more I got used to fasting, the less food I craved in the end. I just had a surgery, though, and I have to take food with my pills. So I have to stop the fasting for now, but I love watching these videos and I hope they inspire me to get back into it as soon as it’s medically safe for me. Thank you for making these!
I also practice IF and I love it. Since you asked .. :) My usual day starts with a matcha tea with a splash of milk, then I will break my fast on something reeeally small like a small piece of cheese or half an avocado at around 11am. I have my main meal of the day at 1:30 which is usually quite large and includes a grain, small piece of bread, and large portions of a variety of veggies. I live in a Hindu temple and we eat lunch all together in a cafeteria setting, and it’s quite rich! So I only eat a full sized meal once a day. then I will have something similar to your teatime but in the evening around 5 or 6, with a little something sweet. I know it doesn’t sound like alot, but I’ve found it’s enough, and if I eat more often than this, I gain weight quickly and also feel sluggish. Thanks for your inspiring videos!
I'm coming up to my one year anniversary of IF. I also do 16:8. IF improves my digestion and reduces inflammation. I also have a cup of black coffee with a splash of cream. My first meal is typically an egg cooked various ways, lunch is a protein and starch and dinner includes same, but I add a vegetable. Tea time is Teeccino tea and a sweet. Sometimes herbal tea as part of my bedtime ritual. Love the videos!
I started IF because of your video in November 2020. I had tried it briefly before but gave it up. Now I keep it up but sometimes my eating windows have become longer. I tried various methods and right now a little unsettled on my approach. But your videos are so encouraging that one doesn't have to do extreme things to find success!
My approach is a bit unsettled too. I want to keep the weight off but eat nutritiously which I don’t feel like I’m doing. I need to incorporate more salads but also feel like they go bad so quickly before I get a chance to eat them
Love Dr Mindys videos on IF and want to get her Fast like a Girl book. She says cream in coffee causing a spike in insulin is very person specific, it takes some people out of ketosis but not others. Her videos are extremely helpful post menopause because things really change mid life especially for women. It’s very freeing to see other women eating desserts and not depriving themselves or “dieting” we are so blessed with so much variety and tasty options and IF is actually sustainable way of living with fantastic results.
Hi Jennifer. I really enjoy your videos and thanks to you ordered my first LilySilk shirt and it arrived today! Very exciting. I also do intermittent fasting, and am finding it slow going, but then I am 76! I do count my carbs to keep the harbinger of type 2 diabetes at bay, and my A1c has come down a bit. Just 15-20 lbs to go to my goal, so I need all the encouragement I can get. I do love your calm and peaceful manner, just the kind of person I’d love to sit down with for a natter and a cuppa! I’m a Canadian expat living in England with my daughter’s family to be a live-in grandmother. Did I hear you correctly in one of your videos that you have a base here in England? How lovely it would be to meet you in person! I ramble, can you tell? Have a good one, and God bless.
I love to hear your a “live in” grandmother. I feel like we need to go back to taking care of our younger and elder ones, provided proper boundaries and manners are kept.
I really miss California's Mexican restaurants! I grew up in So. Cal. and always got a beef burrito and chili relleno also! I became a Mid-Westerner when I was 38 (because of my husband's job change) and have now lived in Ohio for the past 23 years. Still to this day, I have not had a good chili relleno here! Also, wanted to tell you that I love your videos and I'm enjoying reading your books. May our Lord continue to bless you and your family and I'm looking forward to your next book!
