สงกรานต์เป็นประเพณีไทยที่สำคัญและโด่งดังไปทั่วโลก หลายๆคนรู้จักประเพณีนี้ในชื่อของ water festival เพราะคนไทยเล่นน้ำกันอย่างสนุกสนาน แต่จริงๆแล้วประเพณีสงกรานต์มีอะไรมากกว่ากิจกรรมเล่นน้ำ
ระหว่างวันที่ 13-15 เมษายนของทุกปีเป็นวันหยุดสงกรานต์ หลายๆคนกลับบ้านต่างจังหวัดเพื่อใช้เวลาอยู่กับครอบครัวของตนเอง หลายคนก็กลับไปเยี่ยมครอบครัว ไปพบเจอกับญาติ กลับไปหาคุณตาคุณยาย ถือว่าช่วงสงกรานต์คือช่วงเวลาของครอบครัว
กิจกรรมในช่วงสงกรานต์มีมากกว่าการเล่นน้ำ ตามประเพนีไทยมีกิจกรรมมากมาย ทั้งสรงนำ้พระซึ่งพูดง่ายๆว่าเป็นการอาบน้ำพระพุทธรูป และการรดน้ำดำหัวญาติผู้ใหญ่ซึ่งใช้น้ำหอมลอยดอกมะลิเป็นการให้ความเคารพแก่ญาติผู้ใหญ่ ญาติผู้ใหญ่ก็จะอวยพรให้เด็กๆมีความสุข
หลังจากนั้นเด็กๆหรือผู้ใหญ่บางคนก็เล่นน้ำ สาดน้ำ ฉีดน้ำกันอย่างสนุกสนาน ฉันคิดว่าประเพนีสงกรานต์นี้มีอะไรหลายอย่างที่เกี่ยวข้องกับน้ำ อาจจะเป็นเพราะว่าอากาศในช่วงเมษายนร้อนมาก เป็นช่วงที่ร้อนที่สุดของปีเลยใช้น้ำคลายร้อน
ในทางศาสนาพุธหลายๆคนก็ไปทำบุญที่วัด ก่อเจดีย์ทราย ที่วัดประจำถิ่นก็จะจัดงานฉลองสงกรานต์มีคอนเสิร์ต กิจกรรมเต้นรำวง หรือมีร้านค้าขายของขายอาหารภายในงาน
โชคไม่ดีทั้งปีนี้และปีที่แล้ว รัฐบาลสั่งห้ามจัดกิจกรรมสงกรานต์หรือแม้แต่เล่นนำ้เพราะโรคโควิท19 ปีนี้หลายๆคนเลยเลือกที่จะอยู่บ้านพักผ่อนหรือไป

Should I bother learning Thai if I am unable to roll my R's?
