HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!
My favorite 11: 11: Ngau Zai Gwat 10: Fun guo 9: Cha siu bao (my kids love them) 8: Lo Mai Gai (a meal unto its own!) 7: Dan tat (a great desert dish) 6: Shrimp Chee Cheong Fun (not in hot pot thou) 5: Lo Bak Go (best carrot cake, sort of, in the world!) 4: Fung zaau (my wife's favorite and most women's too for that matters, don't know why) 3: Ngau juk jyun (my kids love'em) 2: Siu Mai 1: Har Gow (everybody's favorite)
You make me soooo hungry. I live in Tennessee and finding fresh Chinese food like this would be a blessing. Everything is so Americanized and processed. I am living through you my friend :)
If you have a chance to go to Canada (which is closer than China) go to Vancouver in B.C. they have a large Chinese population and all the yummies he's eating here, are there, and just as good.
Also Toronto, Ontario has a huge Chinese population and a great Chinatown filled with all sorts of good restruants. My friend had an epic meal at a Dim Sum place their! I wish I could go!
@@totoh82 Toronto, Ontario is home to also some of the best dim sum chefs now. Instagram search #Torontodimsum #yuseafood #dragonboatchinesecuisine #mywonderfulkitchen #premiereballroom #casavictoria 😊
Vancouver has some of the best Chinese Dim Sum in all of Canada, and yes they do serve chicken feet. I am drooling over all the choices you made, my absolute faves are the sticky rice, bbq pork bun, lotus or radish cake and definitely (which you didn't show here) are those insane sesame sweet bean deep fried balls. Great video!
Just discovered your travel videos today & I subscribed. I miss my homelands. Your videos bring back memories and remind me to eat well where ever I am... Merci Beaucoup...
Dim sum is life!!! Can't handle the chicken feet but wake me up for any vegetarian version. Especially the custard buns (the fluffy buns with custard and sometimes they have them in piggy design XD). As a vegetarian I loved the different varieties of tofu dishes in China. Would it be possible to show a little more of those? Thanks for the all the food porn anyway, really appreciate it!
+EnterpriseMe TV Hey I'm sorry for the late reply!!! Yeah, those custard buns are off the hood! Yes, I also love tofu, I will be doing more food in Chengdu soon!
Vegetarian version of .... chicken feet? Are you insane? Don't go vegetarian if you are going to ruin authentic (meat) foods by using terrible vegetarian attempts at meat-substitutes. But we all share your love of dim sum.
When in Guangdong my in-laws took me to their favorite dim sum restaurant every morning. Our restaurant has chicken feet but I only eat chicken feet in China. We have most of these dishes but some of them are slightly different. Make sure you get the spicy oil and soybean sauce which go excellent with most dim sum dishes. Xie xie!!!
Trevor ... I think it is so wonderful when you interact with the local folks and converse in their language ... Their delighted expressions say it all. Do as much of that as you can ... it adds a completely different dimension to your videos. Thanks again for being such a fine ambassador. Bud Miller over in Texas.
yes Trevors getting so very good at conversing, all he used to say was one exclamation , now he can talk to everyone, but only about food. lol. He can’t say a word about the weather or where is the shoe store lolol.
So many you left out! Beef tripe. spare ribs in black bean sauce. Cheong fen with shrimp or cha shao. Spring rolls. Sliced cha shao pork. Gai-lan with oyster sauce. There are so many great dishes. I love dim sum.
Hi ! I like your video very much , i'm wondering how did you learned to speak Chinese Language that well . I am Chinese but I find it's very difficult to learn ! .
Hey Justin! I find that getting a language partner is the best way to go. I used italki before and loved it. Just speak as much as you can, and make a lot of mistakes!

+aaron22075 No need to wait. You can try out dim sum restaurants in any China town. If possible, ask the Chinese (Cantonese) to recommend a good one though.
Just came across your marvelous channel. That No Mai gai is my go to fav! You are a very lucky fellow to be able to eat all that great original Chinese cuisine! Keep them coming!
I just wanted to tell you that chicken feet are not only used in Chinese cooking, but it's also used in Italian cooking. And I also wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos.
Yea, I long for dim sum. I wish there were places closer to me to get the authentic kind. So I'll have to make it myself... ( good luck to me ) lol Thank you Trevor.

I believe he meant that it's not something that's commonly eaten in Canada or used in traditional Canadian Cuisine. Of course something like Chicken Feet which is a staple in Dim Sum, would be available in a authentic Dim Sum Restaurant in Canada.
Such an appetising video, thanks! Had Har Gao plus various others in Singapore 2 years ago.. I have just booked a flight back over there from UK, for more dim sum! Cannot wait!
Nice job! So refreshing to have info on what’s in what you’re eating! That dim sum was beautiful. Nice restaurant. You need to try the bean curd skin rolls. My favorite.