I love spying good books in your book pile! We are about to start retreading Wind in the Willows in a couple weeks in our homeschool and I love that Bedrooms book by Victoria 🥰
Hello Jennifer, what a fantastic video. Love your meals. I’ve been doing intermittent fasting for a good two years and feeling great.Ive lost a total of 20 pounds in two years. I do not deprive myself in my food it’s all about eating healthy meals. I also do my tea time but a bit later than you since I do fasting for 19 hours. Great video have to try the cheesecake recipe.😊
I love to watch these what I eat in a day videos of yours. Thank you so much for sharing. I am interested to see what I do in a day video. Your daily routine and how you fit reading and tea time with your routine. You inspire me. ❤
Good Morning, Jennifer! Your hair looks darling!! :) I can't wait for the recipes and the interview!! Your meals look tasty! I'm sorry about the dinner date! Were you able to reschedule? Between meals, do you drink tea (other than tea time) or stick to water? Thank you for another lovely video! Enjoy your week! WIth love, Kellie
Thank you for another great video Jennifer.I started intermittent fasting a few years ago and had great success with it but over the last year I have found it difficult to get back into so am hoping to start properly again now.I have found all of your videos over the last few years, since I first discovered them, a comfort whilst our family were going through worrying times with my lovely Dad who had advanced dementia and passed away in August last year.I feel ready to focus more on my health now so am looking forward to some tasty, healthy meals.Sending you best wishes from England.Dawn
Jennifer, what an excellent, real-life example in which to practice "10 Ways to Remain Classy" when anticipated dinner plans changed. Lovely example for us! Thank you💝
I am so glad to have found your channel, my first time I watched was a video on getting out of debt and budgeting. I really have learned from listening to your advice though in different areas though especially on being calm and classy! These things do not move me! Your influence to do IF also was very helpful and encouraging. God bless you and thank you!
The meals look absolutely delicious. However, the total calories roughly might be short of 1800 in 24 hours. This is low unless the goal is losing weight. This will eventually slow down metabolism and cause hormonal issues for women as they age. May be you want to track a day or two randomly to see if you meet the Caloric need. Only suggestion, I hope you take this with open mind. Love your channel
Great meal ideas! I usually do 2 Meals and a snack. I also do IF. I try to break my fast with protein like Greek yogurt, cottage cheese or a protein shake. I'll add nuts and seeds and maybe fruit.
I don’t think she is trying to lose more weight but maintain. I feel like they are smaller meals but she did have to postpone dinner so that is probably contributing to that
I love Good Culture organic full-everything cottage cheese with pickled beets as a snack…loving Earl Gray recently with a splash of cream and a bloop of honey. A friend just got me “Blue Tea” by Revival Tea Company. It does have a blue-green tint after brewed! And really good! Also tried The Spice and Tea Exchange Root Bear Chai Herbal Tea. It’s realgood too! I’m not a huge tea drinker, but trying to be 😉 I do love coffee best. Just got my order of Purity Coffee. It’s tested for mold and toxins. Glad you got Dr Mindy’s book. I believe you’ll benefit greatly. God Bless
I love these...Do you happen to notice a difference in energy levels when having your dessert with natural sweeteners (Honey, pure maple syrup) as opposed to refined sugar? Sigh...As I entered my 50's, it seems my body no longer handles refined sugar as well..
When I began learning about your intermittent fasting, Jennifer, I remember wondering how you could keep your energy & stamina with such small portions of food. Now that I’ve reached a stable recovery period of my health, my physician has placed me on appetite suppressants and I’m wondering how you are able to eat so much healthy food, with portion control! ❤ My favorite breakfast, which I just fixed: 1/3 c wheat Chex, 1/2 🍌, teaspoon chia seeds, fresh blueberries 🫐 and about a palmful of walnuts! I use 2% milk, just reheated my coffee, sprinkled with cinnamon and very large glass of water 💦 Lots of nutrients in one bowl! ❤
I’m thinking of trying IF after I have my baby. I will do research on IF while breastfeeding. It’s my first baby, so I don’t know what to expect! Thank you for the video Jennifer! 💕
Dr. Mindy says breast feeding is not a good time for IF because you don't want your body to go into autophagy since it will be dumped into your breast milk.
Does anyone know how many calories u should eat on ur eating days when doing alternate day fasting? I haven't been able to find out anywhere so I don't know if I'm eating too much or too little on those days!
Hi Jennifer, have you seen Miranda Mills’ channel on TH-cam? She’s a British lady whose channel is dedicated to book recommendations and recipes/lifestyle. I think you might really like her!
