I would say that animals do. Elephants never forget. Blue jays have been known to get revenge on people after significant amounts of time if they had their nest messed with. Dogs, cats, horses and other animals remember if they like someone or not. Could. Have a lot of time pass and they may still feel aggressive or hesitant towards certain people and probably other animals as well.
A tiger named Tatiana was taunted by a couple of kids and escaped her cage. She weaved through a crowd of people to get to the kids and ended up killing one and wounding the other before police shot her. One of the more gruesome examples of animal grudges
@@dionaliu497 there's other accounts of tigers similar stuff too. There was a Siberian tiger in Russia I believe and a hunter shot and wounded it and stole part of it's kill and the tiger found the cabin where he was staying. It trashed it and waited for him to come back and killed the guy.

It quickly became a kitkat cake when you chuck all the broken bits of finger back in. Joe's wrong, chimps are not "mean" chimps are absolutely controlled by their nature whereas we as humans control that nature. People are no different I would bite somebodies fucking fingers and face off if they managed to piss me off that much on an emotional level. BUT because I control my nature to react I would never expect to see it happen. Chimps 100% you know they will they have no choice, there are no liberal hippy Chimps :D They are all animals.
@@SanJose408Alex We do, or at least civilised people do as much as they can. Our nature is pullings legs off of mosquitos or getting revenge with a cheap shot or a low blow in the playground. These are the natures of humanity, and I for one am GLAD that we task ourselves with controlling it!
My dog got in a fight with my best friends dog. Our dogs used to be best friends before this fight. After this fight, my dog can’t even be in the same room as my friends dog without being restrained. My point is that animals definitely hold grudges.
As a child chimps used to scare me more than any other animal as I grew to become a 47 year old man I just thought they were no more scary than any other animal but I always thought there was something creepy about them. But this has just blown my mind! I'm now terrified of them!
Once I went to a zoo and seen many big powerful animals but when i got to the chimps area they were like in a riot or something and I freaked out so much that I had to left cause the way they were pushing the cage and their face expression made me feel so small and also thought they could make it out the cage at any moment. One of the most scary situations of my whole life. I can't imagine encountering just one of them in the wild...
And yet it's not the chimps who destroyed 50% of all widllife on Earth. Humans talking about Chimps' cruelty, another case of the pot calling the kettle black. 🙄
The pure fact you mentioned "cage" makes me think these Chimps were in a cramped overpopulated environment that instinctively made them feel cornered and trapped, so naturally they couldn't handle it and were stressing and freaking out about it. Plenty of other animals experience this same kinda thing too, especially rats or mice in laboratories for example.

Joe's kind of intense and scary as he's making certain points in his story about the chimps and there aggressiveness. You can see the aggressiveness in Joe's eyes as he talks about it.
Tigers have been known to keep grudges, theres that story bout a guy who shot and injured a tiger and stole its kill. So the tiger tracked him back to his cabin, trashed his cabin, waited about 10-15 hours for him to come home, then killed him. Lions could be capable of this too, and many other animals too
I just read that blog post... The first sentence started with "I spent some time the other day at the LA zoo" and finished with "I would like to state for the record, that I would not mind being an aliens pet as long as they were to cool me as I am to my dogs"
In a zoo in Norway there was this monkey that managed to take a keychain with lots of keys from one of the zoo keepers. So the zoo keeper took a banana and gave it to the monkey as a trade. Instead of giving back all the keys, the moneky took off one of the keys and gave it to the zoo keeper.
With all due respect to Joe , I can't help but think he looks like one every time he puts that headset on ngl lol, with the shape of his bald head and stocky build. Without it he looks human though lol
I've had two dogs in my life who held grudges. In one, when I moved, she didn't like this and began peeing on my bed. With the other, if I gave my other dog more attention, he'd pee on my sofa; a week after I began giving him extra attention, he stopped. Some dogs also get jealous of other dogs.
When my son turned 13 and got taller than me, I went through the exact same thing with him. I'm missing fingers and he never listens. He is now 15. I went from looking 12 to looking 57 years old. 3:09 finally someone has articulated motherhood.
So I looked up the story about the chimp who was supposed to receive the cake and after the attack the story took a crazy turn. His name was Moe and although he wasn't the attacker (It was 2 other chimps), two years after the attack Moe escaped from the sanctuary he was kept at and was lost in the forest in Socal. As far as I can tell from combing through Google, Moe was never found and still could be roaming the forest to this day. How ironic would it be if Joe was hunting in the same forest and came across Moe and mistaked him for Bigfoot? A story truly coming full circle. 🤣
An elephant killed a women and during her funeral, the elephant returned and trampled the casket. I'm certain elephants can hold grudges. It's kind of like how a dog would be scared of a man that hits it everyday.
I think you may be on to something with captivity anger. With Travis the chimp, his anger issues began soon after he was barred from being outside. Chimps in good places, like the cognitive research facilities in japan seem to have no aggression issues. Maybe this can be applied to humans to some degree. We get more frustrated the more we stay inside
I follow a chimp sanctuary. Most of the chimps there were born into lab research although one was captured in Africa as a baby. 2 of them were like Joe is talking about here, were used as pets in the beginning, than sold into entertainment, because they got too strong, then sold into Lab research. The sanctuary makes no bones about the fact that the hardest part of their job is keeping them entertained. They have a large playroom, they have a greenhouse which is solar heated, And they have to acres with climbing structures to patrol as their own territory every day. But in the Winter months, it can still be a challenge to keep the smart ones occupied
I love animals, but not an animal lover, thanks for keeping it real Joe. Some people who call them selves animal lovers have a walt disney version of animals
I love animals but not chimps lol. I don’t even see chimps as animals, they’re human close cousins and it shows because they’re as evil as humans can be.
Dolphins definitely have a language. Researchers have noticed that dolphins seem to gossip about one another when the other is off hunting or something. The researchers were able to tell this because they also realized that dolphins in a pod together have names for one another. And when another dolphin was gone, other dolphins would be heard saying that dolphins name while he was gone. So the researchers deduced that those dolphins were talking about the other dolphin in their absence.
Same haha....., I know right, I luv how just a few important rules being changed around for some one ,( talking about myself here ) and how it all can get deduced to chimp mentality haha! Making this very relevant to me haha.
Just two weeks ago two chimps escaped in a Zoo in the Netherlands. Somebody had accidentally left the door open. As soon as they were free they immediately became aggressive towards people and both had to be shot. It’s tragic and illustrates what Joe is talking about here.
You forgot about Orcas.
A tiger named Tatiana was taunted by a couple of kids and escaped her cage. She weaved through a crowd of people to get to the kids and ended up killing one and wounding the other before police shot her. One of the more gruesome examples of animal grudges

Even animals like fish have personalities. My family had this pet fish who was incredibly violent towards other fish but towards humans he was like a dog! When we watched tv he would swim over to the side of his tank that gave him the best view and would level himself to watch it!

Google Moe the chimp
Or inmates

Dolphins definitely have a language. Researchers have noticed that dolphins seem to gossip about one another when the other is off hunting or something. The researchers were able to tell this because they also realized that dolphins in a pod together have names for one another. And when another dolphin was gone, other dolphins would be heard saying that dolphins name while he was gone. So the researchers deduced that those dolphins were talking about the other dolphin in their absence.
