His buddy played trumpet also, they made beautiful music together up and down the east coast. It has only been recently I can listen to beautiful music. My dad passed away in 2006. I think this is a tune that needs an interpretation to sound good. It's not a tune that sounds good on its own merits. Niall makes it sound great. Beautiful.

I have talked about the reason for recording this in many interviews and performances, that symphony was the first one I ever played over twenty years ago and was blown away by my friend playing the melody on horn. Chet recorded a stunning version of it and it was a big inspiration.