I think she just meant that they ordered a family sized tray of food that probably has a a few foods that everyone shares (instead of ordering different entrees for each person in the family)
That tortilla looked so good, what brand is it? I've been trying to find tortillas with good ingredients and no preservites. Enjoyed the video Thanks Jennifer 😊
Re nutrition facts for peanut butter vs cashew: please note serving sizes shown are different. When comparing I find it easier to look at per 100g for all foods. ❤
Your food looks delicious, I’m just wondering how you eat so little and stay satisfied. This is in no way a criticism but a sincere question. I have no problem doing the 16:8 fast, but how do you do so few calories without feeling hungry?
I'm curious too but my guess is, based on what is shown, high fat, fiber, and protein are an emphasis in her meals and all 3 together are very satiating!
I suspect the IF isn't as much a factor in her weight loss as the teeny portions, but I love seeing her beautiful presentations and yummy meals! I probably eat 2X the volume she does at least! LOL. I'd love to see her plate next to her husband's plate to get a better idea of the amount of food - hard to tell with close-ups and with no object to "gauge". If her plate is a 7 inch saucer that makes a huge difference over a 10 inch or 12 inch dinner plate.
@@TheDailyConnoisseur Thanks! I bought the book Jane Austin Diet and i’m enjoying it so far. Started reading it yesterday, thanks for the recommendation!
Wondered if you had planned on going to El Cholo? I usually get the same order you were going to get when I go there. El Cholo has such a rich history in LA!
“The birds are going to be really mad!”…… haha, I just picture the birds at your house in little petticoats and hats with blue ribbon, and completely indignant about the state of the feeder! 😤
What do you think of the research that shows plastic is an endocrine disruptor? I just wonder about all the products wrapped in plastic. I also don't know their impact on the earth and if there are any impliations of landfills and plastic.
Great meal ideas. My naturopath recommended (prescribed) intermittent fasting last year and I dove in listening to all things IF ever since. I finally started Jan.6th,2023. Look forward to your interview with Dr. Mindy Pelz too. Some ideas as a foodie, cook from scratch too: First meal 2 eggs, 1 avocado, sourdough bagel, coffee w raw milk. 2nd meal may be early dinner before 6 so I keep my window at 18:6 but depending what is going on or invited to breakfast I will have 2 meals earlier in day and skip dinner time. I love yogurt bowls with fruit & chia seeds or as a smoothie. Dinner is like you with protein, fat, veggies & sometimes carbs from bread or pasta too. It depends. Love meat, dairy, fish, etc.
Hi..commenting for the first time. Love watching your videos. I just wanted to ask how much cream can i put in my coffee...its very hard for me to have it plain black. Thanks.
I put about one teaspoon in my coffee. I have been told it doesn't kick you out of the fast. But when I wanted to lose weight I did drink black coffee...
Bonjour Jenifer! Je suis toujours curieuse si vous prenez les repas en famille ou toute seule. Je vraiment envie d'avoir la recette de ce chesecake, svp! Merci bien pour la vidéo !
Thank you for the delightful winter recipes! We shared crepes with berries yesterday. & Made homemade tacos for a late lunch. We fast similarly & my hubbie & I view cooking together a treasure. ThankYou 4 U'r inspiration 💞 ps. Our yards are very similar & we have a wild bunny too! 3 feeders & 2 bird baths. I Really appreciate You Jennifer
Thank you for your videos. I was encouraged to do IF because of your 16:8 method. I started in May 2022. My question: in your journey, was weight plateau became your concern? If yes, did you even consider changing your patter or do an alternate up and down days or any other changes to your 16:8. I’ve been doing OMAD but my concern is weight plateau and I may need to change my method. Thank you!
Weight plateau was not a concern for me. When I lost the weight I wanted to stay there and not lose any more... But look out for my interview in late April with Dr. Mindy because she might be able to shed light on this more.
