I agree with basically everything here. The one this i have a difference with is that I think luffy is the sun, imu is the moon, and blackbeard is the dark emptiness of space. Luffy is associated with the sun because light and how you can only pursue your dreams while youre awake and take action. Imu is associated with the moon because of nightmares and how they happen during the night when light is low so your vision is manipulated much like how imu is manipulating the truth. I have long thought that Imu can’t leave the Holy Land. It would make sense for him to make alters for him that could and carry out his will. Especially when it seems likely that the Void Centuary meant they lost their friends that were meant to do so.
As it stands now i would guess 3 things: 1. What the video was about from the "Imus alters" theory 2. Or i would guess that they are actual demons from a time gaining this power by forming somesort of pact with Imu in order too serve thy ruler of the world. 3. My personal theory. could imagine such a Final Fantasy 7 plot. That there is an energy source on Earth (Life Stream) and an ancient civilization could harness this energy, possibly giving rise to the Devil's Fruit (Nika) (In Final Fantasy, such Materia is created). This could also explain the energy source that Vegapunk is seeking. Then there was a dispute between Imu and Joyboy over who would eat this fruit. Perhaps the ancestor of Vivi played a crucial role, leading to Joyboy consuming the fruit and Imu betraying the kingdom, killing her, and then, along with other kingdoms, wiping out the lost kingdom together with Joyboy. Currently, Imu might be able to control this energy source. Perhaps the Five Elders are so powerful because they can constantly heal themselves through the power of the energy source and thus are immortal.
Something that i'd like to point out with Imu's transformed form is that it was at least three times bigger than the Gorosei's and even if scales are not usually representative in those scenes where the characters are shadowed, i'd like to believe that Imu's transformation is absolutely massive in size and this would explain why gigantification takes such a big place in the priorities of the world gvt
The correspondence between horsemen and major antagonist lackies is always 👌. From Flamingo Officers to Kaido's Calamities. Although the ministries of Gorosei appeal to the thematic very well , I am firm enthusiast that the horsemen in the story will be Teach's Captains. Van Auger, Shillew, Laffite and Doc Q seem to be drawn like a medieval maniscript of Apocalypse.

Even though Sengoku is the one with the Buddha fruit it is still quite interesting to me that Imu in Katakana is written as イム, whereas the Kanji for Buddha is written as 仏. I cannot get that out of my head. This might hint at him also being a god. Maybe the One Piece is god being made whole again after being split into 3 entities.
my head canon is that imu and the gorosei use the the frozen chambers of mariejois as part of the immortality operation and it's tied to the planets somehow. 7 chambers. 7 celestial bodies in clovers model. Imu and 5 gorosei leaves room for one more elder star if they use the moon and I tink Figarland Garling is next in line for the operation, and the likely donor body will be eithe r Luffy or Blackbeard. The bodies in the chambers absorb all the damage given to the gorosei, kinda like dorian greys portrait. so the only way to defeat Imu and the gorosei is to destroy the bodies in the chambers. what is needed is a raid on mariejois.
My theory is that the Gorosei really are animals that ate human fruits, and that the human/devils' will/haki supplanted the animal's will. Chopper is an animal that ate a human zoan fruit, Luffys devil fruit is revealed to be a zoan fruit and upon awakening it is explicitly referred to as Joyboy returning, which reinforces the theme of Inherited will but implies that all devil fruits offer a form of immortality. Sabo ate Aces' fire logia fruit and uses Aces' attacks somehow. As for the tusk turning into blades, I assume it is something similar to Bonney accessing Sun God Nikas power via a distorted future or similarly Chopper adding greater variety to his devil fruit via rumble balls. Chopper's devil fruit grants him his normal deer form, a human form, and his 50/50 form, yet Chopper went on to add more forms, his Monster Point sticks out like a sore thumb. Choppers' Monster point looks like a giant Leshen, which is a mythical creature I would put on par with the monsters that the Gorosei turn into. Basically, the monsters we see the Gorosei turn into are all in their own respective "monster point". if we then assume that they are all awakened zoans it could also explain their durability as that was explained by crocodile back in impel down.
I like the idea. I still feel that Tot Musica is a truth from the movie and will 100% show up in cannon but either Brook or BB will replace Uta in being the one connected to it. In the case of BB it makes sense that he have a DF directly related to dreams as the initial DF of his and that's why he seems like more than one person. Because he is like Envy from FMAB. He cannot sleep because his DF devours his capacity to suffer exhaustion of any kind preventing his access to dreams themselves. So he pursues other dreams like a moth to the flame. The Brighter the better and so controlling the world is about as ambitious as you can get. If its Brook then the reason he lived is because his DF sealed Tot Musica into him; the Affro is Tot Musica in the sealed form... Anyway the soul has 5aspects which can have a correlation to the FiveStar I guess. Shen (Mind), Yi(Intellect) , Hun (Ethereal Soul), Po(Corporeal Soul) and Zhi ( Will-Power). If I were fit them , it would be Jubiter, Mercury, Venus, Saturn and Mars.
I think Imu might be a kraken who can use its squid ink to create beings like the gorosei just like a mangaka’s pen would. The gorosei and imu “erase” history/people by scribbling them out with ink, just like scribbling out and erasing Lulusia, covering eveything with darkness, like a mangaka scribbling out their work. They’re scared of nika since he is made of rubber like a true eraser and can reset everything to a normal, like a mangaka’s blank white page, white like the nika form. Maybe that was a tentacle rather than a demon tail.
the gorosei are of the same nature as the ancient weapons, is not coincidence that they are name as the first 5 planets (without earth) and the ancient weapons are the last 3, mercury, venus, mar, jupeter and saturn, poseidon which is a living being (neptune) uranus that I think the giant robot is related because in the last chapter someone said that he looks like a titan walking through hell (in the myth he imprisoned his children in hell) and pluton which might as well be a living being, he is the counter part of hades who is the God of the underworld, and pluton is currently under wano and the fact that the gorosei are in some extent, inmortals, they have to be ancient too. elder is on their names.

