    I am 86. Some fifty years ago I composed a little poem that I like you to read. It goes like this: ETERNITY. I have been the sky , and I have been the sea. I have been the wind and I have been the tree. This is why I know that I was, that I am and after I die, through the quantic atoms of my body I will become part of the earth and the universe, even may be of a human body, during eternity. Thank Swami Sarvapriyanand for reading my poem, I hope you like it.

    Hi, thanks to the guest and host and the laudworthy discussion. May I offer some constructive criticism - though quite soft, to me personally the background music was distracting enough that I couldn’t finish watching the video. Personally I really, really don’t think it is necessary at all (to make the discussion more entertaining? tranquil?) and that there would be nothing lacking whatsoever if it was just Swamiji’s voice and his pure unadulterated wisdom! Just my opinion

    Some of us also feel blessed to have known God existed in physical form as Bhagawan Satya Sai Baba. He preached only about purity of heart i.e. love for all beings and service to needy ones. That's more of a path of bhakti. It has been easy path to follow since we have seen His godhood in physical proximity. TH-cam channel is full of His divine experiences. Just instinctive thought sharing without any evil intent.👋

      you don't know basics of vedanta... firstly there is not even two sats, there is only one sat, so where is question of one sat doing it to another sat? it's like you are dreaming. you and the person in front of you in the dream world are both made of you, they're the same thing, because everything is happening in your mind. so if they try to kill you are YOU actually trying to kill yourself? it's an illusion

    • @vanamalik3989
      @vanamalik3989 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      In my opinion it takes even more courage and even more character to be dispassionate and live a dharmic life in a world where the distinction between moral and immoral is virtually becoming non-existent. Survival of the fittest ? Added complexity is who defines what is moral and what is immoral ? And how many people can resist the pointed barb at "you are not smart and you do not know how to live" etc. More and more questions.

      @@ananthan8951 Factors that play a critical role in this predetermination are karmA, avidyaa, vaasanaa, ruchi, and prakruti sambandam. All of them work independently as well as inter related/linked in a multitude of combinations. Discerning them and comprehending what we are and what we are not is probably the first step towards vidyaa. IMO. "Not entirely developed in a single life" is very true and it is the very foundation of sanaatanadarmaa vis-a-vis jeevaatma tatvam. This is probably the most important understanding one needs to earn. Once it is comprehended, understood, accepted, realised and internalised in our way of life, one cannot but wonder about the next life/lives and the purpose. I think you have put it succinctly. "Made in the Image of God". Now the attributes ascribed to God are: Omnipotent (all powerful) Omnipresent (everywhere present) Omniscient (all knowing) Eternal (without beginning and without end)
    Human Beings are in the very same Image as that, and have all these same attributes in potential. Including (Eternal) existed before birth and will exist after death.
    It is about this thing that phycologists call the "unconscious" and Viktor Frankl alluded to in his book "The Unconscious God". God described Himself in the Bible as "I AM" that which is self aware, or aware of a "Self". But also "I AM THAT I AM" or my "Self" can be whatever I choose it to be. An authentic "Image of God" or a "Thought Imagined" Image of Ego false "Self".
    But "Image of God" means that everything "experienced" is Self Created. But the thing is that it COULD NOT BE EXPERIENCED IN THAT WAY, if we were always "conscious" that it was our "SELF" who was doing it. So the "Image of God" SELF has to be "unconscious" about the "Creation" part, so we are only aware of the "Observation" part. And the creation part seems to be coming from some EXTERNAL source. (the so called thought created Maya)

      Religion is the first step of humans in understanding the world. It's outdated by many hundred years and mostly false. What Swamiji mentoned about the Buddhis's interpretation is somewhat correct. Suffering is all pervasive in nature. Other animals have stayed with natural instincts, so their sufferings (except at the hands of humans) are around the instincts only. Humans have the power of thoughts and over the course of millions of years have developed complex societal systems. Human sufferings are a result of societal interplays. If you could go to a jungle and could live alone in a natural way, your sufferings will again fall back to the ones related to instincts.