@@Thekatedelaney She tried to make it sound like using honey is somehow better than sugar. It IS sugar. Same spike in blood glucose. A little more nutrients.
You are hurting yourself by ordering from those online meal delivery companies they are nothing but Corporation factories with lots of nasty ingredients and no nutritional value or very little
It looks like you are eating a bit more organic and 'healthy'...kefir? Sauerkraut?...I think you used to eat oatmeal and real cookies at teatime...and you lost weight ...why are you switching to all this weird foods? Are you eating differently than your family? Or do your kids eat kefir too now?
Kefir is very common around the world. And sauerkraut is not any stranger to this part of the world. I would not call these foods “weird” and there’s nothing wrong with trying new things either to broaden your palette. It’s obvious that they’re new to you though.

Yummy. I am going to rewatch as it seems you are having three meals a day . Maybe I got that wrong. But your meals sound delicious yummy 😍
What is the difference between earl gray and miss gray tea?
We have earl gray and lady tray in the UK (I imagine similar to miss gray). Lady gray is more subtle flavour.....I prefer it.
That apricot chicken looks amazing!
It's great! I'll share the recipe soon. It's very easy to make.
do you make your own whipped cream or do you buy it? Also when you say heavy cream in your coffee, is that the same as heavy whipping cream ?
in other words, do you use heavy whipping cream in your coffee or half and half ? 😊thanks
I usually do make my own whipped cream and I did in this video. And yes, I have heavy whipping cream in my coffee (not half and half). Thank you!
@@TheDailyConnoisseur Thanks! I bought the book Jane Austin Diet and i’m enjoying it so far. Started reading it yesterday, thanks for the recommendation!
@@emgrasso Bryan's book is wonderful. I'm glad you're enjoying it!
Wondered if you had planned on going to
El Cholo? I usually get the same order you were going to get when I go there.
El Cholo has such a rich history in LA!
I love El Cholo! The best!
“The birds are going to be really mad!”…… haha, I just picture the birds at your house in little petticoats and hats with blue ribbon, and completely indignant about the state of the feeder! 😤
What TH-cam channels do you follow?
As a latina viewer of yours, that loves everything you do, the tittle in your little journal can also be pronounced in Spanish as Super bien 😉
I was thinking the same thing! Super bien! (Means super good). Lol
Yes, me too!!! As a spanish one, I thought the same way, but “bien” is the same word in French, so… it could be written in French as well
Super bien! 💫
What do you think of the research that shows plastic is an endocrine disruptor? I just wonder about all the products wrapped in plastic. I also don't know their impact on the earth and if there are any impliations of landfills and plastic.
She’s not an endocrinologist. I feel like these important questions should be geared to a person that has done research on the topic
Hmmm. I'm pretty convinced it's your portion sizes and lack of after dinner snacking that's doing the trick, rather than the fasting.
Great meal ideas. My naturopath recommended (prescribed) intermittent fasting last year and I dove in listening to all things IF ever since. I finally started Jan.6th,2023. Look forward to your interview with Dr. Mindy Pelz too.
Some ideas as a foodie, cook from scratch too:
First meal 2 eggs, 1 avocado, sourdough bagel, coffee w raw milk.
@@TheDailyConnoisseur thankyou so much. Will try it out.
I appreciate you too! And we love our wild rabbit ♥
Thank you! I have Dr. Mindy’s new book too. But my IF journey started with you. I’m grateful! Looking forward to your interview with Dr. Mindy.
Oooh, Fast Like a Girl - please do a review!!
Great video. It may be time for me to finally take a good look at Thrive Market. Happy Monday ❤Elle
Tip: No chocolate after 12:00PM if you have trouble sleeping....
Honey is ALL sugar.
She said “except” for the honey
Her food looks delicious. She had cheesecake for tea time! My kids would love this!
Kefir is very common around the world. And sauerkraut is not any stranger to this part of the world. I would not call these foods “weird” and there’s nothing wrong with trying new things either to broaden your palette. It’s obvious that they’re new to you though.