One small detail, Blackbeard never was represented by the moon, moon provides light when the sun is absent, that is Zoro. Zoro steps up when Luffy is overwhelmed. Blackbeard is represented by a black hole, he wants to consume the world into his darkness. He absorbed a sun already (Ace) and will eventually will try with Luffy.
I find the idea that the gorosei are somewhat shapeless creatures pretty interesting. In their animal form their eyes look as if there was no soul in it, as if they were an empty shell. So them beeing an invetion that is filled with purpouse and life by imu as the devil seems really plausible to me.
One more thing about that Imu/Uni thing, it is believed in scripture that Hell is inverted. So Mark of the Beast is actually 999, etc. Oda's love of tapping the deep lore could very well be why he wrote "sea" in reverse

Idea that I thought of when the summoning was brought up: all of the Strawhats were sent where they would grow the most, and you can see why they would be sent there except for Brook, who was sent to a summoning circle. Could Kuma have known something about the summoning circle and sent the only Strawhat who could be mistaken for a demonic pressence there in an attempt of stopping something involving the powers of the elders? Maybe they get more powerful when worshipped/respected and trying a summoning like that would be enough to be worshipped/respected?
The thing you said about the 6 altars of Imu might be possible. In chapter 908 there was a person that came in to the butterfly room to tell Imu that the 5 elders were on their way to to meet Imu. Now we don't know who the person is but it's someone else that knows of Imu's existence.
I think the power of the Gorosei are Awakened Zoan, since the end of Wano, Oda has placed the awakened Zoan with a kind of cloud around them, all Gorosei have these clouds around their forms. But that doesn't explain their ability to teleport or communicate with each other, or the fact that they are immortal. I think all these abilities are different things. 1 - Zoan Awakened. 2 - Immortality/Regeneration 3 - Teleportation and Telepathy. All these 3 sets of powers are different things and not just one thing. This reminds me of Obito in Naruto, when he was still Madara his abilities were seen as two different things, but it ended up being a single ability which is Kamui, maybe it's the opposite with the Gorosei, 3 different powers being perceived as one power.

If Luffy represents the Sun, Imu represents the sea, & BB the moon then at some point BB may gain control of Imu temporarily. Because the phases/movements of the moon affect the world's oceans. And all of that is due to gravity. Which means Fujitora may be a key part of turning the tides (pun intended) of war since he has the Zushi Zushi no Mi.

