Look Battlefield as a series, a new one doesn’t need to come out every year to be relevant , but each one gets a ton of support for years.

Jack, found you while watching Westie, Stod, and Tomo and I'm so glad I did. Your videos/streams are just so unique compared to how everyone else reacts to and talks about games. Keep it up.
Why does Jackfrags’ description of Division lore kind of make it sound like a virus turns the infected into Christmas elves who enforce an infinite Christmas upon New York through violence?
My only complaint is that I wish it came out with more game modes like TDM, SND , CTF , ETC. But I'm sure it will come with time and I'm loving the simplicity of the game so far!
Why do people always claim it's the next "insert game title here" killer. A game can be good and do it's own thing, but this isn't replacing CoD, it is 't even really the same overall type of game.
Weird thing is I played this game yesterday and it's literally just cod with a different name. Like I can't imagine why I would play this over cod when it's the same thing lol. Also I buy cod only for zombies so if the next title has a good round based zombies mode as rumoured then there's no reason for me to go for another series
Somehow the map especially the indoors reminds me of how I used to play the now gone Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Phantoms also by Ubisoft that was Free to Play back in the day and those were good times. Happy to see it in some form here with XDefiant and now looking forward to try this as well
A lot of people play solo. Who don't have friends to play with. Anything that can bridge that social gap helps imo. Its like when someone commends your kill in chivalry 2. Its nice to have that splitsecond social connection.
Honestly, my friends who were hardcore COD fans all ditched COD for this game and I have to say, it really does feel like how COD used to be, and once you get over the learning curve it’s relatively fun. The body hit boxes are mildly annoying but the TTK is already super low in this game, so it doesn’t really matter They need to rebalance the guns though. SMGs are way too strong right now. Additionally, I personally don’t like Cleaner’s passive
i actually really like this, its fun, also free to play was a great move. seems like not many youtubers are talking about it? also, someone who studies psychology and neuroscience, im not sure there is a reason other than being different to CoD and Overwatch. Emojis show more emotion than written words, for example, in rocket league toe dual meanings of something like 'nice shot' or 'what a save', these can either be perceived sarcastically or in a friendly manner, depending on context, but emojis are more emotive and therefore engaging to players. but likely the first reason i said, just to differ from cod and overwatch

I am liking the unlock system so far, and the classes being pretty locked down is easy to understand. Some of the abilities are a bit OP like wall hacks, but some of the support options do help even it out. Overall id say 9/10 shooter! No tdm is sad though..
Does anyone remember Shatterline? No? Because that was supposed to be a "CoD Killer" too. It also even came with a PvE game mode that lots of people liked. But now no one is playing it, and no one talks about it. Because CoD will never die. It's just too ingrained in the gaming world.
True. Otherwise CoD would've been gone for the past 15 years, it only got more successful once it became a milking machine with the forced MW2 release back then.
No one calls anything a "killer" seriously. Path of Exile hasn't killed Diablo, CoD and Battlefield haven't killed each other, FF XIV didn't kill WoW, WoW didn't kill FF XIV, Dota 2 and LoL, Valorant and Counter Strike, all happily competing and coexisting in their respective segments of the market. Almost no game is killed by another game. Games are killed by publishers cutting costs and bigger studios buying smaller ones to poach talent, tech and intellectual property.

As someone with a psych degree, its hard to pinpoint exactly why they have implemented the kill ranking system, however I believe it is due to player agency. For the player to be able to express how they feel directly to the server, even if the submission is completely ignored, the player feels as though their concerns have been heard and that is a validating feeling. Only time will tell if this feature can actually be utilised in some fashion that is useful to players or if it is just another gimmick…
I don’t think some people understand how much of a grip COD has on the market. There is no shooter that will ever displace COD from being at the top whether we like it or not. COD has a massive presence in Latin America and that’s something that people forget about.
Psychology behind the reacts when you got killed: You can vent your anger so you don't get angry/salty that fast and you keep playing and dont rage quit.

People say that Ubi game wont last and stuff like that, but Ubi actually supports their games really well even after they flop in the beginning. For Honor has been around for ever after nearly collapsing right when it was launched, R6 almost collapsed before operation health, only to become one of the most popular fps games around to date. Hope they go after it with this game as well, I played a small amount of Xdefiant but honestly, it has the core to be a great cod alternative for people that do not have the funds to buy cod every year. It is unbelievably expensive in my region for example.
The incendiary ammo is def OP right now. I switched factions to that one and instantly got more kills. It wouldn’t be so bad if the other factions got some sort of perk while shooting, like GR getting lower recoil or something. But no, their bullets just hit harder.

