Italy is so beautiful.
Sì, Mairim!
I've been visiting the Cinque Terre since 1969 and cringe at the amount of current tourism but you did a concise job of representing the beauty of the area with a bit of sweetness to boot.
Thank you! Wow, 55 years, you must know the area well! How has your time in Cinque Terre changed with more tourists around?
What a stunning area, thank you for sharing a great video to help explore Cinque Terre.
Thank you! ♥️
Very informative and beautiful video. Thank you ❤️

We chose Sarzana as a base to visit the Cinque Terre and it was fantastic. Authentic, relaxing with kind and welcoming people. We loved walking in the evening in its beautiful old town. We recommend it to everyone because it is little touristy and you feel at home
Sarzana sounds lovely, I'm going to check it out! I'm happy you had a good time, thank you for sharing!

What a nice place❤
Recently visited all five this year, I'm from Texas. Absolutely blown away breathtaking!
It is indeed beautiful!
Hey, how did you get there? Was it part of a tour or did you take the train? If by train, what city did you go from? I’ve always wanted to visit there.
We will be visiting from Texas in June. Can you tell me which village you stayed in and where you stayed. I am looking for something to book now. It will only be my husband and I, so anything with one bed and a private bath will do and air conditioning! Thank you. 🏖🛫
@@rhondamcgee2114 Just pick Monterosso because it has a beach.
@@rhondamcgee2114 I actually stayed at a decent airbnb in La Spezia nearby the Cinque Terre - staying in the towns themselves needs booking well in advance, maybe at-least month. I first took a speedboat tour (from La Specia) of all five towns in the same day that included a swim at a beautiful grotto (inaccessible by foot) and on-foot exploration of Monterosso. I then took some day trips to the rest from La Spezia, coming back in the evening. There's a lot more places to stay in the nearby La Spezia but transportation to the Cinque Terre towns becomes a factor. I thought Riomaggiore was the most beautiful of the five, Monterosso is the one with the beach. Next time I'll probably book a place in Riomaggiore and explore the night life. Some tips for Italy: 1) use cash 2) ask for the price in small / tourist shops before buying (quanto) 3) learning a little bit of basic Italian can go a long way since the majority of Italy isn't very fluent in English (I found the same with Spain too). At times I'd use the Google translate app's "speak" function as well which had some people overjoyed. Younger business career Italians are pretty fluent in English though.
Thanks so much really useful and beautiful
Glad it helps you. Thank you, Alison!
Néhány éve voltunk ott mi is, Riomaggioréban volt a szállásunk. Csodálatos volt az a néhány nap, amit ott töltöttünk!

Eva that was an awesome video. How is it for solo travelers, did you stay at one towne and explore other four?
Thank you, Joe! I was there with my best friend but it's a great place for solo traveling, in my opinion. :) We stayed in one town, Riomaggiore and explored from there!
wow soooper - I want to go here - right now🤓

Very nicely explained. Top content. I am planning to visit this region in this summer with my family. Do u have any pizzeria recommendations by any chance.
Thank you so much! Pizzeria Kepris and Da Dulin seems well liked in Riomaggiore. We liked the Take Away option to enjoy some pizza on the cliffs. 🌞
拍得真好,不必去旅游,还能学学英语,音乐也好听,关注了!😊
Thank you, Hwoi!
Hi Eva! Thank you for this awesome video! I am visiting NEXT MONTH!! I am wondering if there are any restaurants that I have to try? Even if they're expensive! Thanks
Hi! Thank you! I liked a restaurant near the church of Riomaggiore, I can‘t tell you what it‘s called though, sorry. Otherwise I would just suggest going on time, exploring the places you‘re staying and listening to your gut when you see a restaurant you like! ☺️
Will try to visit this place this year. We were in Portofino two years ago and planned to visit Cinque but ran out of time and was too hot.
Hope you get to visit! 🥰
Hi Eva, thanks for the nice video. It's very useful for me, who are going to go there next week. One question, how much we have to pay for the kayaking? 😊
Hey Gu, i‘m glad that the video is helpful! ☺️ The double kayak was 20 euros for one hour (or 30 euros for two). Enjoy the Cinque Terre! 🌞🍕
Thank you for this informative video. I would love to check out the apartment you stayed at. The link you have send gives several places, but the first one is called "Hotel Villa Argentina". Was that the apartment you were talking about?
Hey Isabella! I can‘t recommend that specific apartment with a clean conscience due to some things that happened (nothing major). If you book through the link, I receive a small commission. Thanks for the support!
ahh I understand :) Thank you! @@earthwitheva
Great area of Italy! Ciao.
Grazie! I agree. 😊
Nice video, going there tomorrow - wanna be prepared for my vlog. Thank you!
Thank you and good luck with your vlog!
Great video! We will visit Cinque Terre in May this year. We are travelling with our 2 year old and are curious if we can get around with our buggy? Or wouldnt you recommend that?
Hey Duygu, thank you! In Riomaggiore there are lots of stairs, so I wouldn’t really recommend a buggy! In the other towns it might be easier!
Corniglia _does_ have an harbor which is absurdly beautiful. Only large boats full of tourists cannot land there. Also, it's ca 100m above sea level in all the places that matter, not 180 :) Otherwise, great video. I love that you captured the one-eared cat from Corniglia :)
Thank you for the correction and glad you enjoyed my video otherwise! ☺️
Vado domani da monza🎉🎉

