This tour is on par with your best! I used to walk to Sims part all the time when I lived in Port Richey. Love FL! (I was Biden speak in Sims when he was campaigning for Obama. He is a great man and we are lucky he is our POTUS!) Loved all the Hollywood and Lloyd Bridges tye-ins. 👍
The old Florida vlogs are so cool. Creature was my favorite universal horror film and one of the films that inspired me to learn to dive. I got to meet Ricou Browning a few years ago, he was very nice.
Hey Jorden. This brought back memories. My parents took me there when I was a young kid. My Dad knew he was going to move to Florida when he retired. He did & he moved 20 minutes from this place. That whole area is beautiful. Swimming with the manatee is by far my favorite thing to do. Take care!
Rico browning was actually an Olympic swimmer that's why he was able to hold his breath so long, and swam so effortlessly In the movie. Which Is my all time Fav Movie by the way, so thank you Jordan for allowing me to see this, cause being in Canada I probably will never get to see it in person. So thx my friend!
Loved the tour today! Brought back memories of my first visit as a kid (about 1961) who loved watching Sea Hunt on tv. Yup, inspired me to become a scuba diver in the 1980s. Came back many years later to enjoy as an adult in late 90s. Still the same beautiful place!
Thank you for bringing the warmth and wonder of Floridas natural fun sites. I love this kind of tour. We usually go to FLA every winter coming from New Hampshire but haven't been since pre-pandemic. This was great!!
Back in the sixties you could go swimming in the springs lovely white sand like a beach my mom and dad took my brother and i and my dad took movies of us swimming and playing in the sand i was about 7 and my brother was about 4 good memories now im 70 and i know they dont let you swim or play on the beach in the sand alot has changed but thank you for the memories
This was so fun to watch. So interesting to hear about all the TV shows & movies filmed there. I loved Seahunt & the Bond movies so this was really special to me. The lady giving the tour did such a great job. I love that you take us places we may never of heard of or seen. This was definitely one of those for me. Loved this! Thanks Jordan. 💙
Us locals really miss the old days with the concerts and water park. When my son was still in a stroller a giraffe leaned over and stole my son's French fry cup from his hands. Of course, he just wanted the rest of the fries, some lady nearby mouthed off then another visitor, (a big guy) told that lady off. It was quite the scene. My hubby's storage lot had one of the glass bottom boats parked in there for a while too. Glad to see they saved those tours with the wonderful guides. Sorry to miss out on running into you, lol. Great video! 😊😊
Oh, Jordan! Love this video!!! The wonderful memories it brings back!! Visited here when i was 14 years old back in 1972. Thank you! Still watching and enjoying your great video... Thanks! 🏆👏
Its no where near as nice as it used to be, all the fish at the boat dock in which there were thousands have gone and Ross Allens Reptile institute closed due to a worker getting bit by A rattle snake and died in which they were sued. The fish left I was told because of a damn that was built and took the oxygen out of the water.
Wow, I never knew of this place ! I remember many of the shows and movies growing up. So Cool to see the sites that were part of those Films. This was Fun ! Thank You, Jordan !! 😊
❤This a very cool vlog Jordan ,I love creature of the black lagoon , definitely reminds me of that movie .Thank for taking all us with you on this cool adventure jordan happy Valentine's Day❤ to katie an Jah of course you .
Spent a lot of hours at Silver Springs and the water park that used to be right beside it that is sadly now gone. We had family that lived on the east side of Ocala, so we always bought a pass to the water park/Silver Springs. Thanks for doing a video on it. Brought back a lot of memories.
Went there when I was 10 or 11 with my family, and cried, saying I didn't want to leave the beach for some old glass bottom boat! 😅❤ Surprise, surprise! I loved it. ❤
I totally enjoyed this vlog/video! So cool that you saw so many manatees! I love Anhinga, I saw them in the Everglades, very cool birds! The lady who led the group was great, I love how she explained everything. Thank you for taking us along! I did go on a glass bottom boat in the Cayman Islands, and it was amazing (best part of the cruise I was on)
Such a neat place. I went on a glass bottom boat in an underground lake and it was a cool experience. Take care till next time. Also Hi to Katie and Jah. ~Love&Light♥️C.
So neat! I went there when I was a kid. We always went to Daytona Beach for a week. Thanks Jordan for getting to relive some great childhood memories! Take care and safe travels ❤️ The boat captain was awesome!