Jack just casually hitting absolutely mental sniper shots 😂 no biggie just another day at the office lads
I subscribe to your channel. I really love this game plus you gave great tips and tricks you’re awesome dude keep dropping awesome content.
there's so many division 2 assets in this game it makes me want to play division 2
Anyone els cracked a little smile when Jack said “Dice plz” when complaining about not being able to put a reddot on the weapon 😂
He does that all the time for pretty much all shooters he plays
Not a cod killer, but way MORE FUN than cod is currently 😂
COD hardcore is amazing
You say that till the next black ops game
COD is actually in a good place right now. This game is mediocre.
@@that80ssongyoulove84the thing is about CoD that it isn’t in a good place right now at all. MW3 was overpriced DLC, the cheating is out of control, and too much resources are put into Warzone and not into the base game anymore.
If the MS acquisition of Activision is going to help CoD, then this years iteration will have to be the only CoD for at least two years. Look Battlefield as a series, a new one doesn’t need to come out every year to be relevant , but each one gets a ton of support for years.
@@fragilefilter Exactly, I've been saying it for years that COD needs to have at least a 2 year gap for the new games
2 minutes into the video and jack requested new splinter cell game. I LOVE THIS GUY
Emoji reactions can also be feedback data to identify pain points with players. Its also good for extra feedback on the mood of the players compared to reading a reddit or review.
Jack, found you while watching Westie, Stod, and Tomo and I'm so glad I did. Your videos/streams are just so unique compared to how everyone else reacts to and talks about games. Keep it up.
how tf did you find those guys before jack lol
Why does Jackfrags’ description of Division lore kind of make it sound like a virus turns the infected into Christmas elves who enforce an infinite Christmas upon New York through violence?
still a better concept than division 2
Pretty accurate to be fair. And money and stuff
You clicked the video, didn’t you?
That’s your answer.
Cod killed itself a long time ago lol it’s a shell of itself, no need to kill what’s already dead
it is the same
Weird thing is I played this game yesterday and it's literally just cod with a different name. Like I can't imagine why I would play this over cod when it's the same thing lol. Also I buy cod only for zombies so if the next title has a good round based zombies mode as rumoured then there's no reason for me to go for another series
Because the head dev is an ex-cod dev and also explained the goal of the game is to feel like the oldschool cod.
Somehow the map especially the indoors reminds me of how I used to play the now gone Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Phantoms also by Ubisoft that was Free to Play back in the day and those were good times. Happy to see it in some form here with XDefiant and now looking forward to try this as well
I feel like jack is always under the weather whenever I watch his videos lol

Ubisoft CoD is possibly one of the most cancerous phrases ever spoken.;
fr, true brain rot
who wants to play anything ubisoft put out recently? Greedy ass company.- Even if they give you money to play their games I still wouldn't go for it.
Lmao
I think this game was developed by an individual developer, where they had 100% say and all ubisoft did was fund them and publish their game.
@@ceasarperez6246 not just any developer though he was an executive developer on infinity ward from COD 2 all the way to Infinite Warfare
A lot of people play solo. Who don't have friends to play with. Anything that can bridge that social gap helps imo. Its like when someone commends your kill in chivalry 2. Its nice to have that splitsecond social connection.
It’s so good! Absolutely love it and had so much fun with friends! Excited to see it’s future.
It won’t have a future .
@@robertodavid1717damn why you praying on its downfall its a great game im having more fun than any new cod in the last 5 years
I’m lowkey addicted to this game
Honestly, my friends who were hardcore COD fans all ditched COD for this game and I have to say, it really does feel like how COD used to be, and once you get over the learning curve it’s relatively fun.
The body hit boxes are mildly annoying but the TTK is already super low in this game, so it doesn’t really matter
They need to rebalance the guns though. SMGs are way too strong right now. Additionally, I personally don’t like Cleaner’s passive
Smgs are much bigger problem than the snipers and they're way too op as well
i actually really like this, its fun, also free to play was a great move. seems like not many youtubers are talking about it?
also, someone who studies psychology and neuroscience, im not sure there is a reason other than being different to CoD and Overwatch.
Whenever someone drops an emoji I'll know their tilted
Cool idea, like an fps super smash with Ubisoft IPs
I’m already level 42 and I’m loving this game 🔥
This is a Ubisoft game, it will kill itself in no time
Oh shut up
@@Jakeznk game is mediocre