Love it very attractive.
Really love the video, information, and your calm speaking style. It makes the video bearable to watch in its entirety, unlike some others. We are planning a honeymoon and Cinque Terre will be one of the stops. How many nights do you suggest? Is 4 to 5 too many? It will likely be the only part of Italy we see. Prior we plan to be in France. Thank you.
Hey DG! Thank you for commenting, I‘m really glad you like the video! 😊 I spent three nights in Riomaggiore. The amount felt right to me but I wouldn’t have been mad about another day or two. It really depends on what you and your partner want to see and do and at what pace. If you want to explore the five towns thoroughly, I think anything between 3 and 5 nights is really good. Have an amazing honey moon! :)
what airbnb do you recommend the best in CINQUE TERRE for 2 couples (4 people) in June?
Hi Eva ! I love your video :) May I know if I can use the 18 euros ticket from Milan to Cinque Terre ? Thanks a lot
Thanks, Amanda! I think that should be possible.
Very nice
Thank you!
Great information on Riomaggiore. Thanks Eva. Just a doubt, is it too noisy to stay close to the harbour? Please share the link to the place where you stayed.
Hey Ramaaah, thanks for commenting! I imagine that it could be a bit noisier close to the harbour. Our apartment was in 5 minute walking distance. I don't feel comfortable sharing the location anymore after reading the reviews, sorry! Enjoy your stay there! 😊
@@earthwitheva I can understand .. no probs. Thanks again for your prompt reply 🥰
@@earthwithevawas it a bad review?
All I think about is Luca when I see this
Haha, might have to watch that movie then! Did you like it? 😊
Hello, nice video, thank you.
Is the water not too cold to swim in early May?
Thanks! You‘ll find info about this on Google.
@@earthwithevaLord, she’s asking you. Tell her which month you went and your opinion on how cold the water is. Come on. Think a little bit.
@@heythave I never went in May, i can‘t know. Also, I‘m not a search engine for every question you might have. Think a little bit.
@@earthwitheva I am not suggesting you do the search for her, but say something to the likes of this…I don’t know about May, because we went in July and the water was slightly cold but we were able to swim fine.
Hello! I am about to visit Cinque Terre with my partner. We are going to stay for 3 days, would you recommend getting the Cinque Terre Card? Is it 47 for each person?
Thank you, great video! 🙂
Hi! Yes, I recommend the card, we bought one as well! It's 33 euro for two and 47 for 3 days if I remember correctly. Thanks for watching! :)
Lovely video. On a rainy winters day in England I loved this!
Tell me, which of the five has the most affordable places to stay? Thank you!
Thank you! From my research, I think Riomaggiore is the most affordable. ☺️ Love from also rainy Switzerland!
Great video, just wondering is every town very hilly or just riomaggiore?
Hey Max, thanks! Not all towns are as hilly as Riomaggiore, I think Monterosso is the flattest.
Thanks for all of the information. is the Lovers Lane section reopening in 2024? Do you know which month it is reopening?
From what I know, it will reopen in July.
I’ll be on cruises that will dock at Genoa and La Spezia. Are any of these near cinque terre by train? How’s the water for swimming in April/May? Thank you!
There‘s the 5 Terre Express you can take from La Spezia! I‘m not sure about water temperature but I would guess it‘s pretty cold.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Goodinformation on the towns. Trying to get a better understanding of the accommodation offered.
where is the link to the apt Eva?
Hi! How can I buy the pass ? Which village of five I should start first ? And then what village I should stay for convenience visits all 5 villages. Thank you.
Hey! I bought my pass at the tourist office. Where you want to stay and what village to explore first is really up to your preference! I explored all the villages starting from the village I stayed at. I included a link in the info box where you can book your accommodation. Hope this helps! 😊
@@earthwitheva . Thanks a lot!
Monterosso is an amazing town
Agreed! ☺️
Do you recommend visiting it end of March? Do you think the weather to be good during March?
I‘m sure it‘s beautiful! :) I have no clue about the weather, I would research that.
Molto bene
Grazie!
Hey can you reserve a spot at the beaches? With the umbrella?
Hi Meghna, which one are you thinking about? In my experience there aren‘t really a lot of people renting umbrellas. In Monterosso maybe!
@@earthwitheva yes in moterosso. Can you rent an umbrella? If not, are the beaches safe to leave your stuff and go for a swim?
@@meghnaagrawal26 I‘m pretty sure you can rent an umbrella and chair from a restaurant. You‘ll find more information online. I had no problem leaving my stuff though. :)
can I get the link to where you stayed in riomaggiore? also whats the most picturesque of the 5 villages?
Hey Daryl, as previously mentioned, I don‘t share that link, as I don‘t recommend staying there. Hard decision on the villages, each has its charme, but I would probably say Vernazza or Riomaggiore!☺️
@@earthwitheva where did u stay which village?

