Best Way to Remove a Jeep Hard top! Easy, One Person System!

- There are many different options when it comes to removing a hardtop, however, none are as fun to build, easy to use, and as well built as the TopLift Pros system! On this episode, we build the lift, we use it to remove the massive @Patriotfastbacks hardtop off the TJ, and we also store the hardtop over our TJ in the garage. Oh, and we announce the first of 3 headlight giveaway winners, and we continue our quest to give away a patriot fast backs.

HardTop for '16 JKU, headlights for '81 Scrambler CJ8 or JKU.... Question can you lower the lift and move it in the garage lowered and then raise it back up? I think you would have to keep the glass hatch open.

Need this hardtop for my 03 tj
So when you're not using it, where do you keep it? Also, you probably don't need the extension supports, just move the support frame in as far as you can go before you lift it. Once you have it balanced under the roof's support frame it should be fine with out them.
We keep it in the garage, takes up minimal room as it sits above the jeep. Good call with the support!
@@Garagecouple I've built a hard top removal crane into the roof of my garage. It's made from a few boat rollers, a boat winch and 2 trampoline frame poles.

Good Purchase! I have had mine for several years now and Love it! I also bought their Store-A-Door Cart and PowerPro Assist for the TLP (New Accessory). Not Cheap, but worth every penny! I also recommend buying the Five40usa Door Grip for putting the Front Doors back on the JKU. This has been a game changer for me!

Nice to see a real world review and put together of this product, impressive it holds an aftermarket top and shows it lives up to it's use and design. 2020 JLU here and single person so this is off the thought/maybe list and a definite for next summer. Winter time times in NE Pennsylvania are not as good as the West Coast

TopLift Pros is a great idea! Looks like it would work perfectly for a stock wrangler, but it gets a little dicey when you have larger tires and a lift. Wonder if bolting 4x4 blocks in between the casters and the lift bases would help out? It would at least give you an additional 3.5" of height.

Greg's reaction was hilarious to 'Santa,' haha! I tried to 'build' a top lift using some cheap Princess Auto (basically Harbor Freight) winches and some metal frame I built (it was a huge pain to do and sucks to use - I just use 'manpower' haha). That thing looks so nice and easy to use - and you don't need a 'roof' to mount it to (and it must be given how happy Greg was with it!).

When I first got my jeep in 2015 my wife was jealous cuz I paid more attention to jeep(Nagourni) than her (Eva) 😜but after she got over it she bought me alien shade for Jk. what a difference!. You still get the air thru mesh but no sun burn you might wanna check it out . 80$

I think Greg needs the Quick Release bolt set for the hardtop in his stocking Aleen. Will make it even quicker and that thing fits perfectly in your garage. Nice setup! Sign me up for another shot at those lights and I am still in for the TJ hardtop. Go Team TJ! Woot Woot!

Did you get the stock top pro lift or the one with the extension since you have 37” tires and a lift? What’s your measurement from ground to the rubber seal on the back window with it open??? Thanks
You should get some quick disconnects for the hardtop screws. Trust me, taking off the hardtop screws with quick disconnects is much faster. Love the video. Woohoo on my win. Question? Where do I send my info. to you?

For added peace of mind, I would let the front of the top rest on the roll bar until putting it the extra support bars.

you forgot that your Jeep is raised. Therefore, before installing the second half section of the TopLift Pros, you needed to raise your TopLift Pros above stock. That would have been easier than removing your tires.
Thing is, wouldn't feel comfortable with it being any taller. Only have to remove the spare. No biggie.

Great channel, enjoy watching but that lift is not my cup of tea lol.. seems like any sudden movement would cause that top to fall to ground and crash into pieces. I have a Harken Hoister and feel much safer with it, and don't have to remove spare tire
It was actually very stable! We move it around the garage all the time now 👍