Alright. I'm going to share my thoughts on how the Gorosei regenerate. I'm almost certain that the way they regenerate is, as you mentioned, by shadows. They abuse the light of the sun because it creates shadows which they use to become shapeless, as light is. My theory is that they will need to be eliminated in the dark or underground to be properly killed; they need to be killed in their realm. This would be an inversion of Moria's shadows dying in the sunlight. That or Luffy will need to learn to burn so bright (like the sun) such that shadows are impossible. I like the first much more

We can consider this as Sabo's greatest feat so far but I think the main reason for his escape is King Cobra's Sacrifice and second being the Gorosei mostly keep their powers and Imu's presence as a secret, so they didnt went all out against Sabo on purpose.. so that no one during the reverie can even barely notice them, though by now.... I have long thought that Imu can’t leave the Holy Land. It would make sense for him to make alters for him that could and carry out his will. Especially when it seems likely that the Void Centuary meant they lost their friends that were meant to do so.
As it stands now i would guess 3 things:
1. What the video was about from the "Imus alters" theory
2. Or i would guess that they are actual demons from a time gaining this power by forming somesort of pact with Imu in order too serve thy ruler of the world.
3. The reason Oda did not write the fruits name only the name of the demons/gods we saw because they reached a form beyond Zoan Type powers. Like "fully mastered UI Goku" and so by reaching this level they only refer too the names witch they manifest in as we can see them. How they look and a characteristics of a Zoan Type DF user such as the black cloud or mist around them, i would say this. Either way the Goroseis are just build different.

That there is an energy source on Earth (Life Stream) and an ancient civilization could harness this energy, possibly giving rise to the Devil's Fruit (Nika) (In Final Fantasy, such Materia is created). This could also explain the energy source that Vegapunk is seeking. Then there was a dispute between Imu and Joyboy over who would eat this fruit. Perhaps the ancestor of Vivi played a crucial role, leading to Joyboy consuming the fruit and Imu betraying the kingdom, killing her, and then, along with other kingdoms, wiping out the lost kingdom together with Joyboy. Currently, Imu might be able to control this energy source. Perhaps the Five Elders are so powerful because they can constantly heal themselves through the power of the energy source and thus are immortal.

The correspondence between horsemen and major antagonist lackies is always 👌. From Flamingo Officers to Kaido's Calamities. Although the ministries of Gorosei appeal to the thematic very well , I am firm enthusiast that the horsemen in the story will be Teach's Captains. Van Auger, Shillew, Laffite and Doc Q seem to be drawn like a medieval maniscript of Apocalypse.
The old rubber hose animation style had black, silhouette like beings used as antagonists a lot. Think that messed up dancing skeleton one from way, way back.
Blackbeard’s crew. The guy with wings and doesn’t have his backstory mentioned at all, the flying guy. He could be part of IMU as well.
Even though Sengoku is the one with the Buddha fruit it is still quite interesting to me that Imu in Katakana is written as イム, whereas the Kanji for Buddha is written as 仏. I cannot get that out of my head. This might hint at him also being a god. Maybe the One Piece is god being made whole again after being split into 3 entities.

my head canon is that imu and the gorosei use the the frozen chambers of mariejois as part of the immortality operation and it's tied to the planets somehow. 7 chambers. 7 celestial bodies in clovers model. Imu and 5 gorosei leaves room for one more elder star if they use the moon and I tink Figarland Garling is next in line for the operation, and the likely donor body will be eithe r Luffy or Blackbeard. The bodies in the chambers absorb all the damage given to the gorosei, kinda like dorian greys portrait. so the only way to defeat Imu and the gorosei is to destroy the bodies in the chambers. what is needed is a raid on mariejois.

My theory is that the Gorosei really are animals that ate human fruits, and that the human/devils' will/haki supplanted the animal's will. Chopper is an animal that ate a human zoan fruit, Luffys devil fruit is revealed to be a zoan fruit and upon awakening it is explicitly referred to as Joyboy returning, which reinforces the theme of Inherited will but implies that all devil fruits offer a form of immortality. Sabo ate Aces' fire logia fruit and uses Aces' attacks somehow. As for the tusk turning into blades, I assume it is something similar to Bonney accessing Sun God Nikas power via a distorted future or similarly Chopper adding greater variety to his devil fruit via rumble balls. Chopper's devil fruit grants him his normal deer form, a human form, and his 50/50 form, yet Chopper went on to add more forms, his Monster Point sticks out like a sore thumb. Choppers' Monster point looks like a giant Leshen, which is a mythical creature I would put on par with the monsters that the Gorosei turn into. Basically, the monsters we see the Gorosei turn into are all in their own respective "monster point". if we then assume that they are all awakened zoans it could also explain their durability as that was explained by crocodile back in impel down.
Keep on mind that apocalypse is greek for revelation. And in the world of one piece the clock is ticking for a revelation.