    How can a 15 yr old who had a childhood trauma so the view point changes and then is naturally drawn to spirituality and after ups and downs , comes to advaita and finds that as an only possible thing. But, it's hard to walk that path because all childhood things comes up and world also seems weird along with teenage hormone fluctuations especially by being a female.
    Should one have individuality first and be materialistic a bit with ethics and basics of advaita and only then maybe st 18 or after university then only to go in this by being in contacting with Ramakrishna mission because alone it maybe hard, And trusting others too

      One's vasanas/tendencies does't end that easily, even after hearing about vedanata. Constant practice with moral life is necessary. its a hard stream to cross even in this age. If you are sincere you should speak to a swami / maas at sarada math about joining them. But remember the strict rules and regulations one who is actually spiritual should keep.
      Sree Ramakrishna says you have to long for god as the one whos head is held into the water gasps for a breath of air in order to see him.
      Otherwise like Sree Ramakrishna said practice bhakti yoga which is most suited for this yuga, never consider it as inferior to jnana yoga. Childhood traumas maybe hard but nothing is incurable, work on yourself asking god to help, witness the minds fluctuations on varying occasions, love yourself more, be patient. You will certainly be alright.

    I am commenting on the title. Saying God created Suffering is very wrong. Likewise for Joys. The inevitable nature of Samsaaram is to be a conduit for the discharge of paapam and puNyam manifesting as sufferings and joy by way of actual experience to the jeevaatmaas bonded by their pUrva janma karmaas. God in his infinite and default kind self has designed a very well calibrated discharge system, aka prarabdam to (a) discharge and (b) in the process enable irrefutable insights into the self i.e. jeevaatman and through such insights the very nature of divinity aka Iswaraa. The sambandha gnyaanam between the two sets the stage for paramapurushaartha lakshiyam (Goal). So please don't frame God for your, mine and our karmic experiences. Instead you can credit him for the insights he enables through them. For the aspiring learners, God almighty is dwelling within. He guides and teaches which we call as intuition. Learn to trust it and abide by it and in time just like a flower that blossoms, deep insights into vedaantaa will blossom. Meanwhile, the pursuit of learning (from Gurus, formally as well as informally, which seems to be the order of the day) will stimulate the intellect. But will not be sufficient to make determinations on our own. The goal is not to make our own determinations. But to gain an insight into the wonderful determinations made by the guruparampara. Alas there are so many. How to distinguish ? Delink intellect from our personal likes and dislikes and swabimaanam and stay firmly link with the intuition at all times. It will guide in seperating the satyam from mityaa, which initself is a mityaa. Learning divinity is both complex and simple. After all dualism drives samsaaram.

      The question is why did God create a world in which papam is possible?

    • @vanamalik3989
      @vanamalik3989 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nikkivjyn God created this samsaara mandalam aka world for the jeevatmaas afflicted with eternal karmaa. karmaa is eternal because the jeevatmaas are eternal just like Iswaraa and moolaprakruthi. Eternity is fundamental to all philosophies. It is also fundamental to science (Conservation and infinity) albeit it not being philosophy. The eternal nature of jeevatmaas link to its eternal papa and punya karmaa and God created this world for the discharge of both. The next question will then be, what after mukti. Diverse philosophies are there wrt this subject. According to vishista advaitam, the world that jeevaatmaas go after attaining mOksham is called paramapadam where as you probably wish, there is no karmaa implying no paapam or punyam. Just pure natural bliss and gnaanaa, two side of the same coin kind of inseparable dharmaas. gnyaanaananda mayam. SwAmy Raamaanujaa has detailed all of this in total confirmity to all vedaas and not parts and brahmasUtraa aka saariraka saastram. All that I can say is vedaantaa is a subject that should be studied methodically and such a pursuit is blissful. Trust I have given an idea for you to ponder further. Now, if you do't mind, this space belongs to SwAmy sarvapriyaanandaa and I/we cannot usurp it. Since I was taken aback by the title I commented. Now I am going further beyond the title. It is inappropriate. So let me stop here. Any further interaction if desired then it has to be outside this thread. daasan.

      Problems of human beings are purely physical; that is.... the discomforts experienced due to physical problems are taken to the mental plane(psychological plane) and named as problems of life. Physical issues are to be addressed through physical means; psychological imaginations have to be "understood" as imagination which can't be addressed in any other manner except through an understanding the false as false( no physical reality of his / her complaints )!