Thank you ever so, Jordan the Lion, for one of the MOST AWESOME 👍 videos EVER!!! I haven't been here in something like 40 yrs, but as kids in the 1960's n 1970's as a teenager our family vacationed every year in Daytona Beach as my Dad had a client he did accounting books for who owned a motel there, n we got free rooms for 2 weeks n my Mom made sure we experienced EVERY attraction available, n this is one of the few remaining ones that survived. WONDERFUL that you filmed n let us experience with you this AWESOME Natural wonder if Ocala, Florida!!! That was one of the MOST ULTIMATE tours EVER!!!!. GREAT job!!! Gave me a fabulous walk down memory lane!!! I hope to some day see this live again one more time before I die, n I am already 66!!!
Thanks Jordan this was a very pretty video! That was really a cool place and that glass bottom boat was fun. The manatees are having a little bit of a rough winter this year keeping warm.
This is beautiful, thank you Jordan for the Vlog! I visited there in 1990 and it is still a memory close to my heart. Silver Springs is amazing and Manatees are such treasures, next to Elephants. I didn’t know they are related in the same family but it makes sense being how special both are. ♥️
Hi, Karen-- My parents went there on their honeymoon, too, in 1951. They took us there on a family vacation in June of '72 when i was 14. It was my favorite part of the trip. (It was the first summer for Disneyworld, which was kind of a bust, as the park was stillninder construction, and the few attractions open had lines of over an hour's wait.) What a special place Silver Springs is, full of history, entertainment, and family memories.
@@2Hearts3 hi! I have never been there but I definitely have it on my bucket list! My first time to Disney was 1979, I was a senior in high school. You are so right - we have magical memories! The 60’s and 70’s were the best times to be a kid/teenager!
Definitely a place I'd like to go to I'm 49 and been married for 28 years and we've only taken one small vacation.. something simple and beautiful as this would be well worth the drive from southern Illinois...... Another great video Jordan ✌️
@@DazewithJordantheLion my wife and I don't have kids and we've always have adopted rescue dogs and always had 3 or more and some with special needs and now we're down to just having one fur baby so we may be able to bring him along I'm so glad you mentioned seeing ppl having dogs there!!! Thanks again for another amazing video
The tout guide has a great voice and a good sense of humor. I went on a glass bottom boat in Key West. It was going faster and the whole bottom was glass. Not just part of it. It made me feel sea sick :(
Turned on Born Yesterday on TH-cam while I ate dinner this evening and was very surprised when it wasn't Shelley Winters but a lady named Judy Holiday I was watching lol they could be twins both in looks and personality
Great video , sad for me because that place is a shell of its former self . I miss the safari rides with bears giraffes etc plus real rides it was great , gone forever
Awesome video! But I wanted to add when I was there 2 years ago the guy who did the tour told us that the three statues underwater were used in an episode of I spy and thrown in the water and left there by the film crew. I have found the footage from the I spy episode of the three statues in question. They were Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades.
Hi Jordan just want to say hi bc I'm new here and I've watched alot of ur videos and I want to thank you so much for ur adventures I have a few health problems and I live through you my friend ty so much. We have alot in common with things we like except I'm a huge Cardinals fan lol. My girlfriend works for Rawlings in St Louis and she handles equipment such as gloves, bats and helmets and lots of other items for MLB. I watched your video at the Louisville bat company and I think you would enjoy and have alot of material to video if you would choose to check out the Rawlings company. And I got a insider to get u in lol. TY again and congrats on ur engagement and I love little Jah!!!!
I've been there. They have monkeys there from the old Tarzan movies. They said that they couldn't catch them all so they left a bunch of them there. The river is 99.9% pure. Like you can drink it straight from the river. The boats run on electric cause they don't want pollution in the river.
Jordan! You have inspired me so much. I've gained more knowledge, on hollywood, actors and actresses and etc then i thought i'd have interest in. because of that i am more hungry for eduction/knoweledge then i ever been, now i'm hoping to launch my own podcast!! Ps. Could you possibly dive into the life and death of jean Harlow. Your friend- madison

Really enjoyed this video! I'll never make it to Florida, so it was lovely riding along with you on this adventure.
I just screamed! I'm writing a book right now that's set in Silver Springs!
My aunt and uncle used to live not far from there ♥️💖♥️💖 I miss them

That wasn't the reason he could hold his breath though. He wasn't a teenage Olympian
Very Cool ride, Canada has been Lucky Lately haveing Florida Weather, But a Snowstorm coming tomorrow, ENJOY the 🌞🌞🌞
Thank you Jordan, this was fantastic. This is so interesting, I learned a lot from this.