I still feel that Tot Musica is a truth from the movie and will 100% show up in cannon but either Brook or BB will replace Uta in being the one connected to it.
In the case of BB it makes sense that he have a DF directly related to dreams as the initial DF of his and that's why he seems like more than one person. Because he is like Envy from FMAB.

If I were fit them , it would be Jubiter, Mercury, Venus, Saturn and Mars.

I think Imu might be a kraken who can use its squid ink to create beings like the gorosei just like a mangaka’s pen would. The gorosei and imu “erase” history/people by scribbling them out with ink, just like scribbling out and erasing Lulusia, covering eveything with darkness, like a mangaka scribbling out their work. They’re scared of nika since he is made of rubber like a true eraser and can reset everything to a normal, like a mangaka’s blank white page, white like the nika form.

Damn dude that’s an amazing theory. They presented Vegapunk with his 6 Satélites at the beginning of Egghead, just to get us used to that idea. And now, at the end, we see Imu and his 5 demons, which like you said, could be all from Imu.
One small detail, Blackbeard never was represented by the moon, moon provides light when the sun is absent, that is Zoro. Zoro steps up when Luffy is overwhelmed. Blackbeard is represented by a black hole, he wants to consume the world into his darkness. He absorbed a sun already (Ace) and will eventually will try with Luffy.
I find the idea that the gorosei are somewhat shapeless creatures pretty interesting. In their animal form their eyes look as if there was no soul in it, as if they were an empty shell. So them beeing an invetion that is filled with purpouse and life by imu as the devil seems really plausible to me.

Could Kuma have known something about the summoning circle and sent the only Strawhat who could be mistaken for a demonic pressence there in an attempt of stopping something involving the powers of the elders? Maybe they get more powerful when worshipped/respected and trying a summoning like that would be enough to be worshipped/respected?

The thing you said about the 6 altars of Imu might be possible. In chapter 908 there was a person that came in to the butterfly room to tell Imu that the 5 elders were on their way to to meet Imu. Now we don't know who the person is but it's someone else that knows of Imu's existence.
I think the power of the Gorosei are Awakened Zoan, since the end of Wano, Oda has placed the awakened Zoan with a kind of cloud around them, all Gorosei have these clouds around their forms.
But that doesn't explain their ability to teleport or communicate with each other, or the fact that they are immortal.
I think all these abilities are different things.
1 - Zoan Awakened.
2 - Immortality/Regeneration
3 - Teleportation and Telepathy.
All these 3 sets of powers are different things and not just one thing. This reminds me of Obito in Naruto, when he was still Madara his abilities were seen as two different things, but it ended up being a single ability which is Kamui, maybe it's the opposite with the Gorosei, 3 different powers being perceived as one power.

As far as their scars are concerned, as many people are bringing out this point, I think they are either completely consumed by Imu or the fake copies of the orignal people which were the one appointed as 5 Elders and the one who recieved the scars in a battle. The one sitting in the pangea castle are just posing as the real ones.

Alright. I'm going to share my thoughts on how the Gorosei regenerate. I'm almost certain that the way they regenerate is, as you mentioned, by shadows. They abuse the light of the sun because it creates shadows which they use to become shapeless, as light is. My theory is that they will need to be eliminated in the dark or underground to be properly killed; they need to be killed in their realm. This would be an inversion of Moria's shadows dying in the sunlight.
That or Luffy will need to learn to burn so bright (like the sun) such that shadows are impossible. I like the first much more

The Gorosei and Imu could also be an allusion to Rakshasas, or a type of demon in Hinduism that can change shape and are dispelled by the sun. Personally, I think Buddhism and Hinduism have a larger influence on the story than given credit.
