1:46 this just goes so perfectly with how Chalmers corners Skinner in the argument, setting up a musical phrase for Skinner to go with so Chalmers can conclude the idea. Genius
@UpMy Bum it's kind of hard in my experience to get across exactly "how hard" this is to nonmusicians. It's certainly not "easy", and takes effort as well as skill, but nonmusicians often kind of overrestimate what's kind of happening when people do this. if we played maybe three or 4 different "arrangements" of these kind of settings it would probably be clearer.
Not only did every bit of this sound incredible, you even managed to resolve every phrase without it sounding really out of place. You have unfathomable talent, good sir
Words cannot begin to describe this video’s beauty. From the dub fitting the mood of every part of the video, to little moments like harmonizing Skinner’s yawn with a D key, this clearly had hard work put into it. The accompaniment whenever there was actual music was really nice too. All in all, this is top-tier shitposting at its finest.
I love direct harmonizing videos, but this is really incredible too. You took some liberties with the pitches and ended up making it sound like a really interesting and on-point score.

You are a genius, my friend!

You've done grander dubs. You've done more emotional and technically impressive dubs. But this one is still my favorite. Your use of the music to convey genuine feelings during the utter falderal of the scene to comedic effect, the Devil's Staircase-like bit about the Auroroa Borealis, the stand-up chords when Agnes shouts for help, the way the chord you play when Seymour yawns paints the fire behind him, the way it all sounds so appropriate despite how obviously silly it is to put music like what you wrote to what is being shown, everything about this dub is magical.
Can you imagine, its before musical practice, the piano in the chorus room is uncovered. Someone sits down, plays this. "What are you playing?" "Steamed hams."
