I tried ride concepts this year and love them. The back of mine dip down to allow more ankle movement. Comfortable and high grip.

Had a pair of the freeriders, really good on the pedals, but no good for pushing the bike back to the top of a trail especially in the winter months... slipping and sliding all over.. 😂 i later purchased some 5-10 impact pros, waaaay better and grippier. Bigger thicker soles a lot sturdier. and its like my feet are clipped in.. 👌👌

as someone getting back into MTBing after 20 odd years, its interesting where it's gone, no toe clips, less but lighter and more efficient gears, much bigger wheels, and suspension is standard, all/ vast majority of bikes used to be 'hardtailed' and quite often hard-headed too, I remember the first ever set of RockShox #feelingold

@@chainreactioncycles Hello everyone! My name's Robert and I'm talking from Brazil. I'm using a flat pedal on my road bike because I had a little problem on my knees and I still recovering. I bought a flat pedal Catalyst from pedal innovations and now I would like to buy a flat shoes to use with them. Can you recommend anyone of these with my road bike? best regards!

what i have learned by using MTB shoes is.. there are a LOT of shoes that will work for MTB, depending i think, on what terrain you're in. do you need ride concepts vice high's for XC/downcountry? nah, you dont. do you want low top slip on vans for enduro..? nope!
i found a great shoe that takes us back to the BMX and skating days.. the vans Half-Cab. yep. grippy vans waffle tread, supportive half/mid tops, lotsa lacing and some decent coverage with the suede/pleather.
i love the half-cab because the sole is a little (not a lot) more flexible than the RC's and much more comfy than 5-10's
i am able to feel where my foot is on my flats, as a result give me more confidence and better control.
out here in the sonoran desert, it'd be hard to ride those solid heavy shoes - too hot
while sending it at the jump lines however, i go back to the RC vice high's
what y'all missed is mentioning a great pair of socks, that can make or break any shoe. there are merino based brands marketed towards hiking, but have so many styles you can basically use them for anything.. Darn Tough, Farm to Feet, DeFeet etc.. you'll never wanna wear cotton or synthetics again!

It’s so difficult to find a shop within 200 miles that carry’s a lot of these awesome shoes. I personally HAVE to try on shoes before I buy them.

So looking at purchasing a pair of flats for winter wet weather, still to find a pair that will deal with the day in day out riding as a cycle instructor. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks 👍🏻

I wear size 11.5 in dress shoes and tennis shoes ( size 46 in metric). I went to 2 large shops in Denver to buy MTB flat pedal shoes . Everything both shops had was way too short in length. One shop had a size 13 that didn’t fit my size 11.5 foot! Question: is accurate “sizing” a common problem with MTB shoe manufacturers?

hi, sorry for the out of context question. Some people say that Oakley goggle lenses are clearer, is this also valid when it comes to transparent lenses? or at that point oakley loses value? In other words, does something change equally between transparent lenses from different brands?