@@heycat33 just wait until ubisoft starts monetizing this thing
I've been thinking this too🤣🤣🤣
I have been loving this game, throwback to classic COD
Looks/plays nothing like COD. It reminds me more of OverWatch than anything
Yes because Classic COD had specialist, 7-8 shoots to kill weapons, slide and cancel and you had infinite stamina.
Damn posser
@@dybixs1400it's the arcade factor that makes it feel like a classic shooter like the old cods. There's no other game that's arena based that captures this feel out rn and that's just facts.
@@PhilusMoore808s wtf does "arcade factor" even means? Today's COD is years light more arcade than any COD before Advance Warfare, you literally have unicorn operators and weapon skins, gamemodes that let you fly and the ability to create absolute 0 sense weapons in the gunsmith. What did you had back in the day? All Milsim operators even in BO2 + Real life weapons and much slower movement. You don't make any sense with that language
@@dybixs1400 you are clearly very upset. It’s a simple and easy game, and most importantly it’s fun, altough I only played like 2 hours. Older cods were much more fun for a lot of people. For me, it feels a bit like BO4, which was imo a good game. This is free to play, which makes it very accessible. You don’t have to play it if you don’t like it. It aims for the a similar audience as COD, and if it will be successful, it will have a positive impact of future cod games as well (cause of competition). Relax dude
Bro finally someone who mentioned Shatterline. I played it for alittle while. Xdefiant feels so similar. But Shatterline has a pretty decent coop mode unlike this. Sad it didn't gain the popularity it deserves.
Jackfrags was hyping shatterline in the past, content creators just jump on any bandwagon!
I thought shatterline PvE was excellent. The pvp was not so much
Its solid I will say that, very good for a free game 😎
Especially by goobersoft
Not as good as The Finals though...
@@TAPORZZ14the finals alone just has better hitreg and going behind walls actually works lol. That makes a big difference, but as a direct cod competitor, this is great
@tomsbondars downloaded and played xdefiant for 3 matches and then deleted and immediately got back on the finals...
Finals is good but the mode is just ehh tbh. It gets old after a while. The new mode is ehh as well. The maps in xdefiant are so much better and gunplay feels great as well
love that jack finally gets baked for his vids
Says this AK bounces like crazy. Well Jack, that is how actual AK's are in full auto. Forget what gameplay tells you, thats an AK. Also, the accuracy drops off HUGE after 150, to 200 yards.
This guy really brings realism to a fun arena shooter with wall hacks and respawns...bruh
Tell me you never fired a non knock off AK without directly telling me that you never fired an AK.

@@christianperez8488for some reason im so bad at this game
The fact that they've finally bought back some parts of Ghost Recon Phantoms....
The level on the ship in the first clip where you drop down on the pillar and the outer section of the metal foundry map are all taken from Ghost Recon Phantoms. 😊
Played it last night and the only negative is the progression is so slow. Played it for almost 2 hours and unlocked one sight in the whole time I was playing.

It is grindy, but try push your daily and base goals, they boost xp a lot I found

That's a silly thing to be excited about.
@@birdstwin1186I actually think it’s pretty important little detail, not seeing my legs in a game always makes me sigh for some reason
That's like become a standard for any modern game, I don't think we should thank ubisoft for that "achievement" lol
It’s actually quite good. Reminds me of old school cod in a good way. Net code is crap tho I often get killed well after getting behind cover
This game will kill nobody but itself. Ubisoft should be glad people still remembered this game after so long.
The reason of having emojis on a killcam is that UBI will sell custom ones later on lol
Loving xdefiant they just saved me £80 on buying the next cod xdefiant feels casual rather than sweaty
I don’t think some people understand how much of a grip COD has on the market. There is no shooter that will ever displace COD from being at the top whether we like it or not. COD has a massive presence in Latin America and that’s something that people forget about.
Never say never, back in 2000s no one ever think of a football game better than Winning Eleven
Xdefiant already has cheaters and CoD has cheaters all the time. The only thing thats getting killed is my desire to plpay any of these games
Psychology behind the reacts when you got killed: You can vent your anger so you don't get angry/salty that fast and you keep playing and dont rage quit.
This game sucks ass. Will be interesting to see if it survives for more than a year and a half. Ghost Recon Online made it like a year or so if I remember correctly and that was at least fun.

The theme song for this game is so chill and soothing. Also, the searching for match screen looks similar to the older halo game.
the map at 42 sec reminds me off ghost recon back in the day. i used to play that a lot
Love how this game ties in several Ubisoft IPs, but it reminds me of the pain that we have yet to get a new GR game, SC game, and still waiting for a Division 3
My first impression of the first map he plays on is that its based on a campaign/multiplayer map from the xbox 360 era Splinter Cell Blacklist.
“I’m just talking nonsense in this video.”
Even if I have zero interest in the game, Jack makes every video must watch. Well done once again Jack!

@jackfrags, bro you are so hilarious in this game. I love your non chalant characteristics you bring. The emoji thing was like meh, then you made it funny. "Oh yay, we got battle pass skins, I am so excited.... I can't wait to die" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This looks quite fun i might have to give it a go meself.
The incendiary ammo is def OP right now. I switched factions to that one and instantly got more kills. It wouldn’t be so bad if the other factions got some sort of perk while shooting, like GR getting lower recoil or something. But no, their bullets just hit harder.
Looks really fun , gotta try it out