Ciao Vlad!
Hello! How are you? I'm going to Cinque Terre in June with my wife, can you give me the tour you did in two days and where to stay? Thanks a lot
Hey Brian, I‘m good, hope you are aswell! I did exactly what I did in the video! The place I can‘t recommend unfortunately. Enjoy your stay!
what time of year do u suggest going?
Hey Natalie & Delilah! It really depensds what you want. The months from April to June and September to October tend to be less busy. In July and August it can be pretty hot and crowded but I was there in the end of July and it was doable!
Hello!
Could you tell me what month you were in Cinque Terre?
Hi Réka, I was there at the end of July!
Thank you for this.
I've always wanted to know.
What is it like to stay? So many times we see travellers coming in the morning and getting out of the area as soon as they have taken their insta shoots. But we don't often see anything about life and travel as a local at breakfast, or after the tourists leave at dinner time.
What is your opinion of these times?
Thank you for your comment, Rosanna!
After dinner time when the swarms of tourists have left, I think Cinque Terre is relatively calm, perfect for a stroll or a dip! To experience everyday life and to immerse yourself in it, I would suggest staying a couple days.
@@earthwitheva So, I'm guessing you're one of the insta crowd who adds to the over-tourism.
@@rosannathomson5282 Yes, I am a tourist. My best friend and I spent a couple days in Cinque Terre, supported local businesses and traveled by train. But believe what you will, Rosanna.
@@earthwitheva yeah, I will.
@@earthwitheva amiga, this over tourism is literally why the country’s economy is partly okay … 🤡
Can you just ride the ferry around to each town if you don’t want to get out and explore?
Yes, there are ferrys but I would suggest renting a boat to explore all the places at your own pace!
Does the Eurail pass cover the trains between the 5 villages?
From what I found in the internet, Eurail passes can be used but the fares are so low that it would be a waste of a day of the pass.
Don‘t forget to subscribe. :)
@@earthwitheva Thanks, your video is great and the the most informative and entertaining.
@@adventurevin7600 Thank you so much, Vin!
Hi, is traveling Cinque Terre physically challenging/exhausting? will it be suitable to travel for pregnant woman in her first trimester?
There are lots of stairs in some villages but I think you should be fine.
@@earthwitheva Thanks for the reply! Would you recommend a day trip from Florence or an overnight stay in Cinque Terre?
@@ELFkangin That really depends what you want to see and do!
@@earthwitheva Hi again! I think my husband and I will plan a day trip from Florence to Cinque Terre. We are planning to visit Manarola and Riomaggiore, arriving train around 11:50 and departing train around 18:30. Do you think we can do 2 villages within 6 hours?
Yeah, I think so. :) @@ELFkangin
Is there a link to the apt?
Hey, I don't feel comfortable sharing the location anymore after reading the reviews, sorry! Enjoy your stay!
@@earthwitheva oh did other guests not have as good an experience as you did?
@@epp It’s the overall experience (not the apartment itself), that doesn’t sit right with me. Hope you find something nice though.
@@earthwithevaYou should share where the place is and tell us about your experience that you feel made you uncomfortable to stay at this place. This way, you are useful in helping other travelers from getting into something unseemly. When you don’t share, the same thing happens over and over again, like the girl who got assaulted and kept quiet because of shame or whatever and the same person keeps committing the same crime to many other people.
Italy is the most beautiful place in the world
